It was good up to about 3 hrs into it, then when we decided not to do it we were both berated by the sales person that we were dealing with, up to the time we said no, very unprofessional language, and putting us down as well as wasted his time. Would love to talk to management about this totally uncalled for derating of us.

I only went with the intentions of getting a couple of free passes for the events in Pigeon Forge. Shame on me right? 😜

Was told it would be a 90 mins presentation, which turned into 4 hours! I went into the presentation knowing it was a scam. What I didn’t know is these clowns are truly highly trained scam professionals! The price for a 2 bedroom went from $800 a month ($100k) to $200 a month ($11,500) 🤣. I told them I needed to think about it and do my research and I would need at least a day. Of course I was lying.. I knew this was not allowed. They gave me pure h*ll about it. Attempted to make me feel as if something was wrong with me.

These clowns are predators. Please I beg if you are considering their “deal of a lifetime” say NOOOOO!

Did I get the free passes? Yes! But it was pure torture 😭 You say no, they let you set for a few and here comes somebody else with some darn new “ numbers” At this point I feel like a “Survivor ” Surviving the Westgate. Timeshare Scam!

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER-don’t go there unless you are an owner or ready to buy something. They treat you LIKE crap if you are none of the above. You pay for everything under the sun. They took me in this thing to buy a timeshare, promised me a $150 gift card and food and told me 90 minutes. They kept me for 3 hours didn’t give me the gift card or the food. Kept holding me trying to make deals. I KEPT telling these criminals that I was leaving early in the morning and I wanted my son to get the full experience before we left. They kept trying to give me deals. I told we did not eat and I wanted to take my son to the waterpark before leaving. They wouldn’t compensate me for holding me all that time and I had to pay $50 for the water park for 1 hour. One of the sellers told me he had 4 kids so he understands but told me unless I buy, I couldn’t get anything compensated. Stressful, my stay was ok until that!

I would leave no stars if I could they put you in this 90 minute meeting which is the last over six hours pressuring you to buy buy buy but you tell them no and it continues. You just need to get up and walk out and don’t sign anything. I made the mistake and decide to blank piece of paper. They forged my name to a contract which I fought and won. Just don’t sign anything because they will forge your name to a contract. Westgate, you should be ashamed of yourself.!

In September 2023, I was approached on the Las Vegas Strip by a Westgate representative who promised free lunch, gift cards, and show tickets for attending a "no-pressure" 90-minute presentation. What followed was over 7 hours of relentless, high-pressure sales tactics on the last day of my vacation.

The representative began contacting me on my personal cell phone and social media before the presentation, sending pictures of himself and inappropriate messages. During the sales pitch, I declined at least 10 times. I was then told not to disclose that my husband wasn't present, as it would "ruin the deal”. I later learned this made the sale illegal. A manager went so far as to accuse me of not valuing myself when I tried to decline.

We were promised Disney resort exchanges, VIP park tickets, and cruise access, none of which have materialized. We were told there was no cancellation period, which directly contradicts our contract. Had anyone been honest about the 5-day rescission window, we would have used it immediately.

After spending over $12,500, we have never been able to use this timeshare. Availability is nonexistent, fees were misrepresented, and customer service is completely inept. We've made every payment on time and received nothing in return.

We are formally requesting full termination of contract and a complete refund. This company engages in deceptive, predatory, and potentially illegal sales practices. Buyer beware.

Beware of booking through West Gate.. they are charging me $336 dollars for a one night visit, when someone else I know booked the same room through a different website and only paid $180 for the SAME room. I tried to call and cancel within the same hour of booking and they told me it was too late to do so, and that the cancellation fee would be over $200. How does that even make sense? Asked for a price match or discount and they couldn't even do that either. Absolutely ridiculous, but clearly they don't care about their reviews or customers anyways.

My husband and I were flat-out lied to from the start. We were asked to attend a meeting in exchange for a vacation discount. That "one hour" became a nearly 3-hour psychological beatdown designed to break us. They threw prices at us — $79,000, then $70,000, then $15,000 — refusing to take no for an answer. We said no over and over until we were so mentally exhausted. That's not sales. That's manipulation.

Then we find out the $15,000 we agreed to costs $31,390.80 to pay off. MORE THAN DOUBLE. Hidden in the fine print they rushed us through. We tried to confront our sales agent about this — couldn't reach her. Shocking.

And it didn't stop there. Months later they dragged us into another meeting — another 5 to 6 hours of the same predatory tactics. This time they had the nerve to tell us that the unit we already paid for no longer existed and our contract was invalid. Then they tried forcing a three-bedroom unit on us, repeating "you have no choice" like a broken record. We said no for hours infuriated that what we paid into all along doesn’t exist. And again, manipulated to sign.

Oh, and that unit? Only accessible every other year — but you pay every single year. An absolute disgrace. Westgate doesn't sell vacations. They exploit people until they break. We will be pursuing every legal avenue available to us. DO NOT give these people a single dollar. These people are scam artists and hide behind their contracts.

Worst customer service. DON"T BUY anything from this place. 12 to 15 hours to get checked in after paying thousands to be an owner. Screw this place

I was hired to promote them on my blog and they never paid me for my work. Do not trust them.

We have been owners for well over 15 years and we have paid ALOT of money over the years. Every time we book rooms, or check in, there is always some issue. We either do not get the building we own in, or they've split us up and we aren't together. Their website was misleading about specials available this month, and when I called about their lack of attention to a Terms of Service, the "Manager" told me to lower my voice after I had tried to resolve it through CS chat online. I spent two hours trying to get it resolved only to be told "too bad". I wish I had NEVER bought in to this place.
Vacations are meant to be relaxing, but I find myself tense and upset EVERY SINGLE TIME we use it.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Just took the time share tour said it would be 90 minutes and it took up four hours of our days. Most definitely not worth the free gifts. What a scam. Super uncomfortable

Westgate Resorts is a terrible company that uses aggressive sales tactics to get you to buy there timeshares. I’m 3 yrs in one and wishing to god I could get out. The only way out for me they said is I have to find someone to take over my timeshare willingly lol. I’ve made multiple phone calls to lawyers. Once I find the right one I don’t mind spending money to stick it to this company.

My father was supposed to rent a unit in this building for a one-week trip to Hawaii. While traveling with me in Vietnam, he was diagnosed with pneumonia and admitted to the hospital. His rental for this unit was booked through Westgate resorts. He was to arrive at the unit February 24th, on the 22nd of February. He was admitted to a hospital here in Vietnam with pneumonia. I was able to contact Westgate resorts on the morning of February 23rd. They informed me that since he was within the check-in window and the cancellation was taking place less than 72 hours, the best they could accommodate was to offer him one week to rebook time to stay at this location.I was told if He did not rebook a stay at the location within one week. He would forfeit the entire amount. I became upset and while. I did use foul language and told the rep on the phone I found this to be entirely unacceptable as his diagnosis of pneumonia was a completely unforeseen and uncontrollable event. I was told again he only had the one week window to rebook a stay at the property. I then tried to appeal by email showing his admission paperwork to the hospital in an email from the doctor. I was told that because of my actions they would take my 's father's money and the one week window to rebook was forfeit . While I accept that my actions were less than admirable , I would not recommend anyone to stay at this location booking through Westgate resorts as they kept $2,400 of my father's money. Their cancellation policy is completely unacceptable

I stayed at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort as part of an owners’ weekend (4 days / 3 nights), which included a required 90-minute presentation regarding a potential upgrade to my existing ownership.

Initially, the presentation was fine, and I was open to the information being shared. However, once I mentioned that I am currently in the process of purchasing a home, the concierge assisting us, Samantha, displayed a noticeable and immediate change in attitude. Despite my attempt to explain that I would be open to discussing an upgrade after closing on my home, she became dismissive and increasingly unprofessional toward both my wife and me.

During the interaction, Samantha repeatedly attempted to take paperwork out of my hands and made unwanted physical contact by grabbing my hand. When I stood up to remove myself from the situation, she continued approaching me in a manner that made me uncomfortable and felt confrontational. I ultimately had to get the attention of another employee in order to leave the area. That employee escorted me out while I explained what had occurred.

Unfortunately, the situation escalated further when Samantha approached me again, demanding a pen back. This was a standard Westgate pen, readily available throughout the resort. She then proceeded to use profanity toward me and continued to harass me before finally leaving.

I requested to speak with a manager at that time and was told that one was not available on-site. A manager did not attempt to contact me until the morning of my checkout—approximately 48 hours after the incident—at which point I was already waiting for valet service. The only request made was for me to complete a comment card, which felt dismissive given the seriousness of the situation.

As an owner with Westgate, I found this experience deeply disappointing and unacceptable. The conduct displayed during this sales presentation was aggressive, unprofessional, and crossed personal boundaries. Due to this experience, I am extremely unlikely to stay at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort again.

I believe owners and guests should be aware that when approached by staff offering a “welcome gift,” refusal may not be respected, and the interaction may become uncomfortable or confrontational.

This experience does not reflect the level of service I expect as an owner, and I hope it is addressed appropriately.

I have been a resort owner for over 10 years but unable to use the time when we needed the most. Very disappointed!

Please read this before attending a Westgate timeshare presentation. It is an enormous scam that will take up far more than the promised “90 minute” timeframe. We were trapped for over five hours!

Their sales tactics are a relentless, high pressure approach. You will be told that your time share purchase opportunity is a now or never situation. You will also be bombarded with paper drawings, numbers and empty promises, all without any time for investigation. Should you have the nerve to ask to speak privately, the sales person will hover nearby and watch you for verbal and nonverbal cues.

YOU CAN CANCEL A CONTRACT-
In the event that you find yourself pressured into a sale, be aware that at closing you will receive a back pack, which contains a tablet and also a sealed envelope in an inside pocket. The sealed envelope contains a Time Share Notice of Cancellation form, which will NOT be disclosed to you during the closing process. You should sign and date this notice of cancellation. Send a cover letter with the notice that states your intention to cancel. List the contract number, location of the timeshare and amount of down payment in the letter. Send the cover letter and signed notice of cancellation by overnight mail. The mailing address is listed on the notice of cancellation. Be sure to request a proof of delivery, so you’ll have signed verification that the documents were received.

Lead to believe we were being approached to get a new unit/week when they were trying to sell foreclosed unit/weeks.

Westgate Resorts was okay. The place looked nice and had good amenities, but the experience didn’t fully live up to the hype. Staff was friendly but things could have been handled better and with a smile. Just an average stay. We ended up falling for the time share and purchasing one. They gave us a hard time to use it and for that I wouldn’t recommend West Gate. Thankfully we hired a company to get us out of the contract so we don’t have to deal with them anymore.

I stayed at the Westgate Resort for a business conference at the convention center. I spent almost all my time in the conferences and came back to my room only to sleep. I checked out of my room with no walkthrough. Two weeks later I received my credit card statement and found they charged my card a random amount of $1,500. It must have been a fraudulent transaction. I figured it was a deposit the forgot to refund. I called my CC company and filed a fraudulent claim to have it removed. After 3 months, I received notice from my CC company that the Westgate Resort reported that their "housekeeping" department discovered a broken TV and that the charge was valid for "incidentals". Now, keep in mind I don't watch TV and if I did and it wasn't working, I would have reported it to the front desk. Notwithstanding, any random charges should be verified by photos, documents, some sort of "proof" that if I was the person that allegedly damaged their TV and that the not surprisingly exact cost was the $1,500 incidental charge, someone should have notified me rather than scamming my card. I tried working with my CC company and they refused to credit me back saying that they had no grounds to do so even though I contacted their supervisors in their fraud division.
As of now, I am filing a small claims lawsuit against the Westgate Resort for a refund plus more for the trouble. Word to the wise. This resort is a TOTAL scam! It's not the first time they tried to scam my card. They tried it back in February at another conference I attended there. The only reason I booked a room there was because I could walk to the convention center. Folks, Las Vegas and always was a scamming city. I will never go back there for any conferences no matter what and look forward to keeping my money close to my side. NEVER EVER book a room at the Westgate Resort. Trust me. If you like your money, stay somewhere else. That place is literally and utterly a scamming place!

Promises made during the presentation proved false—availability I was assured of didn't exist, and "free weeks" I could supposedly gift to friends were misleading. Since purchasing, I've been bombarded with up to seven calls daily despite requesting they stop, constant emails, and additional sales pitches. The product itself is unusable for my actual travel needs and represents a financial obligation I never truly wanted or understood.
This experience epitomizes everything wrong with timeshare ownership: deceptive sales practices, high-pressure tactics, false promises, and a product that fails to deliver on what was sold. I strongly caution anyone considering a timeshare purchase to avoid this company and this industry entirely.
