Did an online click and collect order on 22nd and website said order today and collect tomorrow. Needed items for Xmas. Went to store 5pm 23rd = no order. Could take a week!!!! FALSE ADVERTISING. And no communication advising delay. Very poor service.

Would have been a zero if it was an option

I had a terrible experience at Briscoe. No customer rights policy and staff really rude. I got a birthday gift bought at Briscoes that I wanted to change. No staff was gentle or attentive to help me with the information of the price. After a lot persistence, I got the price. When I was at the cashier to change it, I was very rudely told that I could change that because I didn’t have the receipt. I explained that that was a gift and the staff told me that was nothing she could do. That I would have to keep that gift. This goes against all customer rights laws. Briscoes doesn’t work on good terms and is not trustworthy.

I ordered a large number of plates, dessert plates, platter and serving dishes on line to be delivered.
These came in 8 separate boxes from different stores.
All items arrived very well packed and no breakages.
They took a few days to arrive but that did not concern me.
Thank you Briscoes. Well done😀

Did a click & collect store showed stock.
It showed available next day.
When arrived in store item was not there.
And now it shoes on my account as collected.
They advertising goods that are not there.
Happy to take your money.
Website shows available tomorrow
False and misleading.
Be warned do not do click and collect.
They take your money but do not have goods.
This does not deserve a star.
Could not even put a comment on their Facebook site.

Ordered online on 28 October and still waiting for the delivery on 14 November. I advise everybody to NOT buy online with this company as their courier service Team Global Express are horrible.

Don't, I mean don't by online from Briscoes
Their stock levels mean the goods could come from a store in the other island.
The confirmation won't proceed until it's picked then packed say 2 days then it is transported on a snails back by the slowest courier company Aramex which is 2 days between islands
If your want you want to wait 8 or 9 days order or try elsewhere

I’ve been to my local Panmure Briscoes numerous times in my lifetime. Sadly, I could not recall one positive experience. There is never any staff around the store to assist customers.

I waited 15 minutes in the queue on a quiet day just to ask if there was an unopened box of a product that the website said was in stock. After finally being served, I waited another 15 minutes for them to ‘check’ if they had it at the back. To my dismay, I got a blunt response saying they didn’t have it.

Does this store not understand that some customers have other places to be and simply can’t afford to spend valuable time just to be let down?
I’m really disappointed at this store and their unhelpful staff.

I buy online at the dunedin store as there is ALWAYS long queues. Went to pick up order today, first they couldn't find it, the woman was missing for ages, I confirmed I had received the text and email saying it was ready.. off she goes again. All while I'm getting glared at by the long queue of people waiting. Sort it out Dunedin Briscoes, Not the first time being mucked around when trying to pick up

POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

went into the store to buy couch covers, waited in front of the line for a good 20 minutes then when it was time for my turn, the lady had to pick up a call which lasted 10 minutes hung up and then walked off somewhere leaving me waiting at the checkout for 20 minutes. Just got over it and left my stuff at the checkout & walked out bet if I walked out without paying they would pay more attention POOR POOR POOR customer service!!

I have bought many sale items (along with regular priced items from Briscoes Rangiora. I always find the staff there very helpful and friendly.
I noticed some reviews are for an actual item, these reviews should probably be on the reviews for the product, not the retailer.

Three online purchases
Each one, extremely poor quality.
Hair straightener where the plates don't touch, complained, was ignored
(emailed about how a birthday coupon I received in an email didn't work, received a copy and paste reply that didn't answer anything at all)
Cuddledown comforter, the stitching was pulled apart all along the edges as soon as it came out of the packaging
The last straw for me was buying a massage gun for $50 when they clearly got their stock from temu for $15, I compared my gun to the ones on temu and they are identical, even the packaging is identical. It even had the identical stickers on the product that you get on your temu products.
Tried to return it, plus several other items.
Horrendous customer service when asking about how to return items when the packaging slips were missing and the slips I did receive were incorrect , a series of copy and paste messages, they never actually get a human to reply, if you write to them on Facebook, they are given the same instructions of "copy and paste answers from frequently asked questions"
Let's see if I get my money back, I have received an email about ONE item being refunded but absolutely nothing about the other items in the same package and have yet to receive the refund from even the one item they acknowledge, I will never shop with Briscoes again
I have had absolutely no positive experiences.

Jumped on line to buy a Dyson, which was available same day click and collect at a number of local stores.

Only it wasn't - I then get a message saying due to unforeseen reason they can't supply - happy to take my money and now expect me to wait for weeks.

Will be seeking a refund - what a waste of time.

Briscoes do better - stop advertising stock you don't have

If i could give a half star i would. I went on the website to look for towels and found these towel bundles. The description said a set of 1 bath towel 1 bathmat 1 handtowel and a flannel. They were having a sale and $19 was written beside them so i reasonably concluded that was the price.so i ordered 3 sets. When they arrived there were 3 single towels. When i phoned briscoes was treated like an idiot by some lame girl. So angry, i'm sending all of it back. Don't know if I will shop briscoes again. They are not the only homeware retailers.

I ordered towels, that were showing in stock. I waited with anticipation for those towels, the rest of my order was dispatched, then I received an e-mail with a refund notice. Those towels they had, they weren't in the whole of NZ, then why have them as in stock on the site? Online orders shouldn't take days to process, as soon as it is ordered, should be taken off the shelf. They use the worse shipping company, too, don't get me started....

I have brought a lot of things from Briscoes recently for my new home...but never again.
I brought a Dyson online along with another item. Received the other item but not the Dyson. I had to follow up with Briscoes instead of them contacting me. It turns out they advertise items they don't have in stock.
They refunded me for the Dyson but no one bothered to contact me directly to tell me what was going on. Fairly certain there are laws against advertising and selling products that they don't actually have? Customer Service for online purchases is very pretty poor. Won't shop there again.

Excellent communication, when my order arrived all the items were extremely well packed individually then wrapped in a generous amount of bubble wrap and and gaps in the box, top and bottom, had lots of packaging paper. Not a single breakage in 16 pieces of crockery!!

Have made several online orders over the last few months and ALL of them have been delayed by Aramex. Why does it take almost 2 weeks for orders to arrive? By continuing to use the worst courier company in NZ, Briscoes make themselves look really bad.

Went in Briscoes Hamilton City NZ they are so incompetent instead of checking the price of their good when on sale they don't ,dnt think I'll be shopping their again.
