I want to give a huge thank you to Peter Walker at Balgores Property in Upminster for his outstanding service. From start to finish, Peter was simply amazing. The communication was excellent—he was available almost every time I needed to reach him and kept me informed throughout the entire process. He made everything so easy and stress-free.

Peter found me a fantastic deal, and I honestly couldn’t fault the service he provided. The fact that he was always there when I needed to ask questions really stood out for me. I’ve already recommended him to friends who are looking into mortgages because I would absolutely use Peter’s services again if I ever needed to move house or get another mortgage.

I also have to mention his colleague, Claire, who was just as fantastic. Together, they made the whole experience seamless. I truly can’t recommend Peter Walker and his team enough!

Peter has been very informative for us first time buyers and showed a true honesty. Finding our first house took time, Peter was patient and remained helpful when things had to change. Fantastic communication. We were then handed over to Claire who was equally fantastic. IF we ever decide to do the house moving process again, I would use Peter again in a heartbeat.

I attempted to buy a property through the Brentwood branch. I have been dealing mostly with the branch manager, who pushed me strongly to use their mortgage broker and their solicitors. First suggested that the property would be only available if I used their mortgage advisor. The advisor was extremely arrogant and tried to scare me into submission. I declined to work with him but still was interested in the property. Arranged my own advisor and property valuation. Turned out that the property would have been very difficult to mortgage and sell in the future putting the whole purchase in question. When I said I needed to consider my options the manager sent me a very snotty email about 'having advised' me on finding other lenders and later, when I called him to tell him what my decision was he told me that I wasted their time. A regretful experience from the beginning. Avoid.

Unprofessional and illegal practices. I was told i had to obtain a mortgage in principle from their in house mortgage broker before i could view a property even though i already have a mortgage in principle from my broker. The staff i spoke to was condescending and rude.

Peter was the broker for the purchase. He offered excellent service through out the process. He was always available to answer questions and provide support where some elements of the process got challenging. Should I want to sell or purchase another property, I shall be contacting Peter and Claire.

We don’t Evan know where to start to explain how fantastic our broker Peter walker is. From start to finish Peter took control and handled absolutely everything. He will go above and beyond for his customers we was so lucky to have him. He is the most down to earth man and he will stop at nothing to give you the best of everything. Peter handled our mortgage, home insurances, life insurances and sadly my daily stress. Pete takes it all on his shoulders and will tell you that’s what he is there for to take the worry away from his clients and he does exactly that. He gets things done yesterday and luckily expects the same from everyone else. If you are moving you need Peter walker in your life trust me !!! I had a positive experience with Balgores Property. My first experience was with Peter Walker and his understanding of the property market and mortgages in particular swayed me to pay a premium for his service even though I previously had two other cheaper/free advisors lined up.

He was very accessible and responsive and his overall demeanor was assuring. He was also very available throughout the process to respond to our numerous questions anytime.

Most importantly, he helped us negotiate a further 3.5% reduction in the property value after the bank's survey.

Also, the team assisted us with the insurance covers and we're guided with respect to all our available options which helped us make informed decisions.

I know I'm a very difficult person to please but this team went over and beyond to provide good and exceptional service to us during our property purchase process.

I would recommend them any day as they were a big part of us not experiencing any frustrations during our house purchase journey.

This is from a perspective of someone who worked at Balgores and saw how clients and buyers were treated as as staff.i left Balgores this month due to being sworn at a lot in the office as well as shouted at I was spoken to in a certain way and I had enough of this
I noticed that the men in the office wouldn’t help the lady vendors or buyers as much and did they didn’t get mortgage/ solicitors out of them then they wouldn’t get the property!
Unfortunately this is just how it is I handed my resignation in and moved company’s they said not to work my notice period as I’m a “competitor” now with the new company and said I would be paid the same as they have already threatened me with no pay for a week even though I did work that last week.
It’s a awful company over all such a shame as Essex office is lovely Gravesend however not so much

Extremely unprofessional, like others have similarly experienced, they do not respond to email enquiries nor telephone calls. Rather u helpful and abrupt when you contact on their social media and only reply on there as it’s a public platform. I will never recommend this business and I will make sure others know how they act towards potential tenants, maybe they discriminate against a certain group, who knows. But sadly, a very negative experience and for that I will never recommend this company. They also then remove any comments with negative experiences shared on their social media.
