Shopping in the UK is horrible

What is wrong these these companies...Warehouse, Boohoo, Dorothy Perkins. All of them have declined my card. My card is fine as I used it on the Oasis website for two dresses today. And for food shopping. I am looking for the same items on each site then filling out my details again and again and AGAIN!!!

I am soo sick of online shopping. The items I wanted are either gone and they are just collecting information or the site is stupid. Or both. Oasis was the only one I could use my card on probably because I paid for delivery.

These shops have some terrible ratings. These were once good shops. Not even joking I am seriously thinking of setting up a boycott site as going by the ratings on these shops they are all looking a wee bit scammy.

Don't expect your delivery to arrive on time!!

Paid for next day delivery and my items didn't arrive for 9 days!! Contacted the company twice within this timeframe and was given a link to the courier tracking link (no update there). They couldn't do anything to expedite my order. When my order eventually replied I returned it as it arrived too late for the event I needed it for. Have just received refund for my items but have not received a refund for delivery charge and delivery protection. Writing a review on this as cannot seem to contact anyone through their website. I'm £14 out of pocked after paying for next day delivery to not receive my items for 9 days!!

Waiting over 4 weeks for refund and customer services ignore me

I sent my return back on 19th September and have yet to receive fund. It's been 4 weeks since I posted this back and it's over £300 I'm waiting to be refunded. I've emailed customer services repeatedly but they never reply. Chat bots on WhatsApp just tell me different dates. Someone said 14th October, when that passed I messaged again and now someone is saying 3rd November. No one will give me a clear outcome. The worst customer service I've experienced.Surely getting my money 6 weeks after posting can't be right?! I'm going to have to claim the money back from my bank now.

Never shop here

Clearly this company has issues processing refunds. I bought two items and paid for express delivery but they didn’t come on time. So I submitted them for a return, got no confirmation of the items being received and have been waiting over 3 weeks for them to refund me. Jessa also quoted the wrong amount to be refunded to me, only the cost of one dress, so I went back with my order confirmation and the refund amount from their WhatsApp chat bot. Jessa has not replied to me and I still have no refund. Never purchase from this company they’re not doing customer service they just want to take as much as your money as possible for as long as possible

Im back again and still having issues!!

Im back again and still having issues!!

Customer service is non-existent - bots are useless, and don't bother emailing, they don't bother answering! Only through trust pilot reviews is the only way to get some sort of service!!

My original complaint is regarding the returning of items which I still cannot return. I paid and was given a QR code to return through Asda. First code didnt work, neither did the other one generated. Did sent Warehouse emails, even took photo of the Asda scanner when trying to scan the qr code.

So now I'm stuck with two dresses (which arrived late) and £57.40 poorer. Highly frustrating company and will not purchase from them again.

In regards to the delivery, I can see the order was placed on super saver delivery. This can take up to 7 working days. The order was placed on 20th July, and was delivered on 28th July, which is within the delivery timeframe chosen at checkout.

Where is my order?

Unable to review quality of clothes as my order from the 15th August has still not been delivered! Checked with InPost and they are waiting for the parcel so it hasn’t even been dispatched yet. The money has been taken from my account and they are ignoring my emails which are supposed to be responded to within 48 hours. I ordered several dresses to try for a wedding and am now left with no dress to wear and over £200 out of pocket very disappointed.

I am sorry to say I can only reiterate…

I am sorry to say I can only reiterate what other reviewers are saying about issues getting a refund.
I placed an order on 16th July delivery states 5/7 working days. It arrived on the 31st July. As they had arrived too late I needed to return the items which I did the next day. They showed as received on 4th August on the tracking but nothing from Warehouse to say received or that the refund was being processed. I chased up and got a reply that they were going to process a credit note! A credit note so I can go through this whole charade again no thanks. I have always liked the Warehouse brand but won’t be ordering again.

(i) refund to gift voucher

(ii) refund to original payment method

It is a customer’s responsibility to ensure you are carefully reading and understanding the options available before continuing to the next page/step.

These options are clearly set out online, and selections made at this stage are final once you continue. Once an option has been selected, we are unable to make changes or cancel it.

This choice is presented each time you make a return, so for future returns you can select a refund to go back to the original payment if you prefer.

Not worth one star, avoid

Not worth one! Ordered a few dresses to try, ones I kept were nice but didn’t receive ‘extra25’ discount on one even though it was included in promotion and I had a screen shot of this. Their reply was ‘ didn’t apply to sale’ it did, as others I bought were in the promo and why ‘extra’ if not in sale??!! Still being promoted by mark heyes as on sale items. Gets worse. Sent two dresses back nearly four weeks ago, had email last week to say one received, two were in same package. I’ve emailed and WhatsApp’d numerous times with details, told to get back in touch and never hear any more. I’m owed £40 which isn’t as bad as a lot of others waiting but a lot for me! So much for bargains?! If it’s not sorted by end of week I’ll be going to bank for a charge back. Yes items are nice but if ANY chance you might need to return, avoid!!

Not giving refund

Unfortunately I can’t give 0 stars! I returned several orders to Warehouse on the 12th July, the courier tracking system shows all 4 returned parcels were received by Warehouse yet I’ve not received a refund for them. There is no email address or phone number to contact them on, only a useless AI chat. I’ve entered my order numbers several times on the chat and all the items I returned but the AI chat just tells you that an agent will contact you. Either no one contacts you or you get a response on the chat and you follow the instructions, but nothing is resolved and you don’t hear back. This is extremely infuriating and I am very concerned that I’ve lost nearly £300. I will never be ordering from Warehouse again.

I have been waiting for a refund since…

I wish I could leave zero stars. I have been waiting for a refund since I returned a parcel on 8th July 2025. I did query and was told I’d have a response by 31.07.25. Still haven’t heard anything. No phone number to call and just automated messages. Absolutely useless. Do not order if you wish to return and get a refund because it’s impossible.
After reading the most recent reviews, it seems that I’m not the only one having a problem. I will not be ordering from Warehouse again.

Won’t give a refund. Zero stars. Disgusting

Incomplete order one item never arrived. The ridiculous AI chat box repeatedly asks for my order which I have give. I was then told to check with my courier and neighbours. I will not do that my contract is with warehouse so if something has not been delivered after weeks of waiting I should get an immediate refund. The tracking is still only saying dispatched. Poor customer service avoid zero stars

Extremely poor returns policy

I had purchased 2 items from this online store. They did not fit me and I arranged to return the item. They have not provided me with any email confirmation of the return, no update if the item has been received at their end nor have i received a refund for 19 days after the return.
Further, for one item, I have to deal with the brand Chi Chi London directly, and their customer service is atrocious. No response to emails and no other channel to escalate the matter.
PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

Delayed refund

Purchased 4 dresses and returned 3. The returns package was tracked. I was advised I’d have a refund by 31st of May, then was old on the 1st of June that I would get a refund within 24 hours. I have now been told it could be a further 8 days!! I have contacted consumer rights and raised a case with PayPal. Really poor customer services and returns process.

Awful service not worth it

Item send damaged so says went have to pay to return. Have been chasing for refund fid three weeks. They stall via email done read email back resolved so asked if I wanted a replacement, have said it’s something like 28 days to process refunds I’ve never know anything like it. This is supposed to be Debenhams and inputs returns are simple and within days. They have not instructed the refund and I’ve still not had it and they havnt replied again to the last email. Awful service. Two of the items were nice but the service isn’t worth the stress

It’s a total scam! It is not the Warehouse from Debenhams
Ordered £300 worth of dresses, waited 2 weeks, didn’t arrive. Text, supposed customer service, to be told 2 were out of stock and I would receive a refund at the end of May, the rest would be shipped again next day.
2 weeks later still not arrived. Told I would receive a refund in June, I don’t have any faith I will get a refund. Has anyone actually received one?
I am so upset that this has happened, and do not want anyone else to be ripped off by these fraudsters!

Although the majority of our orders are delivered within the timeframe chosen at checkout, delays with couriers do sometimes happen that are out of our control and when they do, they ask to allow more time for delivery to be made before we are able to declare the parcel as lost. Upon the given date passing, a refund and resend was issued for you.

Warehouse is a large reputable online retailer and any refunds issued will be received. Please allow the given timeframe for the funds to be fully processed with your payment provider.

I have spent the last 4 months trying to get a refund for goods I have returned. I am in the process of going to a small claims court, as my emails are just being ignored! I brought items from a warehouse website, was not informed that I was buying items from else where. I was issued with 1 purchase reference and when returning both items with that 1 number I was given 1 returns label. Warehouse/Debenhams or god knows whom I am dealing with are now claiming that this is not their issue, as in the comment below!!! I have never experienced anything like it in all my years of online shopping. I was informed about the returns error in November, when I reached out to enquire and was informed that the item had been located and would be returned to the correct place. That was 4 months ago. I rest my case!!! Utter shambles!!

When a return is made, it is fully our customers responsibility to ensure items are returned to the correct sellers and I can see for this return, you have sent the item to an incorrect address. Due to this, the seller of the item is unable to offer a refund on it until we can confirm the incorrect seller you returned the item to has forwarded this to them. We have provided responses to your emails and have tried to have the item located and forwarded for you, but the delay with this refund being issued is directly due to you returning this to an incorrect seller. The seller of the item is under no obligation to provide refunds on items not returned to them and if the item can be located, we will request for a late return to be accepted so a refund can be issued.
For any future returns, please ensure the instructions on our returns portal that are provided for each item are followed to avoid issues with refunds being processed.
