I just won their DietBet 4% in 4 weeks challenge and this greedy company kept ALL the profits. Their management fee is not enough for them, they kept all the profits. I won my challenge but LOST money. And they make you go through a whole rigmarole to get your “winnings”, a process where they keep your money for an extra week.
Honestly this is one of those just severely underrated apps. There are few apps that’s can motivate me to be active and healthy, but this app does it—and it’s done that through the amazing community that it provides. As someone who has struggled to find those communities and support groups, WayBetter is a true life-savior. I love this app!!!
Update: Waybetter support finally sent me a link--significantly past their 24 hour promised period--and I did get my payout. They still continue the other dubious practices that prolong the time they can keep winners' money (time value of money).
When I first joined & won games, I could just request payout and double enter my PayPal address. Then they changed the rules (saying it was for "security" but it's no more secure) to make it take longer so they can keep that money longer. Ask for payout, and they say they will send the verifying email within 24 hours. I have waited over 3 days now--no email, no verification, no payout. I contacted support. They told me in great detail how to look for the email. I already told them I did not receive it (yes, I searched, including in spam), and they will not send it. So they are continuing to keep my money which they are legally required to pay out to me based on their own rules. This is financial exploitation on the part of WayBetter, Inc. designed to prolong their use of money that is no longer rightfully theirs.
