Best place in Bury
I went on Friday after reading reviews and had the best breakfast and coffee I've ever had before.
Not only that. I was extended a very kind turn on Sunday and decided to repay forward. Wax and Beans helped to do so by welcoming a person in the same situation I found myself in many years ago and needed help from strangers too.
I practice faith and don't know if the owners do too, but they truly helped a person in the same situation I was once in 20+ years ago.
Not only the best coffee and breakfast to be found but a welcoming opening community spirit venue hard to find in today's world.
Thank you and God bless. Top stars and I trust more people will visit and post positive experiences.
A lovely environment, great food and the best coffee (coming from a major bean snob) I cannot fault and thank you for showing a person down, that we do live in a world where people who like to help others still exist.
Please help support this local business? They help represent the best of Bury. Top marks on Food and Service. I will definitely visit again and truly recommend xx

Very quick and friendly service
Was tracking down a new release album yesterday, and found it on wax and beans. Ordered immediately yesterday, and arrived today! 😊. Little ‘Cheers’ note in the packaging. It’s the little things that count. First order but by no means my last. Thank you.

Fantastic little coffee shop!
We popped in yesterday for a brew and bite to eat. As there was 5 of us we found seating upstairs, the staff were really attentive and took the time not only to take our orders but have a quick chat too. We ordered scone, bacon butty and nachos, the chef was told the nachos where to share, and separated the chilli from the top and gave us 3 extra bowls to make it easier, which I thought was really thoughtful. The food was all homemade and simply delicious!!!! Coffee was good too! The background music was good and was not too loud so that you can still have a good natter.
After eating we went downstairs and, again the member of staff took the time to help me find a record I’d been looking for… thank you for a great experience, absolute gem in Bury, well worth a visit

Went on a very busy day while comicon was on in Bury. There was a large ish group of us so they found us seating upstairs. The staff and owner where excellent and really attentive considering how busy it was. We even met their shop dog Luna. They told us there might be a more than normal wait for food due to how busy it was, but that was fine and the food was well worth waiting for - Amazing quality and amazing value. The coffee is without doubt the best I've had in Bury and I even came away with an amazing hip hop record that I've been after for a while. Would highly recommend. Thank you Wax and Beans

I have been using this Cafe Bar since it first opened opposite the Bus Station. Went in today and ordered two cooked breakfasts. We had to wait which did not bother us as nice to see it busy.Sadly the breakfast was below expectation. The hash browns were undercooked, not crispy and were stringy. The bacon wasn't cooked properly, white residue all over the bacon. Sausages OK, eggs OK, Tom's not cooked properly. Mushrooms luke warm. We ordered toast which was plonked on top of my beans so was soggy .... overhaul, very disappointed as the food is always very good. A little bit of care and attention to detail wouldn't go amiss. Sorry 😞

Hi Joanne. Many thanks for taking the time to provide us with a review and feedback. We really value feedback to enable us to continuously improve the way we work and the food we produce. We work extremely hard to constantly provide good service, which is reflected by our high score across review platforms and are disappointed to see your experience was below this threshold - we are really sorry that you have experienced anything but a 5*. We take great pride in the quality of our produce (sourcing locally from butchers, greengrocers and farms) and our chefs take great care in our presentation. Our delivery team also routinely check food produced by the kitchen before delivering to our customers. I’m sorry we appear to have let you down in both departments on this occasion. I can assure you this is definitely not how we like to run our business, which I’m sure you can attest to, having been a regular customer since our early days. In future, please do reach out to our team to let them know of any downfalls so they’re able to make it right at the time and ensure you leave having had a 5* experience.
