Build.com is high on my go-to house remodeling source. From door hooks to cabinet handles, wall scones to bathroom vanities, build.com has the best prices and inventory.
Remodeling during/after Covid would test anyone’s patience. But build.com has been helpful and professional throughout.
Returns are quick and easy.

I've ordered 3 interior doors back in March. 2 doors arrived wrong size and style. After a call with customer services, I was supposed to ship the incorrect doors back within 30 days otherwise they would charge me for it - which I did and I kept a tracking company's confirmation of collection. My original order arrived with one door being heavily damaged. Waited another 3 weeks for replacement. Around end of April I've received email from them asking if I returned the incorrect doors - I've emailed back the confirmation and to contact their tracking company. In June I was charged $700 for the incorrect doors which I immediately disputed. After several calls and emails Build.com confirming they have the doors and refund will be given, it took over a month my credit card company actually fighting for me to get the refund. NEVER AGAIN !!!!!

Build.com was only average helping to order items, or at least my representative Ian, but once I ordered and paid for the items I decided on, he ghosted me. He never applied my discount and wouldn't return my calls or emails. Other representatives weren't any more helpful, just kept getting me to waist more of my time.
Terrible customer service and return policy
I ordered everything for a complete remodel of two baths and a kitchen through Build.com. I knew they were expensive but figured this is a one and done and bought the best. Today my kitchen faucet broke and was spraying water throughout the kitchen. I got online with them and they basically told me too bad so sad, here's the manufacturer's number and you can call them Tuesday. (it is Saturday, 7/2/2022). Clearly refused to help for an expensive faucet purchased six months ago. Never again.
Not a great return policy
Ordered a shower set up by the time my contractor was able to install due to hurricane ida he couldnt use some of the parts and it was about 2 weeks over the 180 days I didn't want my money back but at least a store credit but build.com would not work with me with the return .

Charged credit card for backordered item
Ordered a door handle and an electronic deadbolt from a subsidiary, handlesets.com in December. The door handle was delivered but they kept saying the dead bolt was back ordered. It was actually discontinued by the manufacturer. My credit card was charged for both items rather than only the item that was shipped.
Horrible Horrible Customer Service
The sales person Terrence Jordan did not follow through with the additional hardware needed for my purchase. After eleven days of waiting, his excuse was that he had been on vacation for a week. DUH. Keep me waiting for additional product while he takes a vacation. Further, when I complained to management, not only did they not follow through with the needed hardware, they defended Terence's behaviour. Interestingly enough, my call to the vendor of the hardware resulted in the vendor saying all they needed was Terence to call for the hardware and they would send it out. BEWARE Sales persons cannot be trusted.

Excellent customer service. I can see from others, they did not have a great experience, but for the several times I have dealt with them, it has been excellent.
Build does not stand behind their product/service
Ordered a 72 in vanity with mirror. First shipment was lost. Second one arrived damaged on the inside. Reached out to customer service. Just asked for touch up paint. They now say they will provide a $250 credit to pay for the paint OR I can recrate the unit and return it for a refund. I'm 72. It weights 750lbs. So I'd have to pay to return it. I could not possibly be more disappointed in this whole process. Customer service, shipping, product, vendor. All of it. Don't buy from them. They don't stand behind their product. Customer service person was horrible. Kept changing her mind as to what she could do.

Ordered shower door delayed shipment 2 times. Tried to cancel the order they told me I had to wait for it to ship and then I could return it for a full refund. I had to dispute with credit card company. Do not do business with them.

Excellent service and communication from build.com. I ordered a complete shower kit - Sterling 72170120. Ordered via Walmart Jan 5th and it arrived with free shipping Jan 11th. Small crack that likely resulted from shipping and they handled expertly. Quality product and I'm very happy with build.com

I ordered a 600 dollar barn door shower door,we came home and the box was sitting on our carport, I have never seen a more regged looking box in my life,there eas no cushion between the doors,and I'm getting ready to see if they are damaged
Ended up being a decent experience
UPDATE: Working with their support team I have received a refund for the broken appliance. Raised the star rating from 1 -> 4 stars because even though the experience wasn't great, their support team made it right.

Purchased a high-end washer + dryer for $4500.
First, they forgot to ship the washer for 3 weeks. So I have the dryer, and email them about the status of the washer. At first they claim has been shipped but after a few emails they find the washer in the warehouse and send it out. When it arrives we go to install it and discover that the dryer that arrived a few weeks ago is damaged and doesn't work... but they told me to F-off because it's outside the 48 hour window.
Of course I didn't set it up immediately because I only had 1 of the items.
Ugh terrible policies, terrible customer service, terrible company. Good to know I guess for next time, wish I would have found these reviews earlier.
Poor customer service!
We ordered over $7000 (14 items) in products from build.com for a kitchen remodel. Everything came in good working order except the $2000 range hood which had an unsightly crease in the front right hand corner. They would not replace the range hood because it was not reported within 48 hours even though there was no damage to the box and we wanted to keep it protected in the box until our contractor needed it. They offered me $400 as an inconvenience fee for a range hood I cannot use and the vent parts cost another $1500 which go specifically with the range hood. I will NEVER order from build.com or Ferguson again! Poor customer service!!
Seriously this company is a joke
Seriously this company is a joke. I was hung up on and two out of three customer service reps where terrible. Waste of my time, money and effort! It said that it would ship in 8 days. They Back ordered it and said it would be 45 days after I ordered it on black Friday. So we cancelled as they were no help getting us to another product with similar costs. This needs to come out of their pocket. Not mine. Ended up having a disagreement so I called back asked to replace my cancelled order. They couldn't help in any way, not even offering a good deal on Anything. Just trying to resell me the product at full price. WOW
fast and perfect transaction
I ordered 3 replacement Graff wall faucets from build.com. I was actually really hesitant to order them based on all of the negative reviews here, but the other website with a reasonable prices had just as bad reviews, too. I took a gamble and bought at build.com. The 3 faucets arrived faster than expected, and it was over Thanksgiving break 2021 when everyone was having supply chain problems. The faucets arrived in perfect condition and i couldn't be happier with this transaction. Apparently, they do get it right sometimes at least.
Good plumbing equitment!
I bought all my plumbing equipment here for my full full kitchen remodel. Overall, great experience.. very knowledgable staff and great prices! They're good for the small accessories but not the best for large appliances overall - better to search for thor package on google and get it from one of the smaller dealers - they have better pricing.
