The appearance and character of this loco has been well captured with an excellent level of fitted detail and quality finish. A firebox glow feature is fitted. Separate etched number and builders plate are provided.
As an analogue operator the initial operation of the coreless type motor was very erratic with pronounced jerkiness at low speeds but I found this was due to the feedback function of my controller- with this switched out the operation is very smooth and controllable. Bachmann would be wise to cover this in the instructions.
When running through points (code 100) the loco was prone to stalling where other similar locos do not. On investigation I found this to be due to a) wiper contacts not fully contacting wheel rim on rear axle, and b) the front guard irons grounding on point frogs or rail head. Following adjustments the running is now flawless.
Loco is now a joy to operate.

Best Quality model trains
The Quality is Good, The Quality of sound on the model is also very crystal clear. when my EZ command controller broke they sent me a replacement in Several Days. My only thing that they should improve is make the website store and the homepage the same website.
