YES I AGREE WITH ALL THE OTHER REVIEWS. THIS COMPANY IS HORRIBLE, SLOW, NASTY ATTITUDE CUSTOMER SERVICE, VERY INCOMPETENT, AND I COULD GO ON AND ON. THEY HAVE MADE ME MISS MY SCHOOL START DATE THAT IS NOW PUSHING ME 3 MONTHS OUT TO THE NEXT CLASS. WHEN MY ADMISSION COUNSELOR RETURN TO THE OFFICE I WILL BE REQUESTING A REFUND FOR THIS CHECK AND SEEKING ANOTHER SCHOOL. AT THIS POINT IF THEY ARE USING A SERVICE SUCH AS THIS IT CONCERNS ME OF THE LEVEL OF COMPETENCE AND INTEGRITY OF THE SCHOOL ALTOGETHER AT THIS POINT. UNLESS YOU HAVE 90 DAYS TO 6 MONTHS FOR A VERIFICATION PLEASE FOR YOUR OWN SANITY USE SOMEONE ELSE.

This is the WORST background check company ever. They are SLOW. They do not treat background checks as time-sensitive. They also have a low level of competence when it comes to verifying employment. I have sent multiple documents to verify my home-based cake business, and they keep requesting more.

Total incompetence. Felt like my integrity was being questioned the entire time. Spent hours trying to get them to understand incredibly basic things. Provided them multiple different angles of proof and verification and none satisfied them. Have no idea how they stay in business or why any company would trust their results.

Frustrating. Almost 2 weeks with excuses, additional documents requests, which were provided and unclear communication. Sounds like excuses. Even though the company itself may be US based, I think customer service is outsourced abroad.
This is the worst onboarding experience ever.

Their screening process needs to be evaluated. The recruiter already knew that I am overqualified for the role. However, she still asked me to proceed with the online test that is not suited to the position I am applying for.

I think they have to meet a quota on how many candidates they interviewed. Just a thinking out loud.

Truly hair pulling

Nothing in the portal works. First I had issues submitting international addresses, even though they have a global country dropdown list. Then the system is so strict about gaps, it doesn't consider you may have been traveling or AirBnB hopping and not had a 'permanent address' at any point within a 10-year time frame [same for employment history]. Now I've finally submitted and signed my background history and it's not even letting me progress to the next task or show my end as completed, even though the file says signed and read only. Can't wait to be through this nightmare.

I wish I could give no stars. This company is trash. I am trying to get a background check done. The candidate website does not work. I keep having to put in my address. I keep receiving an error message stating that I need 7 years. I have been at my address for 10 years. I received the same error message each time. I called IT to fix the issue and was told that they did not have anyone on the weekends to help my IT problem so I needed to call back Monday morning. I have been attempting to complete this stupid background check since Thursday. Its Saturday morning! This could delay my start date at my job. I cannot believe these people. They are useless and their portal is awful. Full of errors. Not to mention the lies on their reports. Claiming they cannot verify information. I have tax returns and W2s showing I worked at a facility and they will state that they couldn't verify the information. Anytime a job uses this company to do background checks I stress because I have had offers rescinded for their inadequacy and stupidity. I cannot believe reputable companies use them. If I have another rescinded offer because of this company, I am filing suit.

I'd give it zero stars if I could and there is not an ounce of competency. I keep getting shuffled around to get absolutely nothing resolved, and, It takes forever for them to get back to you just to get nothing resolved. I have wasted weeks with these people. Save yourself some trouble and go with another background screening company.

Spent over 3 weeks asking for information I have already uploaded and provided. Impossible to speak to anyone from the verification team. Website is possibly the worst website I have ever come across. Everything about the layout is confusing and illogical.

Absolutely disgusted by this ridiculous companies process. 4 different emails sent to them, no response from any then they send an email at 3 am and ask for "prompt assistance".

Terrible experience. Simple a mouthpiece for the company. This and similar companies are spreading misinformation that had no truly objective police officer present Asha harming drivers.

trying to get hired on with company in Ga. going back and forward with them about verifying education for my paramedic certification. I have been paramedic 25 yrs stat certified. ....also my race doesn't match my birthday???? why am I giving all this information to a foreign country.. I am so Pissed @#$%%

I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the services provided by Cisive. My experience aligns with numerous others who have encountered significant delays and inaccuracies during the verification process. Despite having provided verified information, the process was unnecessarily prolonged, causing considerable anxiety and stress.

Additionally, I believe the company’s advertising is misleading, as the service did not meet the standards of efficiency or accuracy that were promised. In contrast, companies like HireRight have demonstrated far superior service, offering timely updates and accurate results.

Given the impact this has had, I strongly urge employers to reconsider utilizing Cisive for background verification needs. Transparency, accuracy, and efficiency are critical, and unfortunately, Cisive has failed to meet these expectations.

I hope this feedback will be taken seriously, and I encourage Cisive to address these ongoing issues.

worst background check company i have ever come across. Got an offer letter from a fortune 500 company pending background check. cisive was the third party company in charge of my background check. cisive messed up big time. first they issued a report to the potential employer claiming my college degree was unverifiable. second the issued another report stating one of my past employment was unverifiable. long story short my offer was rescinded. my past employers responded to their queries and confirmed all my dates of employment(i have forwarded emails confirming this information). i disputed the report and after a month cisive issued an updated report to reflect the truth. it is late at this point. you guys are solely responsible for me not getting my dream job, what incompetence

Seriously, this is a miserable company to go thru. They have , not 1, not 2, but 3 accts under my name, bec, whenever I submit my info, I get the 100% completion form, then my hr person is like why haven't you completed cisive yet?
Sent screenshots every time of my 'congratulations you completed 100%!' Screen that comes up.
Spent lots of hours on the phone with these very aggressive agents who like to speak over you, and to reassure
me that " sometimes having 3 accts is
normal."
One of Seriously the most frustrating, circled I've had to run around.
And I'm a practitioner in the medical worlds, so that says a lot.

This is a terrible company!!!!! Been waiting on my background check for over 2 months. Every time I call I get different answers and told they do not have an ETA on my background check. The longer they take the longer I am out of a job. I ask to speak to a manager and I get told no, they don't respond to emails, and they have been extremely rude when I call and ask for updates.

Horrid harrassing company.

I was asked multiple times by multiple reps the same questions over and over about a previous employee. I answered them each time and still was asked over and over the same questions. They are trying to run off of automations and don't care a bit about who they harass. Trash company, they arent doing real checks, whoever hires them is wasting their money.

For anyone thinking about using this service.. DONT. This is an awful company that buys out smaller companies and fires everyone from the former. They overwork their employees and are slowly firing all of their American employees and replacing them with individuals from poor countries so that the company only has to pay them $4 an hour or some crap like that. Don't trust your background checks to be complete, thorough, or safe. The upper management and owners of this company are awful people and I feel bad for everyone that put years into the company trying to make it a good place and work environment that ended up just getting discarded from the company because they were viewed as expendable.

If I could give this less than a 1 I would. Worst platform I have ever interacted with.

Very bad service, It has been more than 20 days still they are not able to verify the university. I have reach out to them multiple times but didn't get any proper solution yet. Only stuck in loop
