I saved over 60% by having new lenses instalkled in my prescription sunglasses. The turnaround time was reasonable too. Very pleased with this company and the re-lense concept.

I have worn glasses for many, many years. I had a corneal transplant a little over a year ago. My ophthalmologist wrote an updated eyeglass prescription. I have always had an odd/difficult prescription due to being born with lazy eye 60+ years ago that was never corrected. Thus, one lens requires a much different prescription from the other.

Due to that, I have always been hesitant about ordering eyeglasses from a distance. I took the plunge and have been pleasantly surprised. The price is outstanding. I like being able to pick the lenses with various features without someone standing over me trying to upsell me.

The glasses were made in a timely fashion, shipped during bad weather and I was notified of possible delays. No real delays noticed. I received the glasses a few days ago and have had time to test them out indoors and outdoors. These are as good a pair of glasses as I have ever had and I never had to leave my home to get them.

Based on my experience, I highly recommend giving these folks a go. Be sure and read all warranty/remake details, which are clearly posted on the website.

**Defective lenses, then dishonesty when held accountable**

I ordered prescription transition lenses in September 2025. Two issues from the start — the transitions only partially activated (bottom right corner darkening while the rest stayed clear, causing dizziness), and excessive glare that made them unusable at a computer or in photos. I've worn transition lenses for years and have never experienced anything close to this.

When I contacted customer service, a representative acknowledged the defect in writing and opened an RMA outside their standard 90-day window — because they believed it was a manufacturing issue. That was the honest response.

Once I filed a chargeback, the story changed overnight. Management inspected the same glasses and suddenly declared them "working properly," denied any defect, and tried to send them back. The only variable that changed between "I definitely believe is a defect issue" and "working properly" was financial accountability.

I had to resolve this through my credit card company, who ruled in my favor. A $132.95 order shouldn't require that level of effort — but the contradiction between their own team's assessments made a straightforward resolution impossible.

If you order from here and everything arrives fine, you'll probably be satisfied. But if something goes wrong, know that the honesty you get from frontline support may not survive contact with management.

Quick order turn around, decent quality glasses, and a very affordable price. This will have been my 4th order. Nice to have affordable glasses when your prescription changes more quickly than you'd like. They aren't designer glasses but I'm not interested in paying 10 times the price for a name stamped on the side. There are plenty of choices that are close to the designer styles anyway.

I bought the same glasses at least 3 years ago if not longer. They've been great & I'm still wearing them. But I was still getting worried they may break at some point. I have others, but they are not as comfortable as these. So I ordered another pair. They came very quickly and are the same, nice glasses I've been wearing. Thank you!!

i love these glasses and this website! i had ordered a pair of prescription sunglasses before and i still use them. but these glasses, i guess where they are fake silver; turned my skin green haha. like how fake jewelry does, so if you have metal allergies — i don’t recommend this pair. i get green strips near my temples and the backs of my ears get very irritated unfortunately. and i cannot afford a new pair rn :’).

I am returning after only 1 year. My first pair wear amazing, prescription expired, and I damaged them. Got a new prescription that I paid for, the other was free, and I just ordered my second pair. Kicker: I'm not bifocal or progressive like my first prescription denoted. I'm single vision so I paid next to nothing!! I will be a forever customer. I'm so tickled I'm gonna faint!!

The whole experience was excellent. The Easy to use online procedure, including PD measuring. The glasses were shipped in a few days and I received them earlier than projected time frame. Glasses arrived intact and fit perfectly. I will be ordering others in the future.

The lenses had no flaws. They are light and my vision is very clear. Everything was packaged well and you returned the original lenses and shipping glass case. The clam case, lens wipe, and screw driver you provided were nice quality items. I wanted Amber colored lenses- your color offerings are a bit limited. The price was reasonable due to the 15% discount.

I don’t mean to be one of those people but I am deeply upset due to my experience with 39dollarglasses. I sent those glasses in which cost me $20 to ship and on top of that it was $53 for them to actually make the lenses to fit the glasses. Earlier this morning I received an email that they broke my glasses. HOW DO YOU DO THAT ?!? I apologize for being dramatic but those sunglasses were very special to me and I wanted to replace the lenses so they could be my everyday. I wouldn’t say that I wouldn’t recommend this place because I am sure they do great work but I am still heartbroken by the lose of these. If anything I’d recommend going to an eye doctor by you to get them done in person.

This company is terrible in every regard. I had 3 different frames break in less than a month of receiving them. The company would not replace the glasses after the second break and said "the frames were defective." Why was that my problem and not theirs.

The customer service people were rude and did not follow up on commitments they made to provide status on a return/replacement. I had to contact them 3 times and they blamed me for expecting they were going to follow through on their commitment. I will never buy from them again.

I found very flattering frames that I love, the service was good and the price was very affordable. But the frames were understandably cheaply made with fragile plastic that broke within the first month. Hopefully the company will replace the frames at no cost.
