I’m a little perplexed by these bad reviews because the service I received was top shelf! Rob was brilliant.
This was 2018 and I know a lot can change in 6 years. I placed an order for a 2017 Mondraker Summum Carbon pro which was displaying as in stock on their website however not 10 minutes after placing the order Rob gives me a call. “Joe I’m really sorry but the bike you’ve ordered is out of stock and is it’s last years model year it won’t be coming back in so what I suggest is, how would you feel if we sent you a 2018 Summum carbon pro and I’ll stand the price for you”
They always got back to me in a reasonable time frame even if there was no update. A year and a half later I needed an invoice to show to my Home insurers for the contents cover.
5 out of 5 in my experience but hey, things can change

I am having to take Robert to the small claims court as he took £4,000 of me for a Nukeproof Giga, which he did not supply, lots of excuses about supply chains. Turns out he no longer has a commercial relationship with Nukeproof and could never have supplied the bike. A complete rogue trader, avoid at all costs!

Atrocious! Paid a deposit of £300 in feb 22 and still trying to get it back as no bike has appeared. No communication whatsoever.
We’re now going to take it to small claims court. Avoid at all costs!

I picked out a helmet for my girlfriend to buy me for Christmas, it did not arrive in time and the owner would not extend the courtesy of a response to any emails/messages before or after the Christmas break. In the end, we had to open a case with Paypal to get a refund processed. It’s a shame to leave a bad review for a small bike shop, but you need to treat your customers with more respect.

I ordered a frame off Bikeactive/Rob early/mid last year and placed a £300 deposit to secure it. Rob said he couldn't give me a definite date of arrival which was fine given the supply issues at the time.

I'd occasionally call him to get updates (He's a bit crap at following up and doesn't replied to emails). He would always say I'll call the distributor to get an update or they are actually coming in this week so I'll ask them about your frame.

So after waiting almost a year and a half for a frame he agreed to refund my deposit. I waited 2 months and got no replies to calls or emails. He now doesn't answer his phone, you just get a message saying appointments only if you want to go into his store. So with no way of contacting him I had to get my Credit Card company to issue me a refund.

I'm not sure why he would rip off a customer who spent almost £6K on two frames with him already. Looking at his latest Google reviews it's looks as though he's taking customers deposits and then not refunding them if can't get the product. I'm surprised he's still in business with the way he's currently operating.

Definitely wouldn't recommend Bikeactive to anyone.

Do not go near this business!!! I ordered a frame in early January on basis it would take around 2 weeks. I chased for updates and was fobbed off time after time. 8 weeks later I cancelled the order after speaking to manufacturers who said he had never placed the order with them. He wouldn’t refund the deposit so I recovered it through VISA. It wouldn’t be so bad but this was the 5th frame I’d ordered from him!! Give them a very wide berth and spend your hard earned money elsewhere!!

Don't buy anything from this company. I bought a Nukeproof Scout bike online, as it was the only one available at that time. Firstly they sent it to the wrong address and I had to arrange a collection to take it to home. Then the bike had noises and I called them to have a solution.
Initially Rob (the owner) said that they will reimburse the cost of repairs that I will have pay at my local workshop.
After repairs and sent the invoice I had to ask more than 5 times for my money back. He always has an excuse and says he will do when he is back to his office.
After more than 4 months, I have not received any refund that he promised.
I should have checked their Google reviews as this is full of bad experiences from clients.

Recently placed an order for a hard to find bike (sold out everywhere) and used Bikeactive's 10% discount code. I rang the next day to make sure the bike was in stock as all seemed to good to be true. Not only was it in stock but I was given a number of handy set up tips as well. The bike arrived a few days later and I couldn't be happier. Highly recommend and thank the Bikeactive crew and hope to shop with you again in the future. Cheers guys.
