Good selection of cars and turnaround - however , the sales staff at Rotherham/Sheffield are extremely pushy - there are no prices anywhere for the add on services like alloy or paint cover - they pluck figures from thin air - clearly upsells are a big factor in their pay packet and they are relentless - like a rabid dog with a bone . We felt held hostage and couldn’t wait to get out of there …

Do not under any circumstances use this awful company.
My son had saved up his hard earned cash to buy the car of his dreams so he found this one at Big Motoring World in Sheffield 85 miles away, but he was excited to book a viewing and travel to see it.
When we got there we were met with a sales man who did not make us feel valued as a customer at all.
He seemed to just read off a script the things he was supposed to say.
When we were shown the car, it wasn't even cleaned!!!
It had scuff marks on the alloys, on the body and a huge scrape under the front bumper.
We asked if these could be rectified as he was looking to spend over £24,000 on this car. They wouldn't do anything to the car.
Reluctantly he purchased the car as they are rare, they wouldn't give an inch with the price for the damage.
He asked if the car could at least be washed before he purchased it.
It was taken to be washed, when we finally had the keys and were walked to the car, we noticed the alloy had been chemically burned during the wash. This damage was not there before.
After 5 hours of pulling teeth, we were livid.
We asked them to reimburse him the price to get the wheel refurbished at home. They wouldn't give an inch again. They offered to give him a full refund and walk away carless or bring it back to have them do the wheel, 190 mile round trip!!
We fought for a solution and in the end they called the manager over who very reluctantly after a lot of cross words offered him £100 as a good will gesture.
We felt so undervalued and walked away so deflated and extremely irritated.
Never again would I set foot in that place.
A week later we were back in Sheffield to view a car for my partner at CarGurus, WOW, what a difference. They made us feel very valued as customers and couldn't have been more friendly and helpful.
We walked away from there with huge smiles on our faces with a lovely new car.

Bought a Mazda CX-5 from them. I had a minor issue, but was very easy to report and they reimbursed £100 for the diagnosis without any fuss.
Waiting time is something they’ve to improve on. I went for my viewing and test driving appointment and had to wait for about 2.5hours. The same repeated when I went to collect the car as well. It’s also difficult to get back to them through their customer care. They don’t accept credit card neither do they negotiate the price.
Overall, it was a positive experience

Don’t do it…
Don’t do it…. Avoid at all costs. Still haven’t got a £500 refund and sold a faulty car. Original car we was buying had a recall on it but failed to tell us that and made us travel all that way down. Abysmal aftercare.

Poor after sales service.
Service seemed ok until they have your money and released the vehicle, after sales was very poor, they had told me that they would be providing a second key which was to be mailed to me however after a few weeks it had not arrived and they now deny this was ever the case, they made an error I assume and then deny any responsibility.

Poor customer service
I purchased my new car on Saturday, as we arrived home it came up with a fault “front radar blocked” as we have looked at the radar we can see that there is a large crack on the front bumper where the radar is. I spoke to the manager Matthew Broadhead at Sheffield he was no help at all. I have logged a complaint and still waiting for a call back from head office, all the while my car is sat on the driveway and I’m scared to use it because the radar system is a big safety element of the car. I also don’t want it to be used against me if I use the car. Not happy with my experience at all.

Terrible experience
Terrible experience, took absolutely forever initially because the sales assistant wanted to sell me add ons. Then took forever to take us on a test drive, extremely pushy ! "This is the car you want isn't it?" Well it was until you couldn't answer any questions about the car ! Wanted to to part x my car and they offered eventually (took forever again!) A paltry figure (an insult tbh). I stood and simply said "ok we are done because you are are basically just wasting my time and your time!" Then went to see the Manager who simply said said "Well what were you expecting? & shrugged his shoulders.
I would not recommend this outfit to buy a car from, I was offered £3,000 pound more part x for my car elsewhere and found it a pleasurable experience. Totally the opposite to big motoring world in Sheffield , extremely poor service and one i will not repeat.

Poor experience…
I reserved a vehicle at Big Motoring World Sheffield and went in for a test drive. The car itself drove well and I was genuinely interested in buying it.
Unfortunately, from the moment we started discussing the purchase, the experience went downhill. The sales process felt incredibly pushy, with constant attempts to sell warranties and other extras. My part exchange valuation was also far below what I considered reasonable, and instead of discussing the price of the car, the conversation seemed to revolve around trying to justify the cost by adding a warranty.
To make matters worse, when I asked about collecting the car, I was told they wouldn't hold it for a week and that I had to collect within 72 hours. That simply wasn't possible due to prior commitments. They reluctantly agreed to extend it by one day, but the whole process felt unnecessarily pressured.
By this point I was getting frustrated, so I decided to sleep on it and told the salesperson I'd call the following morning. I rang as promised, confirmed I wanted to go ahead with the purchase, and arranged for someone to call me back that afternoon to complete everything. That call never came.
In the end I decided to walk away from the deal altogether. Looking back, it probably did me a favour. Since then I've read many other reviews describing similar experiences, and I'm glad I trusted my instincts.
The car may have been good, but the customer service and buying experience were enough to make me take my business elsewhere.

My partner recently bought a car from Motoring World, and we had a fantastic experience from start to finish. Our salesperson, David, was incredibly helpful, professional, and friendly. He had a great sense of humour, which made us feel relaxed and comfortable throughout the whole process.

Awful set up
Awful set up. Dreadful handling from start to finish. Bully Boy up selling process left us cold. Passed from pillar to post, one cog in the process to the other. The personnel here totally spoil the purchasing of a car for you. The music is lousy on site too!! Visit Car Supermarket instead.

Absolutely appalling experience!!!
My son was looking to spend over £24,000 on his new car, the service we received was absolutely appalling.
They clearly don't give a damn about the customer or whether they sell the car or not.
His whole experience was terrible.
An appointment was made to view the car, we travelled over 80 miles to view it and it wasn't even cleaned!!!!
He ended walking away with the car he wanted but totally screwed over and mistreated.
NEVER AGAIN!!!

Appalling customer service
My 17 year old son went to purchase his first car. He paid a £500 deposit to purchase a £14k Peugeot 208. There was pressure for him to take the car the same day however we agreed to collect the car 3 days later. The sales man made it like he was doing us a big favour with this. When we returned we noticed the paintwork was pealing off. The company had no interest in resolving the issue. Initially saying it was just a chip, then it was a common problem. We asked them to get the panel resprayed and they just said no. We asked for our deposit back. They said up to 10 days to return the money. This is just a straight forward rip off, keeping a 17 year olds money and little to no interest in doing anything to help. I would never buy a car from this company. The lack of customer service is unbelievable
