Absolutely great to work with
Absolutely great to work with. I had several bids for the move in just a few minutes. The movers listened well to all my feedback and insisted on me relaxing while they did all the work. They arrived early and had all the proper lifts and equipment to get the large items onto their truck. It was a delight and I will definitely use them again.

These guys did a really good job of…
Went with S&P Transport Ltd. for a moving truck. These guys did a really good job of moving one bedrooms’ worth of furniture and boxes. They had excellent communication making sure to call 20 minutes before arrival and were excellent at making sure all products stacked safely for travel from Auckland to Wellington. Unfortunately, I managed to have more than estimated and whilst sharing a truck with other deliveries this meant an extra charge of $200. This was completely understandable as they allocated based off what you send as an estimate. My advice to anyone booking would be to over estimate how much you will be bringing. Overall, really nice guys and super strong to help lift everything.

Very disappointing experience with Wise…
Very disappointing experience with Wise Move.
I was quoted NZ$620 even though the collection date and time had not yet been confirmed. After the seller finally confirmed the pickup time, I was told the price had to increase because the original quote was supposedly based on fitting my booking into the company's internal transport schedule. This explanation makes no sense, as no collection date existed when the quote was provided.
I had also provided all the details of the items to be transported from the beginning. Despite this, I was later told the load would not fit in a van and would require a truck, resulting in another price increase. This should have been identified before the quote was issued.
In the end, the original NZ$620 quote became NZ$1,150—almost double the price.
I found the service lacking in transparency, professionalism, and accountability. Customers should be able to rely on the quotes they are given without being forced to pay significantly more due to poor planning or incorrect vehicle assessment.
I cannot recommend Wise Move based on my experience.
Your reply is simply not true.
There were no changes to the collection date because no collection date had ever been confirmed before I provided the actual pickup date and time. From the very beginning, the two tracks were clearly listed in my original request and were also visible in the photos I sent. Claiming this information was provided later is false.
Accepting the revised price was not a choice. I had a scheduled trip and no time to find another transporter, leaving me with no realistic alternative.
The reality is that the company provided a low initial quote based on the assumption that my shipment could be combined with other deliveries on a date that suited its own internal schedule—not one that had ever been agreed with me. As soon as I confirmed the actual pickup date, the company changed the price dramatically and attempted to justify it with explanations that do not reflect what actually happened.
This experience was misleading, unprofessional, and resulted in excessive additional charges that I should never have been asked to pay.

We’re sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your experience, but we would like to clarify the circumstances surrounding the price changes.
Collection date:
Your original request listed 13 July as the collection date. When NZ Home Movers submitted the $620 quote on 11 July, they also stated in their message to you that it was for collection on 13 July and delivery on 14 July. You accepted the quote and said you're still waiting for the seller to confirm the time.
The seller did not confirm availability until the evening of 13 July and advised that collection would instead need to take place at 1 pm on 14 July. As this was a change from the date originally quoted, the carrier could no longer include the job in their planned backload and advised that a dedicated trip would cost $850. You agreed to proceed with the revised quote.
Vehicle and load requirements:
The written request described the individual bifold door panels and stated that they would be dismantled into separate panels (the first bifold door is about 6 panels, size 1.1m wide and 2.52 high and the second bifold door is made up of 5 panels, 84cm wide and 2.51 high). It did not mention that the additional beam or tracks were also included. The carrier brought a van that would fit the panels, but when they discovered that the load included 2 panel beams measuring 4.8m - 5m, they had to get their truck to fit the panel beams, hence they had to increase the quote.
We understand that you were unhappy with the revised prices. However, after reviewing the original request and full message history, the changes were not made without explanation. They resulted from the collection date changing after the quote was accepted, and additional components affecting the vehicle were required.

Found a very cheap quote and service was great. I only made contact 48 hours before the moving date and I changed the pick up time twice. They were very accomodating. They did most of the work even though I offered.
I had around 10 quotes within a few hours.
