I attended the Wild Wellness Retreat in Wales last July. The location, people, activities and food were amazing. However I paid an extra £210 for a single person tent. There was a hole that needed taping up with a single camp bed. They kindly changed this to a futon but the tent was freezing. I had no wood burner. It was only after looking in other guests tents I had no sea grass mats or rugs. I feel I didn’t have the same comforts that the sharing tents had.
I would engage with to team to ask if this has now changed before booking a single occupancy tent. Tbh I thought I would have been offered a shepherds hut not a huge tent to myself. After contacting the team they just said they’d pass on the feedback. Unfortunately I wouldn’t recommend Adventure Tours because of this.

We did the Southwest 660 by car and had a great time, much helped by Poppy at Adventures UK. Luckily we got back before the snow! We stayed in Weymouth, Torquay, St Austell, Newquay, Instow and Dunster and saw pretty much everything there was to see on the way round, we actually did 716 miles.

I really enjoyed the Winter Wellness retreat, and returned home feeling refreshed. We were well looked after, and the yoga, walks, food and company were all good. Being at the Centre for Alternative Technology was an added bonus - I felt the environment was being looked after as well as us!

Gentle yoga, mindful walking, wreath making and in small groups led by genuine people who love adventure but also care deeply about the environment. Would highly recommend!

It’s exactly what I need after a wet winter and recovering from an accident , gentle introduction to Nidra yoga, great trainer, guides, location , food and companies. Meeting like minded people. Is an added bonus to see CAT after 40 years. Looking forward to have new adventure with Adventure Tours UK .

Had a great weekend in North Wales very well organised and great running guide in Tim . Food was excellent and weather was fabulous .

My second private trail running weekend with Adventure Tours. This time we were a group of six. Another brilliant experience of fantastic hill running, great organisation and accommodation. Particular mention for our running guide, Tim for his expertise, support and unfailing patience, with great advice to take home and put into practice. We had a lot of fun on the ups and the downs. Hoping to do it all again next year!

A brilliant weekend in Wales hill running! Was apprehensive as I am the wrong side of 60 but Tim was an excellent coach and full of useful information and tips on techniques and nutrition.
The hotel was excellent and the weather played it’s part!
I would recommend this trip to others.

We spent an amazing weekend in Llangollen hill running with Tim.

Firstly the accommodation arranged at the Wild Peasant Hotel was excellent. A really comfortable hotel on the outskirts of town.

Tim lead us for 3 runs. Being a runner of the slower variety, I was nervous about the experience but I did not need to worry. I kept up, enjoyed the challenge of hill running especially the down bits (lol) and the views .... just being out in the Welsh hills was awesome.

Tim was an amazing run leader, he loves imparting knowledge and was incredibly interesting. I learned an awful lot. His recommendations for lunches and dinners were spot on too.

Would I do it again? In a heartbeat!!!

I went on the surf/ yoga retreat in wales and it was the most refreshing and adventurous break I’ve had in a long time!
We had an amazing host- Sarah who took care of us the whole trip. She was so personable and made us all feel very relaxed!
The surf instructor Don was fabulous who took the time to help us battle the waves and the yoga instructor Remi was equally as great. It was a perfect balance of activity/ relaxation. St.David’s is also a lovely little place.
The hotel was lovely, especially the breakfast:)

I would definitely recommend this trip and will be booking with them again in the future!

Claire and her team at Adventure Tours UK are amazing! First of all, they stuck with us for nearly two and half years as we started planning our trip less than one month before Covid changed the world. They patiently waited out the chaos with us, while staying in touch on occasion to be sure everyone was still following the same train of thought.

We traveled as a private tour with just our family because the group tour we wanted was not offered during the dates we were available. Claire managed to create a replica of the tour with a few extra personal adjustments. We stayed in adorable boutique hotels, we had drivers and private or nearly private guides for all of our activities, and we never had to think about what was next because everything was done and arranged in advance. We met amazing local people full of knowledge and skills that adapted our adventures to our liking: Adam, Jamie, Harry, Ed, Josh, Anita, John and Steve. We even ran into Anita the kayak guide later in the week as we were venturing out on our Coasteering trip with Steve (do NOT miss this by the way, it was amazing!). On our own, we never would have found these amazing local guides from small or independent companies who know the area and have the skills to make your day glorious. We followed Claire's recommendations for restaurants and were not disappointed. In fact, the only food fail we experienced was the one time we attempted to choose on our own instead of following the advice on our itinerary. There was one moment when a taxi driver didn't show up on time, but Claire and team worked their magic and had the day re-arranged in no time, ensuring that we still worked in all of the planned fun for that day and the only inconvenience to us was that we had to enjoy a cup of coffee while she made it all work. Can't complain!
We would absolutely book with this company again, and in fact I hope we have the opportunity to do so as there is so much more we'd like to experience.

I truly enjoyed the Wild Wellness Retreat in North Wales!
Sarah and Hariette both worked very hard to make the adventure very memorable. The balance between yoga , Paddle boarding and foraging were perfect. The story telling by Fiona took me back to happy childhood memories. The food was delicious! I truly enjoyed the company of all the glampers and feeling blessed to meet such lovely people. Adventure Tours delivered an oppertunity to relax , experience new things and become one with nature! Big Thanks !

We have just returned from a wilderness yoga retreat in North Wales. The glamping site at Corwen was fantastic and the Yoga and paddle boarding combination a great idea, we loved it all. Sarah and Harriet were perfect hosts and the food was a highlight. We will definitely use Adventure tours UK again.

Just returned from the North Wales Multi Adventure week. It was great fun with a variety of activities that were relaxing and challenging. We had a superb guide, Josh, who was knowledgeable and fun. The accomodations were great. All good!!

Our Guide was amazing and consulted us constantly on which routes we were planning to take. He was also super knowledgeable about the area and the local fauna and flora. All the logistics were taken care of which is great if you don’t have the time to organise things yourself. We were given all the relevant information beforehand.
Our accommodation was central and very comfortable.

Recently returned from a wonderful ‘Mindfulness walking weekend’ in beautiful North Wales. It was an amazing experience all round, from the accommodation to the pleasant company. With the added extra of an evening of star gazing with a local enthusiast.

The mindfulness walking and professional guidance was lovely and calming, with lots tips and tools to takeaway and use in your everyday life.

I would highly recommend this trip for anyone interested in knowing more about mindfulness and putting it into practice while walking in the beautiful peaceful surroundings.

I am not someone who would typically explore mindfulness. I was sceptical about it but am glad I went. The accommodation was great, the hotel staff very helpful. Claire was lovely company and really passionate about delivering the best experience for us, and Belinda, the mindful coach, made the mindful walking a really fun and interesting activity as well as delivering all the benefits that mindfulness has to offer. I cannot recommend this activity and this company enough! If you’re thinking about booking a break with them just do it!!

I’ve been running for many years but learned so much from the amazing international fell runner Tim Higginbottom leading our runs and his extensive knowledge passed on to us
Yoga with Kirsty was just the thing after running too
Don’t worry regarding pace as chilled runs with stops to talk technique etc and get a breather and photos
2.75 mile sunset run on Friday followed by Saturday and Sunday 10-11milers with tuition
Scenery was spectacular
Food was exceptional and plentiful from local chef eleri_eats
using local produce
Bell tents spacious with twin beds , log burner and plenty of warm blankets and duvet
Toilet and shower facilities near the tents
Will definitely return and I’d definitely recommend this experience *****

Set off full of trepidation for the Trail Running Weekend as woefully under prepared but I shouldn’t have worried. The weekend was amazing & my running mojo has well and truly returned. Claire and Sarah looked after us from start to finish. All I had to think about was running & yoga. Tim is a fabulous coach and totally tuned into all our different abilities and goals. He is full of helpful top tips and enthusiasm. A perfect guide / coach. Yoga with Kirsty was a great introduction for me. Glamming experience was stress free and cozy warm despite the sub zero nights. Food nourishing, wholesome and appreciated.
Overall, an unexpected five star weekend that has reset, body, mind and soul. Claire - you have a cracking business. Keep doing what you’re doing
