This is the worst company. They offer to remove late fees and then deny you. They can't speak english and sound like robots. I am a cosigner for my son who has lost his job and they would not work with me. My credit is trashed. Lesson to learn don't use Allly or cosign!!!!

I leased a car thru them made all my payments on time and of the amount. I did an extension for 6 months and paid all those on time. I turned in my lease got charged ($100.00 for a flood light ) Which I agreed to pay. They are attempting to collect almost $400.00 on a fee since my new lease (dealership does not use ally ) How am I supposed to control on whom the dealership uses to finance??? I they just charged it off screwing up my good credit score. I will be fighting this all the way.... This is not right !!!!
This company is nothing but a scam
This company is nothing but a scam. Worst customer service possible and can only talk with people in Asia with questionable English capability. Still cannot get logged into my account to make car payment. I do not do checks, do not even have any so cannot mail a check. I can only surmise4 that they do not want a payment on the vehicle but maybe they make more money by repossession, I do not know why they are so difficult to deal with. Scam company, beware!
Data Breach
They gave a stranger access to my bank accounts — full visibility and the ability to transfer my money. I only found out because she contacted me.
When I raised the issue, they pointed fingers at me, blamed her, and are now claiming I’m making it up — even though I’ve provided clear screenshots and evidence.
They refuse to take accountability or fix the problem, so I’m left with no choice but to move all my funds and close the account.
This is a serious breach of trust and security.

It’s a shame you can’t give negative review numbers…As a widow who recently lost her husband who purchased his truck and it was financed thru Ally, their customer service is some of the worst I have ever experienced!! Truck note is on autopay and has remained that way since his death. I would go on the Ally Dashboard monthly for statements and they have now locked me out of their Dashboard/Portal. Ally has received via email all the appropriate documents related to his death and I received an email back from them confirming and stating they would f/u with me. 7 days later and I have not received any information from them and was told by “Chimmir” that we are to call them that they do not reach out and that is just an automated reply. Per Chimmir tech support can now give me access to Ally Dashboard and she transferred my to “Aya” in Retail who said she and Tech Support could not assist me because the Deceased Dept had not updated the file yet. I requested to be transferred back to the Deceased Dept and spoke with “Chantel” who stated that they have not uploaded the legal documents yet (they stated it took up to 7 days) and still not done and to just keep trying back. She is not sure when it will be done. When I asked Chantel why Chimmir transferred me to Retail in the first place if nothing had been “uploaded” by them, she could not answer. I asked to speak to a Manager in the Deceased Dept and she stated there was not one on site and she would send my request to the Escalation Team and it would take 24 to 48 hrs for a response. Ally is a great example of just how bad customer service has gotten.

Whatever you do don't use them for anything
Whatever you do, do not use this financial institution, they are thieves!. They will take your money and not apply it to your account and then tell you they don't know where the money went even though your bank will tell you that it was a clear Transaction!
I made my car payment. It was taken out of my bank account. They tell me they never received the money. My bank says that is a lie. They have over a $1000 of my money, but refuse to apply it to my car loan and put my car out for repossession Even though My bank says they have my car payment. It's been 30 days and ally financial doesn't know where a thousand dollars went.
Please do not give this financial institution your money or time of day. Nor do not finance anything through them. They will take your money, not apply it to your loan.And then tell you, they don't know where the money is.They never received it.
I have given them bank statements, proving that they took the money out of my account. And my bank has given me a transaction. I d number proving that they took the money out of my account, but they refuse to do any footwork to figure out where my money went. According to ally financial, my money is just gone and I should accept that it's just floating out there in their pockets and not applied to my loan

Worst customer service ever. Just called to pay off my car loan, they wanted a money gram and refused to accept payment over the phone or by using their app. What in the world? Customer service people are useless.
THEY HAVE NO WAY OF RECTIFYING/OR NOBODY KNOWS HOW TO CORRECT INCORRECT INFO THATS BEING REPORTED TO THE CREDIT BUREAU
AFTER 2 HOURS EFFORT AND BEING TRANSFERED TO 5 DIFFERNT DEPARTMENTS TO GET THIS INCORRECT INFORMATION REMOVED FROM MY CREDIT REPORT, I WAS FINALLY TOLD THE INFORMATION REPORTED TO THE CREDIT BUREAU IS AUTOMATED AND ALL THEY CAN DO IS ASK THE CREDIT BUREAU TO REVIEW THE REPORT. NOTE: HOW IS IT THEY DONT SEE THAT THIS PROCESS WILL NOT RECTIFY MY SITUATION BECAUSE THE CREDIT REPORT IS ONLY GOING TO REVIEW WHAT WAS SENT TO THEM FROM ALLY.
Their management is rude and monotoned
Their customer is rude, condescending, and repeats the worst monotone like wording. They do not have CSR in the US and treat everyone with the fullest disrespect. Trying to get a payoff letter is a pain in the ***. What kind of institution doesn't have email as an option. Ridiculous.
Hiring Process at Ally Financial…
I understand why Ally's clients have so many negative comments about this company. I applied and was hired as a Customer Solutions Representative- Collector. But they have made the process very frustrating and unfair. They hired a company Business Information Group to do background check. This company found job not listed on my application and the will not clear me for employment. When I contacted Ally they said waiting for the report then BIG I was told Ally has the report. They will not confess that there is an issue with a former employers review. I was suppose to start work April 7.It obvious to me I will not be hired. The company operates their employment process as they conduct their interaction with clients. VERY POORLY.

I opened a Roth IRA on line and stated it as a regular contribution. I followed up with a phone call a week later to make sure they had it right. It was confirmed as a regular contribution. A week after that they sent an email asking for more info on a"Rollover". I called and too long wait so l got on chat all day to get it straightened out. They said l would need to wait for a call back in 2 days. I work and asked for time to call. No call at all and 5 days later still no call. It's insane a phone call couldn't get it straighten out. Do not use you will not receive any attention to your concerns. They even lied about who their regulatory agency is. 20 people 3 supervisors no call no change over a week. This will mess with my taxes. Do not use their investments. I'm amazed they are allowed to operate like this. Hours spent to straighten their mistake out and no results after 5 days. They don't care about your money at all.

Dealing with this company has been an absolute nightmare. They will not let me pay my credit card payment via bank account any more. I have been attempting to pay my bill for almost a week and my payments keep being 'canceled' including my auto pay. Thats after receiving emails saying my payment has been confirmed.
STOP - I will be looking in to legal action
STOP! Don't do it! Worst, worst, worst company I have ever dealt with. I paid the balance in "full" two months after I purchased the car. Looked on the app and it said I had a $170 balance. They will nickel and dime you in to poverty and forget speaking to someone who speaks English, you won't understand a word they say. A $7,900 car ended up costing me $11,400 even paying it off two months in. Don't do it! Biggest mistake you will ever make.

Ally will not let me pay my credit card payment via bank account any more. They make it very difficult to pay them. They are completely rude and uncooperative. Will never be a customer of theirs again. Completely unacceptable business practices.

This is the worst financial institution in the world. I paid off my automobile loan in full and they continued to bill me via auto pay information they had on file. These people have procedures in place to punish people who pay off their loans. Make your final payment and they enter the payment date MONTHS AFTER you close the account so they can continue to bill you. They are a bunch of thieves and have ZERO BUSINESS ETHICS !

I was lied to by two different female employees over the phone which caused me to have no way to access my money as they canceled my debit card without my knowledge or consent. And the supervisor DIDN'T CARE OR DO ANYTHING about! WORST BANK EVER!! RUN TO ANY OTHER FINANCIAL INSTITUTION!!
