My wife and I have bought sold many houses around world. But we recently bought a flat for the first time, on an upper floor in the South Bank Tower on the river Thames in London. Sounds like it should be simple, right? Well it turns out that transacting on a flat is a whole lot more complex than it is on a house. You have building management and their fees, the leaseholder, sitting tenants, safety legislation and many other considerations, all if which were new to us. Although Bernadette at Coldwell Banker was officially working for the seller, she was in invaluable help to us as well. She knows her patch in London extremely well: whats for sale, whats available off market, what might be for sale and whats coming. She gave us a great education, showed us some off market gems, and held our hands through many twists and turns. On top of which she is a human dynamo and great fun.
