Fantastic experience buying a flat
Our experience with Ballymore has been really great so far. They clearly put a great effort on making sure everything is up to their high standards and their completions team is really helpful. Special shoutout to Emily Donoghue from the completions team. She has been a delight to work with and she is one of the main reasons we are really satisfied with the purchase process.
The worst and most un-attentive developer
The worst and most un-attentive developer. Have been pursing heating problems with our flat that they are supposed to service. 8 months on and the problems persist, worst still they have not responded to emails. Do not buy from these “cowboys’
House in Bellingsfield flooded due to faulty water pump installed
We bought our first house from Ballymore in April of 2022 in the Naas Bellingsfield Estate in Ireland.
On Dec 23rd, 2023 water started flooding our house. We contacted Ballymore immediately via their aftercare number, explained that we were very distressed to manage and help contain the damage from the water while taking care of our the 8 month old baby. Ballymore had a Christmas break out of office on with an emergency number to call in case of serious incidents such as floods. We called the number endlessly for the Christmas break and no one EVER picked up. I believe we called about 12 times. We quickly identified that the issue was to due with a Grundfos water pump that Ballymore installed. During this period we found that there were several people on our state with the same problem with this pump.
Due to the lack of response, we had to turn the water off and move to my in-laws in Cork during the Christmas break. This was a very stressful period for us with a small baby.
On the first weekday of the 2024, I immediately called Ballymore aftercare to complaint and detail the situation. I spoke to Helen and pointed her to the email I had initially sent on the 22nd of December so she can have knowledge of all the details. I explained that we had a flood and now have massive water damage on the ground floor of our newly built home that we worked so hard to buy. Informed Helen that we now had visible mold on the walls and that we were concerned for the health of our small baby. There was no empathy what-so-ever and I had to keep explaining that this has been happening for 2 weeks and I had sent an email and called the "emergency" number before Christmas, over and over again. Still no empathy and was told that the house warranty had expired 2 months back. I got quite frustrated and said that the house warranty does not matter since it was the pump installed (still within warranty) that caused the damage. Helen finally agreed and asked me to send photos of the damage immediately. I followed the same email thread and shared the photos. I waited a further 2 days with no response. When I followed up, it was like I had never contacted Ballymore in the first place. I had to explain everything again and at this point I had decided to contact Grundfos directly, so I said that since the communication with Ballymore was not getting anywhere, I would not contact them in order to save me the needed energy I still needed to continue dealing with the damage. I STILL THINK BALLYMORE HAS ACCOUNTABILITY HERE.
Grundfus replaced the pump but the extensive damage from the water still remains. We eventually had to activate our home insurance since neither Ballymore or the pump manufacturer were taking accountability.
To summarize, our entire ground floor will have to be re-done. Plaster boards, cabinetry in the utility and kitchen, skirting boards, insolation and floors. An estimated 40-50K of damage (quoted by a flood specialist company) that Ballymore caused by installing a faulty pump.
Most importantly the works will take 3-4 months to complete and we have no where to go with our now 9 month old baby because we cannot afford a rent and our mortgage.
I wish Ballymore would have been responsive so that we wouldn't have so much damage. Now we're ging to have to be stuck at home with our small baby who has a tendency to have breathing issues, while the work is being done.
Very disappointed and frustrated at the lack of response and accountability.

Great experience with everyone at Ballymore
I had a really good experience with everyone at Ballymore, from sales, to completion, to snagging. I understand the volume of queries they must have, but everything was still done quickly and efficiently. Great time as a first-time buyer and relatively stress-free, including with their recommended solicitors (Quastels) and mortgage advisors (Capricorn). They also took all my requests into consideration and ensured that I completed before Christmas, which is what I asked them to bear in mind.

Great experience buying a property at Riverscape, London. Everything went smoothly and the property is lovely. My customer liaison Emily was such a great help throughout the process. My experience with Ballymoire
I had an excellent experience with the company. From the beginning with the Sales department with Sara Caplan to my completion with Emily Donoghue. Everyone in the team assisted me with my queries promptly. Unlike other experiences, the one with Ballymore is very unique as I feel part of a community, having met many of my new neighbours through events. I have been provided with a substantial amount of information through handbooks, videos, emails, etc. regarding all facets of the moving process, solicitor, home appliances, utilities, and aftercare. I would like to thank everyone on the team for their excellent work in assisting me in buying my very first home, this includes Sara, Sandor, Emily and Tonya. Wishing everyone all the best.

Riverscape
I purchased an apartment at Ballymore's new development Riverscape. As a first time buyer, it was pretty daunting! However, the Ballymore team were incredible with providing me with guidance throughout the entire process. I was particularly impressed by Emily Donoghue from the completions team. She was quick to respond to any queries that I had, really friendly and conducts herself with a great degree of professionalism - so thank you Emily :)

Our purchase and completions experience with Ballymore was very smooth. We were given all the right information through multiple forums, events and notifications that helped us be prepared and make all the arrangements at our end. I would particularly like to say special thanks to Emily who was our dedicated point of contact throughout the completions journey. She was really patient with all our queries and her responses were always very helpful for our decision-making. She communicated all key events much in advance with clear instructions for us to take necessary actions. Another key person that made our journey special was Na Wen who showed us the first glimpse of our new home and also handed our keys to us for our apartment. Na made sure that we felt extra special and made our day so rememberable. She was so thorough with the during the demonstration and was very patient with our questions.
