Clockwork Removals and Storage Omdömen 

Friendly and efficient service

Apologies for delay in submitting my review but due to issues now intending to pursue through FHIO.
The two star is given as contracted Clockwork Removals to help with removal/storage and subsequent move in to new property between 3-17 Sept 2025 which in effect they did.
After reviewing several Removal Firms went with Clockwork due to locality and requirement for storage prior to moving in to new home (and their seemingly reported good reputation). However now wish I had spent some more time reading their 'poorer reviews' because when they get things wrong they seem to do it with STYLE!!!!
We paid for a removal service to store and then subsequent delivery of our items to new property two weeks after initial removal. This was to include dismantling of basic furniture, packing services, appropriate furniture protection, covers etc. We were also happy to pick-up boxes prior to removals and to pack non-breakable items ourselves (mainly clothing books, kitchen utensils, pots & pans etc) and had packed approx. 20 boxes before our planned moving out day of the 3/9/25.
I could write an essay on the 'comedy of errors' that then followed but in summary please see main issues below:
MOVE OUT
- Severe delay in personnel turning up resulting in rushing to make up time and damage then caused to walls and wood flooring due to unprofessional moving of goods.
- No professional organisation (as advertised) and lack of full packing service which I had paid for (my wife and I having to do a lot of this ourselves!)
STORAGE
- Storage of goods had been agreed for two weeks though did try to charge me for three till I objected and they quickly backed down (goods went in on a Wed and came out two weeks later on a Wed -claimed they charged Mon to Mon so expected me to basically pay an extra weeks storage and insurance when goods were not even in their possession!!).
MOVE IN
- On eventual move in to new property two personnel arrived in a 17tonne truck with one basically staying in truck and passing boxes down to other who he then expected to bring in to house. Realising this was going to take forever I basically became the third 'mover in' for the day.
- As furniture came in it was evident of severe damage to several pieces of furniture with dents and scuffs on others.
Our double bed was missing pieces and damaged (resulting in it being condemned beyond repair after further inspection by Clockwork); managed to put two puncture holes through base of display unit; taped up office furniture incorrectly without putting felt protection on first resulting in laminate covering being damaged when removing tape; dents on wooden coffee table and sideboard....
After discussion directly with Clockworks M.D. he agreed to replace my bed and basically sourced a frame (we had the mattress!) from Amazon as quickest way of getting us one, though this did take six days for delivery due to it being 'inconvenient' for them to take delivery over a weekend).
Even when bed was eventually delivered by Clockwork the two personnel sent were unfamiliar on assembling and gave up trying to follow written instructions after and hour and a half and had to call office for someone else to come out to help. The whole procedure of putting a simple frame together took them three hours in total and even after they left I had to go round and correct several bolts and re-tighten most.
In a bill that cost £2300 (£380 of this being their insurance costs) we have been offered £158 (less £50 excess) by insurers for damage to display unit and office drawers and Clockwork have valued the compensation for their lack of professional service/services paid for and damage to property at £150, which I have refused.
In 35 yrs of marriage we have used removers on five other occasions (including from other country) without any issues and very disappointed with Clockwork Removals and certainly would not use again, or recommend use to others.
I am by no means stating that all Clockwork personnel are bad but feel that moving personnel are possibly being put under undue stress by lack of correct internal procedures/management/training.

Team at Clockwork delivered a great service!

They arrived before 9am, were very organised and professional.

Lee and Dane were absolutely superb, nothing was too much trouble loading our stuff to go into storage( back in October) and then bringing it to our new house today, 4 hours (at least) away from our last house. Both worked really hard and always asked where the boxes and furniture needed to go, then took them there. If you are lucky enough to have this Sheffield team, make sure you give them refreshments...because they definitely deserve it. They are a credit to your company Clockwork.

Professional and friendly service throughout. The team worked with the utmost respect to our property during all stages, going above and beyond when there was problems in moving some of our larger pieces.
Nothing was a problem and what can sometimes become a stressful time was made so much easier by everyone involved ar Clockwork.
Had used AB Castle previously and nice to see that the excellent service has continued after the takeover

We recently moved offices from one large location to two smaller ones and Clockwork were a google find that really paid off.

The free quote happened quickly and they were very knowledgeable regards packing needs etc. The quote was incredibly competitive and when we moved premises (on two consecutive days) the team that moved us worked hard to get the move done as quickly as possible. Every member of the team that moved us were helpful, friendly and professional and nothing was damaged or lost.

The office team that also helped organise dates and handled all the admin were also friendly, approachable and accommodating.

I would very highly recommend them.

I've given Clockwork Removals 5 stars because of their professional approach to my packing and removal. The whole event was planned with precision and the utmost care and patience was taken with packing and moving my possessions.
Paolo, the project manager for my job, was outstanding for the way he organised and facilitated everything and his team worked like Trojans. Highly recommended.

We had never used movers before and we will never move without them now. Clockwork Perth are absolutely amazing. We couldn’t fault the whole experience and even when plans changed ect they worked with us to find solutions and change dates to meet our needs despite it meaning less work for them- they were the definition of customer first.
On the day itself the guys who came were so friendly and kind- they had our whole house packed up in 3 hours and helped us get everything in place at the other end with not a grumble and a few laughs along the way. I will be recommending them to everyone I know who is looking for movers.

Staff were on time and helpful and pleasant.......took the stress out of moving and had a good sense of humour too! Nothing was damaged as they were careful with my belongings.

From start to finish, the team have been amazing.

First dealing with Kelly & Dean at the office - they were both so friendly over the phone and could not do enough to help and guide me as this was the first time we’ve used a removal company. They made me feel relaxed and reassured I’d made the right decision on choosing Clockwork. Their customer service has been flawless.

On the day of the move, I was feeling anxious, as I imagine most people are when it comes to the big day. And I honestly thought I would get a couple of guys who just wanted to get the job done and not really pay much attention or care for our personal belongings which also made me feel nervous. However, as soon as Tony & Tom arrived, I knew from that moment that I would be in safe hands and I knew I wouldn’t have anything to worry about.

Tony & Tom were so personable, friendly and supportive in the move - it made us feel so happy and comfortable. They were incredibly efficient, and quick but also took so much care - it was effortless. Their communication was impeccable and I loved their personalities and sense of humour, it made the day feel really nice and fun.

They also went above and beyond as a couple of the items like the bed and wardrobes had some minor issues (slight break on the bed and a screw from the wardrobe missing) which they checked with me to make sure I was aware of it, but then went on to fix them when they built them back up in the new house! If that isn’t going above and beyond I don’t know what is. They didn’t have to do that - but they did, and that is what makes the difference and sets Clockwork apart.

I cannot recommend clockwork enough, they have an amazing team there and I will be absolutely telling everyone to use them for their moves!!!!!

From the initial survey onwards I felt they were efficient and competent, and that proved to be the case when it came to the move itself. A very friendly and energetic team of men, and they took good care especially of all the more fragile/delicate items - no breakages at all. A couple of tall Billy bookcases couldn't bend round a tight corner and had to be taken apart and reassembled, and though in theory I could have done it myself eventually, it wouldn't have happened for weeks, and the reassembly was done for me as a kindness that was much appreciated. (I am now 90.)

The team were amazing, friendly quick and efficient. Would highly recommend.

From initial contact everyone was helpful and friendly. They kept me well informed and were always pleasant when dealing with any queries or requests. On moving day the guys went out of their way to make the move less stressful by remaining upbeat and super efficient. All my furniture and belongings were handled with care and everything was delivered safely.
