Absolute joke of a company. Sent a Samsung S23 Ultra in, long process time and then to be told it was only with £60 due to being heavily damaged. Requested they returned me the device, then sold the exact same phone to Envirophone for £210 and was paid the same day. Con artists attempting to be a trustworthy genuine company.

Promise high, deliver low. Absolute cowboy outfit

Took screenshots of all the prices being offered for my phone in the various conditions listed. Sent it off as "good" (which it was), they took a video and knocked me down to "pretty good" but offered me less than they were offering me before if the phone was "average", I queried this and sent them screenshots of the quotes and they said it was pretty good but they were making deductions from the price for other issues. When I asked for a breakdown of these deductions I was refused.

It takes 30 minutes for someone to join the chat help and more for the phone to be answered despite advertised wait times of 5-10 minutes. I asked to put in a complaint and was initially refused until I asked for the man's name. I was told I wouldn't get a better price anywhere else.

I was then told someone would call me back today at 12. Having received no callback I sat on the chat and phone hold for over 30Mins again to be told on the chat a manager would call me back within the hour... nearly 3 hours later I am still waiting.

No transparent pricing, incredibly difficult to get hold of to refuse the offer (you can just click one button to accept but have to sit on hold to refuse). So much for the honest pricing about offering the best possible price, as soon as I challenged the price they offered me £10 more .. (after cutting me down by £150). So this clearly shows they are not offering the "best possible price" on the first offer.

I found the initial process of obtaining a quote really good but then from an initial offer of £415 they actually gave me £285 when there was not a mark on it and it was clear this was the case from their video. This phone had been in a case with screen protector from new and not a mark! To be honest I think this is how they get people to send with a higher offer and then as customers dont want the hassle of the returning it and paying again to send - a drop of £130! Think it is very underhand but then promised payment in 24 hrs and after chasing after 3 days was told there was a problem with the payment file and was being sent again!

Very disappointing experience with Webuyanyphone.

I was originally offered £465 for my phone on their website, which is why I decided to send it to them. However, once they received the phone, the offer suddenly dropped to £365, even though the phone was in the condition I described.

When I refused the lower offer and asked for my phone back, I was told I had to pay £8.95 for the return. I was also informed that the return insurance only covers up to £150 unless you pay extra. If you want the phone to be insured for its real value, you have to pay more for insurance up to £750.

Another issue is that I sent the phone with a protective cover and a screen protector, but when the phone was returned to me, those items were missing.

Overall, the whole process felt misleading and very frustrating. Offering a high price to get you to send the phone and then reducing the offer after they receive it does not seem fair. I would advise people to be very careful before using this service. I will be also reporting this experience to Citizens advice so that the issue can be reviewed.

Never again. Got a quote a few weeks ago which wasn’t enough to make me sell. Then got an email saying my phone was in demand and my offer had increased. I decided to sell on that basis. Checked the condition against the provided info and selected good. Only to then have £135 knocked off it for its condition. I had also used an extra £10 code which doesn’t seem to have been factored into the revised quote at all. To actually retrieve th revised offer they make you watch a video of the quality which I still think doesn’t show satisfactory condition. The phone number was busy so I accepted it because I couldn’t be bothered to argue and needed the money today. It said if you accept the offer before 2pm it’ll be in your bank account same day. I accepted at 1:39pm. Hours later I’ve had a message saying payment is processed and it’ll be received within 24 hours - that’s not same day and it’s not in my account. Honestly feel completely ripped off. They make it difficult to contact and challenge, they have removed the discount code I used to get extra £10 and I think they have low balled the offer as I’m now seeing had I stuck on the phone I could have gotten more. How can you say you pride yourselves on being honest but give a customer this kind of experience?

Usual big company tactics offer a good price then went they receive it knock it down by half ..got a better price from a local phone shop..plus no answer when you phone them.

strongly advise against trading in your phone with this company. They initially offer a high quote, which seems appealing. However, after you send your phone, the process becomes frustratingly slow they can take weeks just to receive and assess it.
Once they finally inspect your device, they significantly lower the offer, often claiming there are scratches or other issues that weren’t previously mentioned. The final price ends up being far below the original quote, making the whole experience disappointing and misleading.
Overall, it feels like a bait-and-switch tactic, and I would not recommend using their service.

I recently sent them my iPhone in immaculate condition, I was quoted £335 then they offered me peanuts saying phone past every test but is was showing signs of wear. Then they offered a £5 goodwill. Still £100 short. There communication leaves a lot to be desired. Avoid and shop elsewhere

offered £270, items was received and review, condition was down graded from good to average and i was offered £120. asked to have the phone returned which i had to pay £10.75. same with another handset offered £120. condition changed from good to average price changed to £10. laughable really.

In a matter of an hour or so I received the confirmation for my payout!

Awful customer service. Sent off a fully functioning phone well packaged and they say it’s got a load of faults. This happened to me before and I put it down to delivery damage and accepted a low offer. Not this time. Asked for it to be returned back to me and they ask ME to pay for this? I’m appalled by their customer service. Do. Not. Use.

Amended the offer by a significant amount, phoned the agent and he was helpfully adjusted the offer to a new acceptable amount.

In spite of having a drastically reduced offer for my phone, the service on the chat function was prompt.
