They need to update their sites on google to no longer show the Cobra app on their. It is very misleading. Also, why is there no backwards compatibility for their apps on their older dash cams? I want to get a refund or at the very least get a trade in upgrade but since they can't for mine. They suck. Also, they said that they no longer use/support the IRadar app even though they still have it on their website under where you find all of the other apps

Do not I repeat do not order anything from this company customer service is horrible you try to cancel an order and that web page is not active then in order to find a tracking number you have to download an app you talk to someone at customer service who has no customer service at all just rude

Bought a SC200D camera 2 years ago. The App link so you can view footage on your phone has never worked properly and until recently there has been no customer support. In the recent heatwave the mount that connects the camera by magnet to the windscreen connection a micro USB B type connection actually melted and became loose in the mount causing the camera to not get a constant power supply. I contacted customer support, advising this could have shorted the camera out and caused a fire, to be merely ridiculed by Evan their customer service expert. He continually tried to imply I had incorrectly mounted the camera and connected it using ridiculous connectors that would never fit the aperture, making ludicrous statements, and merely wanted to sell me another mount. I have no idea if they have a complaints procedure but are considering forwarding the information to UK trading standards. If you are considering purchasing a dash cam, do not buy from Cobra aka Cedar electronics, as you will regret it.

I purchased a Cobra dash cam model # CDR859D five years ago, and used it on trips about six times. The USB micro connector broke inside the dash cam and I am unable to connect to it for power. The connector was soldered, and the solder broke. It is a design flaw - no connector should be soldered. I contacted Cobra Service and was told that the dash cam was discontinued and they no longer manufacture, sell, or warranty that cam. I contacted sales to see if, under the circumstances, they would provide a discount on a new dash cam due to the defect in the dash cam. "No" was the answer. I was offered a new dash cam for the standard price and declined, informing the sales agent, "Why would I buy another Cobra product after this experience?" I didn't. Poor quality products and poor cusotmer service - do not buy

I have contacter their customer service SEVERAL times because my SC100 cannot be connected to remote surveillance. NO answer. I will return the dash cam and select another brand.

On June 4, 2024, I sent a detailed letter to Cedar Electronics/Cobra Electronics regarding unresolved issues with my Cobra RAD 480i device, the Drive Smarter application, and the Windows PC software updater tool. Despite multiple attempts to resolve these issues over the past two years, Cedar Electronics has failed to provide any satisfactory solutions. The issues include incorrect model names, connectivity problems, missing updates, and severe bugs in their software. I have contacted Cedar Electronics' support team numerous times, as documented in the ticket numbers provided in my letter, but have only received dismissive and unhelpful responses.

Furthermore, Cedar Electronics/Cobra Electronics recently updated their firmware update page to falsely claim that the latest firmware update (R10) was released recently, while it was actually released in January 2023. This update did not address the known issues that have been present since the release of the product in 2020.

Moreover, Cedar Electronics/Cobra Electronics advertises on their website that their radar detectors receive "regular new updates to improve performance and accuracy" and that they provide a "continuously updated database" for red light/speed camera locations. These claims are false as there have been no regular updates, and the known bugs have not been resolved since the product's release.

As of June 18, 2024, Cedar Electronics/Cobra Electronics has not responded to my letter or taken any action to address these issues.

Wrote the company about an issue with my Nightwatch and the main screen going wacko shortly before warranty expired...but I was too busy at the time to return it. The main screen turned to a jumble, you can't read it. Once in a GREAT while it comes back so I can at least find Channel 19 again without just having to hunt for it. Really annoying. Wont be buying any fancy one again...when the basics dont even work. Poor quality control.
They haven't even bothered to respond....never did. Meh, guess I will be buying different brand after years of owning Cobras, seems their quality and customer service have become an issue.

In 2019 I Bought a top of the line handheld whf radio (hh600) and the radio work perfect, I have been happy with the radio right up until prepare for the sailing season this year.
The li-ion battery was dead, would not charge. Little early I thought, but not alarming, until I tried to get a replacement! Very few stores have it and non in mainland Europe.
Contacted cobra eu. Not helpful as they informed me that charges where out of stock ? I needed a battery.
The danish importer send me auto reply that they do not handle customer questions with a link that just sent me back where I started.
Great product. But rather useless support.
Update: has been contacted by importer Palby marine, who is really doing an effort to help get hold of the battery.

Purchased the CDR900 E .. still going around 200 quid mark ! They no longer support the smartphone app which they boast about to sell the product ! You could immediately upload footage from the dash cam onto your phone making life easier . I have emailed support and they have confirmed they will no longer have the app available for the product ! Just be careful if your buying products from cobra as it appears they don’t really care once they have your money and they don’t maintain customer service ! Wasted a lot of money and now have restricted features .. be wise !
