Cabinet d'Ophtalmologie de le Combe
Misdiagnosed and disappointed — no longer trust this practice
I had been a patient at Cabinet d’Ophtalmologie de la Combe under the care of the previous ophthalmologist, who was professional, thorough, and trustworthy. After he retired, I visited the new doctor in February and was told, incorrectly, that I had corneal damage. This was based on an image shown to me during the appointment.
I sought a second opinion in my home country shortly after. The diagnosis there was clear: I have a cataract in one eye, but no damage to the cornea in either eye. This completely contradicted what I was told at this clinic and left me very disappointed.
What’s more, I was repeatedly asked to return for follow-up appointments to complete tests that could have reasonably been done in a single visit. This makes me question the clinic’s motives, whether this is a patient-care issue or an attempt to increase billing.
Due to these experiences, I’ve stopped using this practice and would not recommend it. Patients deserve accuracy, transparency, and respect — especially when it comes to their vision.
