I've used Bandlab and their Desktop daw, Cakewalk, for several years. By far the best free offering and rates up there with some mid tier paid offerings like StudioOne and Fl Studio. Not to the level... Se mer

Used to be a solid app, but corporate greed ruins everything. Effects that were free for years are now locked behind a paywall. The free version is literally not worth downloading. Such a shame too because it was a really good app.
Do not distribute music with these clowns 🤡
I want to share a quick experience with fellow independent artists.
After distributing a track through BandLab, I ran into an issue where my music was removed due to alleged artificial activity. Unfortunately, there wasn’t much clarity or detailed proof provided, which made the situation frustrating to navigate.
Thankfully, I had my release backed up through DistroKid, which helped me avoid losing the track completely.
My advice to other artists:
• Always keep backups of your music with another distributor
• Make sure all promotion is 100% organic
• Be prepared for limited transparency when issues arise
This isn’t to discourage anyone, but to encourage artists to protect their work and stay informed when choosing distribution platforms.

BandLab works great for me
BandLab works great for me. It’s intuitive and offers all the functions I need, even in the free version.
At the beginning, I had a few questions, and I was genuinely impressed that the company responded—even over the weekend. It was clearly a real person, not a bot, and the reply was both helpful and thoughtful.
I record my guitar through a sound card directly onto my phone, and it’s very easy to transfer the recordings to my laptop for mixing. When I need guidance, I also use ChatGPT, which makes the whole workflow even smoother.
I searched my site from another phone
I searched my site from another phone, and the have a blank picture with 3 followers SCAM! AVOiD this Site!!!My site worked for 2000 followers and I wonder about low emails…. Paid for a year NEVER AGAIN

Gave me a refund for a subscription I didnt want renewed because this DAWS is absolute garbage, and they decided to charge me again after getting the refund. So on top of being a garbage daw, its run by a bunch of scammers too.
Pure corporate greed
Pure corporate greed.
Pushing out thousands of samples and sounds free to use for years, and then gradually and silently pushing out a paywall to samples that was all once free, with absolute no notice or announcement.. This is beyond disappointing and frustrating. I get it, to fund all of your "cool" features you need more revenue, but not saying anything and aggressively pushing subscriptions down peoples throats and expecting us to pay up is a horrible horrible marketing strategy... Shame on you.
Unso ladrones.
Bandlab is SCAM! Stole $8,000+ of My Royalties and Ghosted Me
I never expected to write a review like this, but my experience with BandLab Music Distribution has been honestly shocking. After several tracks performed extremely well organically, I was suddenly accused of “streaming fraud” with no clear explanation and no proof. These were viral tracks used by more than 10 million pieces of content across social media, especially Meta and TikTok, picked up by influencers, spreading globally, and generating hundreds of millions of views worldwide. That is the definition of organic reach, not manipulation.
Despite this, BandLab has held over $8,000 of my royalties so far. When I opened support tickets, I received harsh template or bot-style replies, vague statements, and then complete silence. I asked direct questions and repeatedly requested the data they claim they have, the specific evidence behind the accusations, and the methodology used to label my activity as fraud. Nothing. I also sent them the proof I collected during the viral stage, including social media analytics and platform indicators that clearly show organic growth. To them, it meant nothing.
What makes this worse is how they treat the support process. I was told to wait, and after waiting, my ticket was marked as “SOLVED” while none of my questions were answered. That is not a resolution. That is a shutdown.
Even more alarming, their platform stats are a mess. On most distributors, listener numbers and stream numbers are consistent and can be cross-verified through Spotify for Artists, Apple Music for Artists, and YouTube. With BandLab, I saw huge “stream” numbers that did not match what was visible across all DSP artist dashboards. It was so unrealistic that I started wondering if they were mixing social media views into streaming totals or using some other broken reporting logic. Either way, the reporting is confusing at best and misleading at worst.
I also followed their guidance about opening separate accounts for separate main artists. Another project of mine went viral too, not even as big as the first, and the same thing happened again: accusations, withheld earnings, no proof, and support tickets closed without answers. At that point, it no longer felt like a misunderstanding. It felt like a pattern.
In my view, this is exactly how scams operate: let artists ride a viral wave, then once it slows down, accuse them of fraud without evidence and keep the money. If you are an independent artist, beware. You can do everything right, go viral organically, and still get treated like you have no rights, no voice, and no value. I cannot believe this service is still recommended by other artists, because based on what happened to me, BandLab is SCAM.
Bandlab, another app ruined by a corporate machine.
BandLab use to be a great app to use. The music I posted wouldn’t get a ton of attention but I would often get constructive comments and reel plays. Ever since it moved to a pay for plays app, which is exactly what it is now, it has seriously gone down hill. I had to change my messages to only receive from followers because for the last two years, every message has been either spam or a scam. Someone wanting to “promote” which if you do research none are legit. Or someone pretending to be a record label interested in you that’s trying to get you to send them money or a fake woman trying to catfish. BandLab is a joke the only thing good about it was the free recording software but now you even have to pay for the features that are worth anything. I’ll stick to reverbnation and SoundCloud. Those platforms also have their pay features but they don’t cram it down your throat a you can still get plenty of exposure without paying.
Wasted Potential
The platform has so much potential, but the glitches make it unusable. It's impossible to move tracks or extend loops without having to close out the song and reopen it. I'm losing so much production time switching over to bandlab.
Péssimo
Péssimo. Rasguei dinheiro.
BandLabs team removing all the joy
Well you see there was this feature called "Live Collaboration" That the BandLabs team decided to remove, it was literally the only thing that in this piece of hot burning trash worker or was worth while.
“Greedy Technologies Inc.”
How do people make songs in here, I only use the looper just for copyrighted material to be in my songs, also how does d4vd and other good artist use this? Plus, they are way too greedy for Premium, don’t even get me started on the adds. And music distribution?? Yeah, sure. That’s gonna sell a lot.
Not worth your time or money
They are advertised as as a free mastering tool, but they are not free at all. You cannot even save one single "mastered" track without paying for some form of membership. Moreover, like another user said, their 'mastering' appears to simply be some extra gain that actually did not improve the sound of my song.
They took everything away without…
They took everything away without warning
No more opportunity to create any more sounds for free, they already have a multi million profit, but deny people on low income to create,it's a shame that profiteering has clouded your name
Total waste of time
Total waste of time. It basically slaps a vit of gain on your song the asks for your bank details, despite appearing on Google as a free mastering app.
Jokers
Worst app
Worst app. I was using it for a long time and it was amazing and now you have to pay for everything!!!!!!!!!!
Free trial blocks you from using their service
They showed a deal i wanted then they took that away and forced me into a free trial that was a worse deal. I wanted to upload music to Spotify so i did the free trial, put tons of work into preparing 12 songs for release doing their requirements, then after that the songs would not upload. I did research to find that the free trial, that i didn't want, doesn't allow uploads. Why even have it then? Now I've canceled the useless free trial and here's the kicker, i still can't upload any music and have to wait 4 days for the trial to run out, they won't even let me pay them to use their service, the free trial doesn't let you use their service, they just don't want people to use their service at all, complete joke. Horrible experience,
