Absolute disgrace. Housing association changed garden service company to this one this year, and yet they cannot be bothered to do their job, the grass is literally chest height.

One star is to much for this disgracefully company C@C my housing association have them for the grounds maintenance my god they cant tell difference from a blade of grass to a tulip and mowed over a lawn of Tulips and when questioned denying it was them and them said we'll they were all dead the Tulips were ready to flower for this Easter weekend just a vile disgusting company of thugs DON'T USE DONT EMPLOY THEM AT ALL COST

This company has lot to improve. This is from one of CCHA schemes last week trinity Court gas not been visited by chequers. They only clean the communal area and the stairs. They are supposed to clean the bin area but never done.There had been a lot of complaints from the residents of other schemes aswell. Please send them to get it cleaned .

Absolutely shocking company!!!

I manage a number of small private blocks of flats in Surrey and Chequers used to do the hallway cleaning at 2 of those blocks.

The cleaning has never been the best but in the past I could contact a cleaning manager or supervisor and they would attend to any issues.

That changed when they were bought out by the Churchill Group. Now no-one returns my calls and the contact names I was given have long since left the company.

To make matters worse, without any notification whatsoever, they simply stopped cleaning at one of the blocks of flats I manage and I wasn't aware of this until the residents complained that Chequers hadn't been around for 2 months!

When I eventually got through to Chequers on the phone I was told a letter had been sent to me, so I asked for a copy but I never received it because I don't for a moment believe that letter was ever sent.

I have now been trying for the past 3 months to get in touch with whoever it is I need to speak to at Chequers to discuss the cleaning contract at the remaining block they do cleaning at but, surprise surprise, when I have eventually got through to someone on the phone (and that is rare), it's never the right person.

I've been given different numbers to call, I've left voice messages and I've also been told someone will call me back but nothing has happened.

It seems they aren't interested in offering any sort of service whatsoever because they are employed to clean by some housing associations and large companies.

If you're ever tempted to use them, please don't. There are companies out there that offer much better service at a more competitive price.

Absolutely appalling. Paid to attend to our maintenance, turn up, sit in their vans smoking then leave without doing a thing. Total scammers. Avoid at all costs

We have had chequers do our communal gardens for a year now and I have to say a massive thankyou to Dean and Luke as they do a great job. We are lucky to always have them. Come rain or shine they are consistently positive, very hardworking, helpful, polite and an asset to the company.

I worked with them .they where good .when there was problem they got the job done great team

They have two young boys driving one of their vans and the offensive abuse that was being shouted out at a lady driver today was disgusting. Dangerous driving tailgating brake checking and calling someone all the names under the sun and good for her for giving the verbal back to them. They are a disgrace to you company. Employ children then expect childish and dangerous behaviour.

Unbelievably dangerous driving by one of your employees on the A13 at about 4pm this afternoon. Tailgating at speed and weaving in and out of traffic. Deserves to lose his licence. Perhaps don't do it in a branded work van....

I Have been complaining about this company and it s standard of work for over 3 years they are supposed to look after my estate owned by L and Q and they have slowly dragged it into despair . Whoever they are giving a back hander too must be laughing , the company are a absolute joke I spent my own money on making my part of the area look nice and they came along ( after 3 month of not bothering ) and spread horse manure all over the place you can imagine what started growing out of that . Dreadful work manship and never ever answer the phone ! Avoid

The service from this provider has been below par so far having recently changed provider 3/4 months ago the cleaning work carried out has been poor, sometimes attending and not even using a vacuum. Now they only attend every two weeks even though the company is being payed for a weekly service. In comparison our previous supplier were exceptional, these are just a money making scheme.

Awful grounds maintenance. Their work is a complete joke. Their staff are rude, ignorant bullies. They must lie to get grounds maintenance contracts as they are utterly useless!

Chequers were advised by southern housing Not to remove my sons hand made furniture.

24 hrs later they STOLE the lot.

Tried to communicate with them via phone call (CHRISTINE). Wow what a jem. As I expected UNHELPFUL, RUDE, CLEARLY DID NOT CARE. JUST A JOB TO SOME PEOPLE.

I HAVE BEEN LET DOWN NUMEROUS TIMES BY THIS COMPANY AS A MEMBER OF THE PUBLIC WHO HAS HAD THEIR PROPERTY DAMAGED BY AN EMPLOYEE OF THEIRS.

MY PHONE CALLS EMAILS & TEXT MESSAGES HAVE FALLEN ON DEATHS EAR IT SEEMS AS I HAVE NO IDEA WHEN I WILL BE REIMBURSED FUNDS THAT I LOST.

ALMOST 10 WEEKS AGO NOW!!

I was told by SANDRA that I was to get a phone call from their Insurance company which has not happened I have not received one phone call & I have clearly been lied to all this time by this company. Or who ever is representing this company. I have lost a total of around £1000 due to this incident taken place & I’ve lost 10 weeks of my time & incurred financial stress trying to replace funds that were not intended to be wasted on a situation like this.

Everyone knows about this situation at this company but not one is helping me solve the problem. As a member of the public who is just trying to go about their daily duties I have been a victim of the negligence this company willingly participates in. The grounds maintainable worker did not operate his tool with the correct guards or any protection type to other peoples property & carelessly carried out their duties without due care.

On the 19th June 2023 my car window was smashed by a grounds maintenance working named Dennis Reynolds on Christie drive while he was cutting Japanese knot weeds.

He admitted it was the trimmer had flicked a stone at the window. Also there was no other explanation for my drivers side window smashing whilst he was opposite controlling with grass trimmer.

Later that day I was called & I was instructed by a woman called Sandra to get my window fixed by national windscreens out of my own pocket & to forward relevant invoices to her.

My car was off the road for 3 days while I waited for the glass to arrive & also due to no safety of no drivers side window which I had to get a rental out of my own pocket so that I could go about my daily duties.

I have since still not been able to recover my lost funds from this company as a result of the damaged window.

Not one person has called me even after handing both invoices in person to the people at chequers tait road unit in Croydon.

The bill I paid for a new window is £531
The bill I paid for a rental vehicle is 362.70

money I simply do not have.

I am not letting this complaint go
as I have been inconvenienced to the highest amount.
The stress I have taken on since trying to sort this out & also trying to find money for my bills has been one of the most terrible experiences I’ve been through recently & I will never forget.

This incident left me in financial destitute for 2 months now as I’m unemployed & currently have a ongoing knee injury.

I am pleading once again with whom is concerned.
I have tried to make contact several times!

Can I have someone help with this complaint & unwanted situation I have been put in.

I need my funds reimbursed to me as soon as possible.

The people that work at chequers are well aware of this incident
