Brandon the rep was very courteous, however I believe that my vehicle was worth more being that they are going to sell it for much more than they paid me for it!!! I did love the process and how easy it was to make the transaction! I can give a better review once the check clears 😊

Good, but could be better if not great.
I went with webuyanycar.com because they initially gave me the best and HIGHEST amount possible for my car when I gave them my info online. They were higher than Carvana and CarMax initially.
This was not the case upon arrival. As soon as I let the main employee drive my car, he low balled me from $3,300 down to $500 and then $900 upon the first initial assessment.
To say I was INSULTED and taken back would be an understatement. I almost left right there. Then he started to come up. After some minor arguments, disagreements and telling him that I have offers from Carvana and CarMax for much higher in the $2k range he came up telling me stories about how my check engine light would bring the price down.
So, you mean to tell me sir that if YOUR COMPANY’S website gives an offer where I mention the check engine light but it starts and runs okay yet once you touch it, drive it and run your OBD2 meter on it that, without any indication in your website that your company does this, you can take away and decrease any offer by up to 75%!?!? You lose a whole star for that misleading deviation from the estimate. I’m still bothered by it.
You may call it business tactics but it’s dishonest, misleading and proves you don’t care about customers, just a good deal because my car was RARE and getting harder to find. I know this and so do you.
Eventually we settle on a somewhat reasonable amount because I was gonna to have to wait a week for Carvana unfortunately and then CarMax was slow to respond. I mentioned this info to main employee and he still kept trying to lowball his offer.
Honestly, he should have stopped talking when I signed the papers.
To tell me, “If it makes you feel any better, I don’t want to pay this for that car.” Dude, stop. You’re not helping and it’s upsetting me even more but I still wasn’t taking another star away from this final rating just yet.
What makes me take the second star away finalizing this overall rating was the last comment before I left.
The arrogant, overjoyed way he told me to come back to him in 10-15 years and sell him my new car and to come back and sell him any car at any time left me with a feeling that he TOTALLY just took advantage of me.
It’s okay though because I think Karma came after him as he mentioned the other car he bought in the garage wouldn’t start and he couldn’t figure out why.
3 stars because the process was relatively quick and easy after the argument turned agreement.
This place has so much potential but they need to treat customers BETTER with their offers.

With respect to the online valuation, this is an estimate based on information you choose to share with us about the vehicle. Reviewing the information you provided on 1/2/2024 at 3:35 PM, I do see that you disclosed an earlier accident, but did not mention issues like the check engine light and traction control light. These options are available online and will be taken into account in the online estimate when disclosed by the customer.
As you note, there were multiple mechanical faults with the Subaru. Like any professional buyer, we do check the vehicle's diagnostic systems and it revealed the following issues:
P0021 "A" Camshaft Position - Timing Over-Advanced or System Performance Bank 2
P0031 HO2S Heater Control Circuit Low Bank 1 Sensor 1
P0300 Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected
P0303 Cylinder 3 Misfire Detected
The diagnostic checks we ran also revealed that the Subaru had been driven for 1,683 miles with the check engine light illuminated. We're happy to provide a copy of the reports for full transparency.
Regardless of whether you sell to webuyanycar.com, CarMax or Carvana, we all use the same diagnostic tools and will reduce the valuation if there are undisclosed faults.
We do have to take into account the overall condition of the vehicle when we make an offer and I'm pleased to see our Branch Manager was able to work with the team at corporate to get you an offer you were happy to accept. We operate a zero-pressure policy and our team is careful to ensure every customer is happy with the offer before cutting a check.
The condition of the vehicle is beyond our control, but the customer service experience is totally on us and clearly we fell short of our own standards here. That is not acceptable.
