This review is in reference to Mediacom.
I made a very interesting and informative discovery this afternoon about my Mediacom Service. First, a little backstory. I’ve been a Mediacom customer for several years now, suffering the “outages” every time there’s a cloud in the sky!
I’ve been paying Mediacom for 5G internet since I first started with Mediacom.
HOWEVER, today my Roku TV displayed a message on one of the upper channels that stated: “This device will not work on 4G internet.”
So Mediacom, what’s your excuse? Obviously you’ve been charging me for 5G internet service, but only providing 4G internet service. Can you spell “FRAUD” and “THEFT BY DECEPTION”, not to mention FALSE ADVERTISING!!!
And I should mention I’ll be contacting the BBB, the Indiana Attorney General’s Office, and the FCC tomorrow morning and registering a FORMAL COMPLAINT and asking that charges be filed against Mediacom!!!

It was a little unsettling at first…
It was a little unsettling at first because I believed I was contacting Optimum directly, but I later realized I was actually speaking with Allconnect, a service that helps compare and set up internet and other utilities. Providing sensitive personal information through a system I wasn’t familiar with, called Sara Plus, made me nervous. However, throughout the process, the sales representative consistently reassured me and explained how everything worked. In the end, the service proved to be legitimate, which ultimately gave me the peace of mind I needed.

AllConnect rep misrepresented “unique” opportunity. I only called to find out if EarthLink provided service to an address and agreed to be transferred to a rep for more information. No rep came on the other line and suddenly I get an email saying I ordered service. Spent over an hour on the phone trying to cancel it and got no where. Shady business practice.

No easy accessibility for fixed income customers
The customer service representative were very nice. I did not like the fact that I could not make an appointment to connect my service Two weeks in advance without any issues. Also I’m on a fixed income and I get all my bills direct payments.
