This community is absolutely unreal! What a fantastic idea to start with, but to execute it all in the way Lydia has is just brilliant.
I joined at probably the lowest point of my last few years and the girls in this group picked me up within minutes. The fact that the whole idea is based around kindness was really important to me as, unfortunately, you just don't get enough kindness in the world nowadays. I was worried this would turn out to not be 100% true - I was so wrong! These women are wonderful!
We laugh, we cringe, we give and take advice, and most importantly, truly support each other.
There's no pressure - you can watch the groups for a bit before committing to a event, but please do not be shy of the events, everyone is great. My confidence is through the roof - never in my life did I think I'd be cool going out by myself on a Sunday morning to meet a bunch of people I hadn't met before.
It's also making me do things I ordinarily wouldn't think of doing thanks the suggestions by the other girls, so it's giving me new experiences I would otherwise not have had.
Have to disagree with the previous review stating 'false positivity' - that was actually a worry of mine on joining as I hate that! But is is not like that at all! And any adult knows you're never going to make best friends with everyone - that isn't what this group promises. And no one could keep up with hundreds of best friends anyway!
What this group does promise is support, fun, and some really great events, filled with kind hearted girls. And you will meet actual friends if you're open to the experience and being a true kind girl!
If you've been considering it and putting it off - seriously, just join us! :) We'll be waiting for you with a big welcome and ready to hear your successes and support you through your harder times!

I recently joined WeGotYouBoo and looked for events near me to join. There are LOADS of opportunities to meet people all around the UK and plenty of events near me to join. I went on one of the Lake District hikes recently and it was one of the most uplifting and loveliest days I've ever had! I met loads of really genuine and lovely women who have the same interests as me and are very easy to get along with. The walk was well thought out (great views and an opportunity to have a dip by the waterfalls!), it was dog friendly so people could bring their furry friends, and the weather was gorgeous. Finished off with a delicious meal in Ambleside...the day was organised brilliantly and I cannot wait to join another event again.
When I first joined WeGotYouBoo, I was so impressed with how easy it was to talk to people through the app and to join groups of people with similar interests. Plus, the organiser, Lydia, is always available if you have any questions or need some extra support. I would thoroughly recommend anyone who wants to meet new people/try something new to join this group!

Using the platform is so easy. I was chatting away in the groups in no time. And the meet-ups are brilliant, so many opportunities to join! Cosy coffee hangs to stunning hikes in the Lake District, every event I’ve been to has been so well organised, fun and everyone so nice!

But the best part is the community feel and vibes. Everyone I met was so genuinely warm and welcoming and friendly. It felt like I'd known them for ages.

If you're looking to make new friends and have new experiences, WeGotYouBoo is the best. You won't regret it!

I recently joined the community after nervously debating it for a couple of months and now I'm wondering why it took me so long! Everyone in the group chats have been so welcoming and supportive that by the time I went to my first meet up this weekend, I wasn't even nervous, just excited. I already have some more meet ups booked in and can't wait to book more! I cannot recommend this lovely community more.

Look, this is a balanced take on the group.
It is as described, focused on positivity and kind/nice interactions, although sometimes this can manifest itself in what is known as"toxic positivity" (one example being that you are discouraged from expressing frustrations over refunds or the new app which is difficult to use for some). The community could be a safe space to vent from time to time within boundaries. I have even seen statements that negative comments will be removed. you need to be careful what you say at all times.
I'd also like to be honest about this group, it is in fact very organised and the ambassadors and owner are great and hard working and invested. The concept is amazing and you do meet so many people you cannot keep up. You will not make friends through this group more than you will on other groups/chats/channels/apps and it all depends on luck.
Yes, you will meet the same people more than once, yes, you can make a connection, and maybe go on a nice weekend trip or dinner together, but I have yet to see anyone make solid friendships and a lot of members really like to stick to the group chats to fill their time and are very flaky when it comes to going out.
Those who do go to the nice events are not that friendly all the time, depends who you are paired up with. I have found the interactions forced and it feels like you are being judged over how fun you are, how old you are and usually you take a nice pic and then go home and never speak again. This can sometimes feel more demoralizing than being by yourself.
This is an honest review, again it's great to enrich your social life and go out but keep your expectations at 0.

I joined this group a week ago and already have 3 things booked in the diary for the summer and many more things planned.
The groups are so lovely. Women encouraging women.
Sweet interactions and lots of helpful non judgey advice. Have my first meet up this weekend in the lakes and I can't wait to make some new friends.

I joined We Got You Boo to attend their Lake District retreat and catch up with a friend I’d not seen in a while. Well…wow! An amazing weekend of women empowering and supporting women and I not only caught up with an old friend but made some amazing new friends too!
A super supportive network of women from all walks and stages of life. I can’t recommend it enough to women looking to make new friends, business connections etc.

This is one of my favorite girl groups ever. As an African woman, I’m happy to connect with so many king women from all over the world! There’s no judgement, we get to share about almost everything, it’s a safe space. Many have shared critical life moments for example after quitting jobs, breaking up with partners as well as successes. Many women get to share what they do, some even get clients and generally friends.
One of my favorites is the monthly speed dating call where we get to connect, update each other and have a good time!

I've been part of this group for nearly a year after coming across their page on Instagram. Since then, I've been able to connect to like-minded women who are supportive, always ready to uplift you and give you advice. It has felt effortless. The monthly sisterhood speed-dating is a favourite.

I've also been fortunate enough to join their first retreat this year. I'd never been on retreat before, let alone with people I didn't really know and it has left me buzzing for the next one! The weekend was full of wholehearted fun, so much laughter and creativity. It felt like I'd know the girls for ages.

Couldn't recommend this group enough. For life, business or just general friendship, it's a beautiful community.

So well organised by Lydia, such a great group of women and so helpful!! Also the Lake District week-end was honestly one of the best experiences this year!
