Our 12,000-square-meter factory and 150 employees currently produce 150,000 pieces per year, with a goal of reaching 250,000 fireclay products by the end of 2023 with an additional 100 employees. Fireclay's History Although Fine Fireclay and Vitreous China are closely related, there are distinct differences that are frequently overlooked when producing Fine Fireclay, which is generally processed exactly the same as the Vitreous China product in production units specialising in Vitreous China production when, in reality, various parts of the process must be changed to produce a world class piece of Fine Fireclay. Following a decline in the production of Fine Fireclay products as a result of many Vitreous China manufacturers closing down across Europe, our founders set out to create the best Fine Fireclay product possible with the goal of becoming world leaders in Fine Fireclay production. It means that we choose our partnered manufacturers based on quality and trust rather than price, ensuring our customers received the highest quality goods. The Finest Raw Materials Fireclay products are manufactured and moulded in-house. We take great pride in this as a company because all of our Fireclay products are handcrafted by master potters, meaning a perfect sink is crafted every time. The key to producing outstanding Fireclay products is consistency. To ensure that each product meets our high standards, it is rigorously inspected, and quality tested.

This is a beautiful addition to the new kitchen
My daughter was looking for a double Belfast sink for a new kitchen installation. Found exactly what we wanted on the Balterley site. Hadn't heard of the company before so was a little worried. However the ordering process was very simple. The company kept me updated regarding the progress of my order and gave me a 2 hour time slot on the delivery day. The sink was delivered within that time slot. It was very heavy and the delivery driver carried it indoors for us. Its a lovely sink and looks very good quality for the price we paid. All in all we are very pleased with the purchase and the service we received.

kitchen sink
Ordered kitchen sink, taps and wastes at a good price. Ordering process was simple. However the courier service Arrow were pretty useless and I did not receive my items when due. Balterley customer service were polite and helpful and eventually dispatched a duplicate order a week later than I expected the original. The items seem in good, sound condition. I would have given 5 stars if the courier company had been up to the job.

Ceramic Sink looks good, Packaging and Delivery needs attention.
The first delivery never arrived, apparently due to technical issues. The second delivery arrived three days later (no delivery at weekends), live tracking information sent to me several times but never worked only given a two hour time slot. Waited in and Sink arrived approximately 45 minutes after the time slot expired. The packaging the sink arrived in was shocking, only a flimsy cardboard box with no protective filing whatsoever, how it came undamaged is a quite amazing. Apart from these two issues the sink looks great.
