Trustworthy with caveats
I have been a customer since the very beginning (many, many years now), I've spent £100's, and I can say 100% that you can trust the company. When there have been issues with releases, they have sent out new disks. When items get delayed, you still recieve it. When you send a query you... get a reply, eventually.
They had some really horrendous issues over xmas 2025 sale, which people have rightly left 1* reviews for. I ordered 2-Dec-25 and recieved in Feb-26. Even so recent as April 2026, I have a pre-order delayed with 0 comunication until I e-mailed 2 weeks after release and got a reply 1 week later. They are still advertising right now that item as Add-To-Cart with 0 notification it's not available to ship. I am still 100% confident at the moment that I will get it, or at least a refund, but it's poor.
My reply was "This is not one of our own products, and did not know there would be a shipping delay from the supplier until when we were last in contact with you." which is... well if you're selling it, it's your responsobility, and how can you not know there is a delay when the pre-order date is over by 2 weeks? Why is no one checking the status of overdue orders? Where is the care about the customer?
They aren't scamming me, but if this wasn't a niche anime website without much real competition then they would be blown out the water by a seirous competitor with a focus on customer experience.
What I'd want you to take away from this review is, especially given the 1* reviews recently, they are safe to buy from, so don't be concerned about losing your money, but if you're looking for great customer service etc then right now, sadly, there's not much reason to shop here if you can go somewhere else for a similar price.
Edit: Just for clarity, the April 2026 delayed item arrived early June.
