I've been in IT for 20 years and I've been using AlternativeTo.net for as long as I can remember. Finding alternative tools or services comes up a *lot*. Whether it's wanting to find an open source alternative, a version of "that app" you read about but is on Mac but you need one for Windows, or you're looking for something better than the one you got AlternativeTo.net is the place to find that.

There is a large trustworthy community that strives to constantly be adding and linking alternatives, keeping them updated when they are discontinued or they start packing adware with their products. I've had only a handful of interactions with volunteers when I proposed edits and they've always been nothing but polite and respectful even when I proposed a service that already existed or an edit that was not necessary.

I really appreciate AlternativeTo.net and use them almost every week and find their blog posts to be extremely helpful and insightful and cannot recommend it any more.

This website is an extensive and extremely useful resource. If you're looking for any alternative software, it is most likely listed on AlternativeTo. It has great filtering options, so you only see open source software if that is for example relevant to you. Then you can add reviews to your experiences with said software. This makes it all very valuable.

SCAM DIRECTORY - careful - many of these "apps" listed on this website steal your credit card.

This company has no shame they just list obvious criminal operations, its a shame this is allowed under the guise of "Software"

Just a Wonderful site , The site has every Thingy that exists and allows to add them easily making it easy to Contribute and very reliable as every action is reviewed by admins in a short amount of time

I Agree with most of reviews here. It really one of the few platform where anyone (as long content is legal, which is completely normal) can list its platform.

So it's not perfect and we could have several improvement especially on newly listed platform which are often last in the list, But then when you know it you simply start from end, going backward you will find more easily newly added.

Sometime it may not be allowed to list a project as an alternative of other projects when they are in early stage (but still it can be added to the platform).

A great place where really everyone, every serious team get a true chance.
