Shocking experience this is not luxury
Zero reviews, now I can see why. This review is for Amberley Castle Hotel.
Everything below is a true account of my stay and I have found almost identical comments going back to 2025 from other visitors. Clearly the hotel knows about the problems and is doing nothing to rectify them.
Quality of service appalling, quality of breakfast appalling, how a chef in a luxury hotel can not deliver eggs Benedict to a reasonable standard is beyond understanding, tasteless and over cooked. Only one teabag in the room, housekeeping response, we’ve run out.
Amenities around the hotel poor. Golf course (mini) in so bad repair it was unplayable.
Room had damp and mould on the bedroom walls, shower was not working. Window blind ripped and dirty. Bed headboard stained.

Staff unfriendly and unwilling to offer a solution. Smiles cost nothing and can overcome many problems, staff are clearly not happy.
In balance this is a lovely location.
Absolutely shocking experience and not in any way a luxury experience. Price no way reflects the quality of this hotel, avoid.
