Have placed 2 orders wih shipping to Wales in the last month, both orders arrived within a week of the order. The DVD's were region 1 which I wanted. These will not work in the UK unless you have a multi region player so beware when ordering.
I can see a few bad reviews but my own experience has only been positive. I will be ordering in the future from them.
Good service, terrible delivery
Pros: always had good experience with their customer service, reliable for US releases. I have used them for years, but probably not for much longer.
Cons: packaging of shipments is abysmal, a simple cardboard wrap that offers no protection. Since switching from Royal Mail to Evri as their delivery service, this is even worse since Evri somehow seem to back a truck over every parcel. I've had so many damaged deliveries that it would probably be cheaper/safer to use Amazon US and my own forwarder. Getting a replacement is a huge hassle also, being asked to return the damaged item at my cost.

Do not order from this company I received an empty case i did email them multiple times but I never got a reply. My bank is now dealing with it. Terrible terrible avoid this company

...as in "wow, why the hell didn't I just order from that other place instead for just a couple of quid more?!"
I ordered a copy of Rambo 4 on 4K disc - WOWHD offering about the cheapest price I could find for it - even when it was coming from America. After about 3 weeks AFTER the "your order has been despatched" e-mail, and nothing actually arriving, I was beginning to get a little concerned. Yes it was coming from America but that doesn't take THAT long to travel. I then looked up the tracking number on a generic tracking site - to discover that firstly they'd given it to Hermes to deliver (BIG mistake for any competent company to do), and secondly that it had been returned to sender. In other words, Hermes can't even deliver a 4K disc to your house.
But this isn't about how useless Hermes are - as we all know that already. It's about WOWHD and their handling of this. I e-mailed them and they were helpful, and told me, after asking for my address details, I could have refund or a new item sent. Of course I chose a refund, seeing as I'd already established with WOWHD that they were digging their heels in and refusing to use a proper delivery company, and were sticking with Hermes. Knowing that Hermes couldn't even deliver a film to me the once, basic common sense would tell you they were hardly likely to magically achieve this if asked to again. So I chose a refund. WOWHD stated this would take "2-3 business days". Fair enough.
A MONTH or so later, I decided to check through my bank account to find their refund entry as a credit. It did not exist. I e-mailed them AGAIN (1st of September) and was told "We have forwarded the request to the correct department for further assistance". Um, so you mean to say the person who told me they'd be processing a refund a month ago was NOT the correct department?!
They told me to allow "24-48 hours". Well lo and behold, what do you know - tonight I've FINALLY been given a refund for a film that I never received.
Yes I was eventually refunded but were they just hoping I wouldn't notice I'd never actually received the refund? I rather suspect that they were. And it's a little worrying that the person who was e-mailing me in the first instance didn't appear to be authorised to give a refund - and yet claimed that he was processing one.
I'm sure some people have had good experiences with this company, and they do appear to be a legitimate business. But as with any business, it's what happens when things go WRONG that sets them apart from others. And WOWHD just don't appear to know what they're doing in this regard. And digging your heels in and insisting you're only going to use a delivery company that I have proved is completely and utterly useless and their 1 and only job (that being of delivering stuff) is not the best of moves. I have zero confidence in this company and would not recommend them.
Do not pre-order from these clowns

Used wowhd many many times for US imports. Never had a single problem. A lot of these negative reviews are from people whose lives are over if they do not get a blu ray quickly. The shipping is not like amazon, it takes a few weeks. I order, forget about it - then a week or two later it arrives. If you want amazon speed then order from them and pay amazon prices. Wowhd is pretty much always cheaper than amazon - especially when they have discount codes.

Dealing with this business is like stepping into a time warp, outdated website, zero customer service sprinkled with some untruths just so long as they get your money.
Placed an order in AUD, they charged me in USD so I sent a cancellation request (no ability to cancel online) five minutes later.
24 hours later received a response that it was too late to cancel as order had already entered shipping stage but of course this was absolute BS, the order actually did not ship for another four days so ample time to cancel.
I've given up dealing with them, will refuse delivery of the parcel and deal with my credit card company to get my refund.
Just not worth the hassle to save a few dollars and before choosing another retailer, note that WOWHD is owned by DirectToU, LLC who own multiple online retailers so do your research to avoid falling into the same trap.
There are far better options out there.

Shipment notifications are contradictory, Royal Mail still haven't received it and this company's customer service is terrible, I received a bog standard email reply. The item was for an Xmas present which has now had to be re-bought. This is the first AND LAST time that I will use WOW HD UK. Remember guys 1st impressions count!!!!!
My first choice US import company
Good company when buying physical media. I buy most of my blurays/UHD from them when I can't find the titles within Europe and they never disappoints. Prices are good and tracked delivery!
AWFUL, AWFUL NON-CARING COMPANY!!
So I ordered some 4K films from this company that were not available to buy in the UK and when they arrived in the post, they were packaged in a cheap flimsy paper envelope and when I removed the films from the packaging they were both damaged and had been crushed during transit from America due to the inadequate packaging. I messaged WowHD and told them what had happened and they told me to explain what happened with photos which I spent time doing, but only got a short response back simply saying to return the films back with no explanation as to what happened or an apology. I had to wait a further month to get a response to find out where to send them back and took several more emails to finally get a refund. It's as if the person on the other end was enjoying making every email vague and asking for information I had already sent. Absolutely awful customer experience and a terrible non-caring company. They should not be allowed to operate a business like this and should be reported and shut down.

I bought Parasite on disc from them in mid 2020. Some months later I open it up to play to discover that inside it contains the movie Oblivion. Huh? I contact “customer services” and they say they will only refund me if I return the incorrectly sent disc - which I do. I hear nothing. When I query it they say they never receive it and insist on proof of postage, which I didn’t have. No refund. “We appreciate your continued business,” the last email said. Yet they essentially stole from me and accused me of lying. What are they smoking? Avoid like the plague.

I ordered a DVD in Nov 21 as a Christmas gift. Still not arrived and continually fobbed off by so called Customer Services... I would never use this company again.

Uploaded proof of return to email and was told to wait 5 business days for refund. NEVER RECEIVED IT so contacted customer service and same email came back saying wait for 5 business days NEVER RECEIVED IT again. Contacted them again. Same old automated email wait 5 business days to receive refund and guess what I NEVER RECEIVED THE REFUND.

Fantastic service from these guys, I paid the extra for expedited shipping from them as it was quite an expensive box set so I wanted that peace of mind, at only an extra £13 it was worth it imo!
Arrived just over one week later in perfect condition. One very happy new customer and I highly recommend this company.

Service that went an extra mile
I wanted to order something specific and it turned out only this site could deliver so, I signed up.....(insert issue).......I did not receive my registration email so I contacted their Facebook team as its the easiest way for me to get a quick response and it was quick.
over a couple of days, the team managed to sort out a way for me to confirm my registration and successfully order what I wanted.
I really appreciate the time they took to help and will return to add to this review once my item arrives (I was told 3-4 weeks due to current worldwide issues which I understand).

EDIT on 12/03/2021: Item arrived in mint condition after WowHD upgraded my delivery method to tracked as I missed the first bunch of preorders and they wanted to make sure I was not waiting over a month for my purchase.
Their Facebook staff had been in contact with me whilst I waited and I cannot recommend them enough.

My first order with WowHD was 2 criterion blu rays to the UK from USA. Great price. I paid for faster international shipping. I didn’t have a tracking number after a couple of days and it said it would take 8-15 days for delivery instead of 2-3 days for faster shipping. I contacted them and they realised they sent standard so will give refund for shipping once it arrives. It arrived in 11 days, one was scratched, they asked for a photo, I sent photo, they checked their stock, all fine and then they gave me the option of a refund or replacement. I took the replacement and I received it. Happy. Just don’t expect them to cancel an order once you’ve made it. I’m happy with them, they respond to all emails. Went back for more stuff.
No customer service!
Absolutely non-existent, hopeless customer service. I pre-ordered a bluray set that I then needed to cancel (still well before the release date). They refuse to answer any of my emails. Any company that doesn’t put any effort into customer service is NOT worth dealing with. Period.
