Do not do it

Do not do it. Unless you want your valuable belongings damaged and carelessly thrown from truck to truck. They do not use the same truck to transport it to your new location and they throw everything. I have a $6,000 toolbox that is now useless because of the carelessness of the company droping it breaking the wheels, bending damaging the outer shell so bad you cannot open 2 drawrs and the box is no longer square it sits crooked so it is a fall hazard and the whole locking assembly to the box is no longer operational. Family heirlooms are now broken and trash beyond repair

run. don’t walk away from this company. shame on them, particularly Adriel, the manager. misleading. Don’t trust their pricing or the delivery dates. yes, they are a third party, but unlike other 3rd party agents, once you are scheduled, the communication stops. Unreliable and completely misleading info. Do NOT USE. shame on them.

BAIT AND SWITCH AND HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

This company provided us with a horrible customer service experience after we paid over $16,000 which we were only expected to pay $8000 and BRIGHTSDIE PERFORMED a bait and switched on us less than 12 hours before they were supposed to come and pick up our stuff. They tell you they're gonna call you 3 to 5 days as a compliance call and they never called they then say that they're going to call you 24 hours before drop off they gave us a 2 hour window on a Saturday morning before they dropped off our items. After further investigation we're missing multiple items from our move the follow up call about our situation they tried to offer us $650 and then Maya tried to turn around and offer me $750 because she provided horrible customer service and now they won't even respond back to us and we have items missing my 5 year old son is missing toys and we are missing personal items and this company will not respond!!!! ******DO NOT USE THEM*****

Great to Horrible

The experience started off great. Once the movers got to my home that’s when all the small details they did not go over start coming to light. Not only did my quote more than double they told me that I’d have my furniture within one to two days of my first delivery date. Well that got miscommunicated to their movers and now I get the run around when I call Brightside and no one from Express will return my calls. So now they took my money and my furniture and will not provide decent communication. I’m so frustrated and now they are telling me it could take a month to get my furniture. If you can do a move using a U-Haul then do it. I do not recommend this company.

Do not use a Broker

The final cost was $3200 more than what was quoted initially. Brightside will raise the price on quality assurance calls, and the movers will raise the price in person. Do not use this service.

We booked Southwest Van lines…

We booked Southwest Van lines throughout Bright Side, and these movers are top-notch. It was the absolute best experience I have ever had with a cross-country move, and I would highly recommend it. They were kind, fast, and extremely deliberate in moving important items that held sentimental value. Vit and Artur were incredible. 10/10 would recommend! Thank you!!

We had them move us from Florida to…

We had them move us from Florida to Virginia and we got a good price from them at first then we had to add this and that and I informed them a 18 wheeler wouldn’t make it up top of the mountains where we are and then all of a sudden we have a 18 wheeler down lower then there was another truck we had to pay to rent then the switched trucks and never strapped our stuff back down after switching trucks and them my 2000$ tool box was flipped over and destroyed drawers and 2 nightstands broke my refridge was cracked all the way around on the inside as well as dented up on the outside the load is insured for like 31000$ but I only would get .60 cents per pound so my 5000/6000 $ worth of damages I would get back maybe 900/1000$ which is BS and the charges went from about 3500 originally to almost 6000$by the time we got all of our broken stuff up here so do what you want but I would never trust this place to move anything ever again and I would strongly advise look somewhere else don’t fall for the stuff I went through then after all said and done I can’t even get a response from them so if it sounds to good to be true take it as it is just trust me don’t do it

Rude and childish

I called for a quote and their quote sounded too good to be true. I looked at reviews and there are some really bad ones. The next day, I got a text from him saying I wasted his time! It was my understanding that was his job. I wouldn't move with these guys if I was moving to Hades.

Really aggressive salespeople and shady…

Really aggressive salespeople and shady fee structure. I asked for a refund and cancellation and they all turned into 12-year-olds. They left me on hold, made multiple, unnecessary transfers I did not ask for, and literally texted me mocking my name after I was consistent about canceling. Bizarre behavior but I guess that’s normal. I worked with Nick Toto on the sale; he was aggressive and slightly weird. But the true toddler was Carl Charles, who thinks it’s funny to mock people just because they cancel the service.

Edit: Rather than grow up, they flagged this as defamatory, so I submitted the picture of them mocking my name to Trust Pilot. If this gets taken down, I’ll submit it elsewhere. Glad to know the whole company is full of infants. Makes a lot of sense.

Real Big Bummer

I used this company the first time I moved. Great. The second time, they dropped the ball left and right. Made my already stressful move a nightmare. Carl from customer service was nice but didn't follow through. Maya got on the phone and was a complete won't-say-the-word. Would not recommend, and will definitely not use again. Ultimately, they agreed to honoring a certain cubic square footage yet couldn't confirm anything with the moving company. Way too much of a hassle with very little help. Try them, but don't be surprised when you're disappointed.

UPDATE AFTER RESPONSE: No, it didn't. You failed to document the inventory, so that was an internal error. Just call it what it is.

This “moving company” is a scam

This “moving company” is a scam. They quote you a low amount and you have to pay 2x more on the day of moving.
They get so many complaints just go on Yelp and not this website.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! My 80 year old mother had to move from out of state due to the devastation to her home from the hurricanes. They quoted her 10k to pack and move her house. The day came to move her, she added some extra totes and they added an extra 15k to her move!! "X Van Lines" was the moving company. They dropped and broke several items, broke a ceiling light and then demanded a cash tip from her. All of her items on her inventory list were not even loaded. They left all of her patio furniture, couches, pictures, and several boxes. This is a very short version of the whole ordeal. Its elder abuse!! Avoid being taken advantage of. Do not use these people or X Van Lines.

Find another moving company! Don’t ignore the reviews like me

Find another mover don’t be like me who ignored the previous reviews! When I first booked with this money hungry company they ensured me that my price would not go up for anything and only if I added more things which I didn’t. They purposely added medium size boxes to my inventory and forced me to quickly sign so that I wouldn’t notice and I confirmed all the sizes with them twice. They lied about everything we spoke of! When they called a few days prior to pick up to confirm my items, I actually took out a few items and was still charged $500 extra for box sizes on purpose . My payment was supposed to be $3,400. The day the movers came I was charged anothet extra $1,800 more just for packing materials and all my things were already PROPERLY packed WITH BUBBLE WRAP PLASTIC WRAPS AND BLANKETS. They still found ways to ask for more money. And re did the same wrappings me and my boyfriend already did but worst . This company is very dishonest disrespectful and should be shut down! At total of $5,600 for what?? I didn’t have a living room set! No dining except a table in my dining room, 26 boxes 2beds and dresser and tv with small stands. No one should have to deal with this. 3 days prior to my delivery I called the owner to change my delivery date he promised to do so and a day before delivery the drivers called to come deliver my things next day, when I called Anthony back he clearly told me we never spoke and that if he puts my items in storage it would cost too much and the paper clearly states 30 days storage free of charge and we went over this multiple times. Now my items are not set up because I had to book my own storage, 2 of my tvs is broken I caught the driver standing on one of them. 5 of my boxes are destroyed and I don’t see the parts to my bed. Joe Carl Daniel Natalie and Ant are all in on this scam and it’s not right! Don’t let them tell you prices only change based on items being added that is false! They add their own prices so that they can make their money because that’s the only way they can make a few extra bucks! 50 items for this much $ , and when the movers come to deliver they to also want more money . They will come with giant 18 wheeler trucks and want you to pay more for walking fees as well not just shuttle .

If you want your things tied to the back of the truck

Small move, so I was prepared to be flexible. Sold on professionalism and no added fees. The pick-up date changed three times, and we accommodated each change. My mom, who was helping on the pick-up end, was rattled, so I refused a discount. Movers were MIA on the day they said our things would be delivered. They showed up two days later, changed the arrival time three times, and our things WERE NOT EVEN IN THE TRUCK! They had wrapped all of our things in tarps, placed them on the lift, and strapped them to the back of the truck. Thankfully, the only significant damage was to a wheel on piece of exercise equipment that can be replaced. But ... I did expect for our things to be transported IN a truck. And the price, of course, wound up being higher than the estimate. This was because we had a few more cubic feet than estimated. However, I didn't know that I was paying for cubic feet outside the truck. Not cool.

I would like to put zero stars

I would like to put zero stars. My experience was that as soon as I paid my deposit I could not reach that salesperson again. Next salesperson said my price doubled when we went through my inventory. I was told I could pay $7000 for 3/4 of a truck; or, for an additional $2000, have 100% of the truck which meant my things would come directly to my location and would not leave the truck. I have been here for 2 weeks. They have not delivered my belongings. They told me they are in a warehouse many states away. They will not address the $2k and did not put it in writing. Upon further research I am one of MANY who is completely dissatisfied and who believes this company is dishonest. I am hoping to file a class action so that others are spared this nightmare

Everything went wrong

Everything went wrong. The lack of communication and lack of transparency about pricing and moving times was frustrating. Some of it was the salesman pitch not matching the contract and on us for not catching it. But when they loaded our items on March 31st they said it would likely be the following Monday “about a week” which was longer than the salesman said “4days” but still a reasonable time frame. A week later no one would inform us about what was going on, then it was one false estimate after another. Our stuff finally arrived today at 5pm, 18 business days later, on a semi which we learned meant it was transferred a number of times before getting to us-not disclosed or if it was not clear at all. And while our stuff did arrive there were no movers to unload it. They just didn’t show up. They didn’t think the semi could make it up our drive so on top of it taking three and a half weeks to arrive, my husband had to go rent a uhaul to transfer our things to unload, by himself. They took $200 off for that major inconvenience which hardly seems like an appropriate amount. We paid for movers and got none so the least convenient move I could imagine short of shipping each item one at a time.
