Bad experience in Butler's cafe today Dundrum centre.

I do voluntary work, have been for 15 years and Butlers have always donated something. I don't know any company that is so generous. I love their hot chocolate and the reception staff are wonderful in Coolock.

Chocolates tasted horrible and were too hard. Wrapping was pretentious and dysfunctional
Give us Thornton's any day.

I was given a box of luxury Butlers chocolates - they were greasy and mostly tasteless, some I threw away after one bite although I'm a chocoholic. The Latte was well-named - white chocolate with tasteless pale brown gue in the middle which I mistakenly thought might be coffee.

Branded as luxury and comes in nice packaging but the quality is truly awful and loaded with artificial ingredients like 'invert sugar syrup' so the chocolate tastes unnaturally sweet instead of tasting like chocolate.

Just opened a box of Butler, chocolate assortment and really enjoyed it. I’ll give it a 4.5 out of five easily very enjoyable

I regularly stop for a Butlers Coffee in the Kildare Outlet Village, the staff are very friendly and are a credit to Butlers. Coffee is always fantastic and the chocolate is a nice treat on the side. Highly recommend stopping for a coffee if you are passing.

8.80 euros for 2 white hot chocolate- that had no taste of chocolat but milk is outrageous. Inflation doesn't mean you have to take your customers for stupids. Same type of businesses that will complain once they will close. I will never (ever) come back.

The chocolates are really awful surprised they sell

I got the watermelon lemonade nothing like it looks it tastes sweet at the start but then just taste like water after 1 minute

Just having the worst Flat White in Butlers Chatham Street! Far too hot and very, very weak! I normally always have a coffee here when I’m in the city… but the lady who served me today clearly hasn’t been properly trained!!

Extremely poor and officious customer service in Clonshaugh café unit this morning. Ignorant staff service. Also, bought a €36 box of chocolates and no adequate size carry bags available. On top of this I was refused a sample chocolate - wow! I have been buying Butler's chocolates as gifts for many years, but will be sharing this experience with a wide range of contacts, and will make alternative gift choices in future.

I received your beautifully presented box of platinum collection chocolates for my 70th birthday. The box was magical and the chocolates obviously made with great care and taste. I recommend the platinum collection to anyone looking for a special present. Thank you!

I would normally buy Lily O'Brien"s chocolates lovely Irish chocolates but when I saw Butlers chocolates another Irish chocolate manufacturer I thought I would give them a try. I was NOT disappointed. The chocolate is smooth and delicious and bursting with flavours I will certainly buy them again

They obviously don’t care about the people who pay good money for their chocolates,they were disgusting and I felt they years old, their appearance too if you saw box open before buying would put you off!

I have been a customer of Butlers for as long as I can remember, but to go in today, and pay €4.30 for a coffee that just last week (?) cost me €3.80 like this is too much! Increase of .50 cents, come on!!!! thank you that's me done! Very disappointing to see such an increase in one go....I know each business owner right now is taking the most of the word inflation, however, I am happy to say that they are some places that seem to be able to avoid it, and so I will support these businesses! Very disappointing!

Received in UK via post the 16 milk choc box as a gift from son in Eire. This might sound odd but the chocs were too big, so too much of a hit at any one time.
Also tried the Hazelnut Caramel box from airport, nice but way too sweet.
Losing your touch Butlers.

I got these as a gift, curiosity took over and I googled the price. A £40 box of inedible chocolates. They were absolutely disgusting. One actually made me feel sick it tasted horrible. No idea why anyone anywhere would buy these. They were so bad I had to Google reviews to see if it was just a bad box. It seems no. They are hideous. I'd never ever ever eat another butlers chocolate. They are so bad. So so bad and the actual chocolate just tasted cheap. Yuk.

Tried these from the English Market and they were delicious! The packaging was superb and therefore they would make an excellent gift. I will buy again.
