I’ve been signed up to the course to further my knowledge and potentially start a new business venture more than 10 months after completing my module two I’m still waiting for my certification and confirmation and confirmation I’ve passed the course. Completed the final module in May 2025 at the end of January 2026. I’ve got an email to say I had two weeks to complete an additional module which required workplace supervised observations and other practical hands-on experience skills. This is not possible in the two weeks timeline given and was a new addition to the course which was not in place when I completed the final module. The general communication from this company is horrendous with a multiplications student emails not getting answered and therefore happens to be chased at time and time again.
Also when pointed out to the course provider that some of the information on the course was out of date no further action was taken or updates given considering this was done in 2024 and we are now in 2026 this makes me feel that the efficacy of the course and course providers due diligence are somewhat questionable.
Going back to the fact that I started this post in order to start a business what a waste of time of money this course has taken over two years and counting to get certification from signing it.

I suspect many of the positive reviews are totally about sales process to sign up for the courses but to be honest once you’ve paid your money to the the student support system is totally ineffective when it does appear.

Right now I just want my certification so that I can close the book on having to deal with this business

AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!
I have had an absolutely awful disgracefu lexperience with Animal Courses Direct / Learndirect.
Throughout my time with this provider, I experienced repeated failures including misinformation, inconsistent communication, and a lack of proper support. I was repeatedly left having to chase for basic information and clarification, often receiving unclear or conflicting responses.
There were also serious issues in how my needs were handled due to being a disabled student, which I definitely consider to be discriminatory.
In addition, I submitted a Subject Access Request which was acknowledged but then completely ignored. It is now over three months overdue with no data provided, no lawful extension, and no meaningful communication despite multiple follow-ups.
At this point, this goes beyond poor service. Ignoring a Subject Access Request for this length of time is a breach of data protection law, and the complete lack of response suggests a disregard for legal obligations and customer rights. THIS IS STILL NOT BEEN RESOLVED AND I'M BEING COMPLETELY IGNORED BREAKING MY LEGAL RIGHTS!

The amount of time, effort, and stress caused by repeatedly chasing this company with no resolution has been completely unacceptable. This has had a big negative impact on my mental health.

Overall, this has been a dreadful experience and reflects extremely poorly on the organisation.STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!

I was very happy with the course a level 2 veterinary nursing assistant diploma and the support I received. It can take a long time to receive the certificate because once you have completed the course it needs to go through an internal and then external validation process by the awarding body.

I would not recommend this course provider to anybody.

I am not happy with the after care as since i bought my course i had bad news from my doctor and my health permits me from doing this course and since i cancelled within my cooling off period I didn’t thinks it wld be this difficult to get my £1600 refund , i have waited for hours on the customer service number and nothing , 6 wells later still no refund

I had been looking at the Zookeeping course on animal courses direct and Holly was great! She was brilliant on the phone and clear in explaining everything to me, even when I was having technical difficulties! She also sent smiley faces in messages!! Ask for Holly!! :D

Passed in August, Been made to wait until MARCH to review my course as wrongly accused of using AI. Sent NUMEROUS emails and no response, left a review on here and told to email STILL NO RESPONSE.

Taken my money for the course, won't give me the qualification I worked hard for.

Will probably respond to this with a poor excuse and ask me to email again, which they won't respond to!

The woman holly who I spoke with during my application and initial interest in the course was so incredibly helpful! It was super easy to sign up and I had all the payment plans explained which was also extremely helpful.

They will contact you without delay to get you signed up for a course, after that you’ll have more luck getting trump on the phone or responding via email.

Please be aware even after they’re responding below, you contact them as they ask and again, no response. Stay away from them, they’re courses are cheap for a reason

I had an awful experience with this company.
The course cost £3000 and should have been completed in 1-2 years maximum.
There was very little if any help during the course.
On completion of the course, i was told that all of the coursework had been lost due to a computer error!
We were asked to complete the whole course again!
Initially being offered a few hundred pounds in compensation and finally getting 60% back after weeks of phoning, emailing and frustration.
On completion of the course for the second time, we had to wait a further 18 months to finally receive a certificate!
The whole process was very stressful, disappointing and has delayed career by 3 years!!
Recently I met another student who had gone through the same ordeal but managed to get 100% of her money back but only after starting proceedings to small claims court.
So my warning to all young students is BEWARE this company is so friendly when taking your money and signing you up.But after that they are extremely difficult and disappointing to deal with.
I would strongly recommend that you research other places to study.
With this company you could have a long slog to ever get your certificate and potentially be financially out of pocket.
