We had such a wonderful experience with the Heritage Place Sales Team at Bargate Homes from start to finish. From the moment we viewed one of their show homes last year, we could immediately see the difference in build quality. Their homes have generous space, taller ceilings, and beautiful kerb appeal. It truly stood out from any other newbuilds we had seen. When we came back for a second viewing for a different house type, it felt like an easy and confident decision to reserve the property on the spot. So we did reserved the property type we viewed on the day. We simply couldn’t let it go…

The sales team were absolutely fantastic throughout the entire process. Shoutout to Tony, Jonathan, Seth, Joel, Matthew, and Nina you guys were all incredible. Every interaction was met with warmth, professionalism, and care. These guys were always approachable, accommodating, and quick to communicate, which made such a difference during what can often be a stressful time.

Although the conveyancing process was the most painful part of our home buying journey due to our experience with our initial solicitors from Gardner Champion Firm who were slow, lazy and incompetent (sorry I have to mention these words) Bargate were exceptionally patient and supportive throughout. They guided us in finding an alternative solicitor when we made the decision to change, and that sped up the conveyancing process and made us complete in 2 weeks!

Thanks to the dedication and efficiency of the Bargate team and their recommended solicitors, our move was back on track and completed much more smoothly than we had hoped. We are truly grateful for all your help and couldn’t be happier with our new home!

This itinerary has been more than a year in the making with my very first visit sometime in January/Feb 2025.
I had the pleasure of meeting Jonathan who took me through everything Bargate with regards to the builds at Heritage Place. I had the opportunity to visit the site and also the available show homes.

Fast-forward to July/August 2025 i made another visit with Victoria in attendance where upon i decided to go ahead. Subsequent dealings carried on with Jonathan yet again, who has proved knowledgeable, kind and staright to the point.

It's really been a subtle and well timed journey with a large team/family at Bargate that have been absolutely nothing but supportive along the way. I understand it's their job. Nevertheless, i think people should be commended when things are done rightly with respect and gratitude; and of course not let off when things aren't right, but still in a kind manner.
So, Jonathan THANKS for being a champ.

The weekly updates are commendable. Even when the update photos seemed monotonous and nothing new per se, it still came through and i just looked forward to it.
While Jonathan was away it seemed to slip up a bit, but then to the rescue were Tony, Joel, Seth and Charlie who juggled it so nicely to keep me updated.
Tony was phenomenal in accommodating me when i turned up for an appointment on the wrong date, lol!!

It's really cool that Bargate has a place away from all the building construction where one could settle in and look at various options available for the interiors and modifications.

Is it all perfect...definitely not, but all these amazing people - Jonathan, Tamsin, Nina, Tony, Charlie, Seth and Joel - definitely deserve a 5 star.

Are there snags, of course there are. I have had a private check done on the building. Yet, as with all things done with the human hand and mind, there will be imperfections. How much and how well we can get through it will depend on Bargate as a building company and i'm definitely looking forward to the same goodwill i have enjoyed with these lovely people aforementioned.

Thinking of buying with Bargate? Give it a go, you can't exactly go wrong. Just be certain of what you want and if they can meet it, you're in luck.

As a first-time buyer, I was naturally quite anxious about the whole process, but Bargate made the experience incredibly smooth from start to finish. If you’re considering buying a house, they’re honestly the only name that comes to mind—they really do take care of you.

From the very beginning, when I went to view their properties, I met Jonathan, the Development Manager. He was calm, friendly, and highly professional, and always patient with my many calls and questions, which I really appreciated.

Later on, I worked with Tamsin during the selection process, and Nina for the home demonstration—both were fantastic and made everything clear and straightforward. I also had the chance to speak with Margaret and Tony, and they were just as helpful and supportive.

Overall, the entire team was amazing throughout the journey. I’m truly grateful to Bargate for helping make my dream of owning a home come true.

Great standard of properties and most of the stuff you want included in the price!

Our experience with the reservation process with Bargate was excellent. The staff were friendly, transparent, and supportive throughout especially Joel, Tony, Charlie, Jonathan and Alison They explained everything clearly, which made the entire process simple and reassuring.

We’ve had a great experience with Bargate so far during the reservation process for our new home. Seth, Maddie, and Jonathan have all been incredibly helpful, friendly, and quick to answer any questions we’ve had along the way. The whole process has been clear and straightforward, and we’ve felt well supported throughout. Thanks again to Seth, Maddie, and Jonathan for making the start of the journey such a smooth and positive experience.

The first time I looked round the show homes at Heritage Place I was extremely impressed with the quality of the house build and also the stunning location. The Bargate team - Jonathan, Seth, Charlie and Joel - have always been very helpful and friendly, listening to my requirements for a house and how this matches what is available. I have been back multiple times while I've been waiting for my property to sell and each time I continue to be equally impressed. Hoping the right house will be available at the right time so I'll be able to purchase one of these high standard homes from Bargate. Would highly recommend.

Currently in the process of buying our home at Heritage Place. We would like to commend the excellent customer service we have received so far from Jonathan, Charlie, Tony, and Joel. They have been very accommodating, prompt to respond with any queries, and overall have been really supportive to us as first time buyers. We have also viewed quite a number of new build houses and developments (and currently renting a new build by Bargate also), and we can honestly say that the quality of the build is far superior than others. We notice there's much more attention to details, house layouts are sensible, and they really make an effort to make the overall look of the development a pleasing one. Really happy with our experience so far.

If you’re looking at a new build - look at bargate first

Ever since the first viewing we've been impressed with the service we've received. Specifically, Joel, Jonathan and Charlie were well informed, cheerful and not at all pushy about the property we viewed. Since having our offer accepted, the service has continued to be excellent. Tony explained the details of the property extremely clearly and the whole team have made us feel incredibly reassured for the rest of the buying process.

My wife and I attended the launch weekend at the Bargate Homes Development in Shepherds Green. We were delighted with the courtesy and professionalism shown to us throughout our visit and special mention needs to go to Victoria for the Ambassadorial approach she demonstrated making our visit one that was both delightful, and very well informed.

I’m currently in the process of purchasing a property with Bargate Homes and have been very happy with the service so far. The whole team — Tony, Seth, Joel and Charlie — have been great, with Seth being our main point of contact he has been particularly helpful. Questions have been answered quickly and everything has felt well organised and professional. It’s been a very positive experience to date and I’m feeling confident about my purchase. Highly recommended.

Avoid Bargate Homes at All Costs!

I deeply regret choosing Bargate for my home purchase. Not only have I experienced a host of unbearable issues, but the customer service has also been nothing but dismissive and unprofessional.

First of all, upon handover, I discovered that the loft had absolutely zero insulation. This shocking negligence led to exorbitantly high energy bills, only for the issue to be uncovered during our mortgage survey by the bank! It’s unacceptable that a “reputable” home builder would be so careless about something as basic as insulation.

Secondly, the privacy in the garden is completely compromised. The houses outside the fence were built at an elevated level, which means we are constantly exposed. Upon complaining, Bargate’s solution was laughable—they put a trail and simply closed it. This issue remains unresolved, and my family’s privacy is still severely disrupted.

Thirdly, before I paid the token advance, I specifically asked if nearby houses outside the fence were going to remain at a distance, as I wanted privacy. I was reassured that the neighboring houses would not be built too close. However, when construction began, I saw how close these homes were to mine. When I raised this concern, their response was disgraceful, claiming that the brochure was just a "representation" and that the houses were being built as per the official plan. Completely misleading and unethical behavior!

Lastly, they outright lied about trees in our cul-de-sac. Before purchasing, Bargate assured us that the trees in front of our homes would NOT be removed. But, without notice, they were carelessly chopped down, ruining the privacy we were promised. When two of us homeowners voiced our concerns, their so-called customer manager was blatantly rude and completely unprofessional. This person is absolutely unfit for their role.

Overall, this has been a horrible and extremely stressful experience. If you're considering buying a home from Bargate, DON'T. I wouldn’t wish this experience on my worst enemy. Their incompetence, deceitful practices, and dismissive attitude towards customer concerns are reasons enough to steer clear.

This is the first time I am purchasing a house in the UK. Needless to say I have endless questions, uncertainties etc.

The small bespoke team at Bargate Homes (Heritage Place) is extremely patient and professional in all the support provided.

I am really pleased that I bought my house from this company. I cannot thank them enough for the support and help given by everyone, from the sales staff right through to completion and after sales care. Everyone has proved to be friendly, caring and helpful, responding to queries quickly and efficiently. The quality and finish of the build and attention to detail is plain to see and my house felt like home as soon as I moved in.

We recently bought a new build home with Bargate Homes and had a great experience overall. The house is modern, well finished, and clearly built to a high standard. The sales team were brilliant throughout the process, especially Maddie, Zoe, Tony, and Charlie, who were all friendly, approachable, and always happy to help with any questions we had. Communication was clear and the whole process felt smooth and well managed.
I would also like to mention the help and guidance that we received from Nina at Head Office, she really helped us with all our choices and was very helpful on completion day aswell. From the very beginning, my wife, children, and I were warmly welcomed and guided through the entire process, right up to reservation and beyond. We’ve had a really positive experience with Bargate and their new build development Shepherd’s Green in Hordle, Lymington.
The service throughout the process was excellent, especially our dealings with Jonathan, he and the team were friendly, responsive, and helpful from start to finish.
