Wardrobe Direct Omdömen 290

This was a repeat order of a wardrobe to match one we had ordered earlier in the year. It came when promised, put together as efficiently as before and completed by courteous and efficient staff. Thank you.

I ordered a wardrobe from Wardrobe Direct which arrived as planned. Before assembly I realised that the Wardrobe would be too big for the space I had. This was my mistake.
I contacted Wardrobe direct via email within 14 days of receipt of goods as per their return policy and was asked for pictures of the unopened packages in order to begin the returns process. I provided these photographs.

Since then I have been ignored for a week both using email and their "live chat" which gets no response other than a robot with automated replies.
There is no contact number to speak to a human.
I spent over £1000 with this company for a wardrobe and then just get ignored for a week, does nobody work here or are they deliberately ignoring me?
I originally planned to swap the wardrobe for a smaller size but now I just want a refund and will go elsewhere.

Well, I’d ignore the below.. they sent it to my wrong address and I’m now being ignored 🤣

The wardrobe I bought was from the premium range
And it is junk . The quality is terrible
Not much more to say.
The build quality is the worst .
I have learnt a big Big lesson buy local.
A few weeks have passed now and I have spent £150 on stabilising the rubbish wardrobe.

The delivery company were challenging to deal with to secure a date that they could deliver due to a combination of my work commitments and the delivery company only working 24-48 hours ahead. Then when it was delivered the boxes were labeled for different wardrobes. Despite this the parts all seemed to be present. Upon assembly, the ends of the wardrobe collapsed at the fixings due to poor quality material and the material cracking when you screw in the fixings. When it collapsed it nearly fell on me. I was left wondering if I had gotten as far as putting the doors on, would it have even lasted…

I bought a double sliding mirrored doored wardrobe from Wardrobe Direct. It was delivered with one of the mirrors broken. Simon at Wardrobe Direct reordered a new replacement mirrored door from the manufacturer, which was delivered within four weeks. Simon could not have been more helpful and understanding. I’m very pleased with my purchase.

Wardrobe direct were good to deal with wardrobes arrived on time with constant updates
The wardrobes were wonderful but I have marked down 1 star due to being advertised on their site as Luxury and for the cost I would have expected a solid backing like 18mm MDF instead of the flimsy board 2-3mm thick used which bends to the touch

I ordered the 203 cm mirrored wardrobes and have to say I am delighted with the wardrobes. The guy arrived on his own and built them for us yes it did cost us £199.00 but if my husband has done them it would have taken him forever. The guy built them in about 90 mins. Would I recommend wardrobes direct absolutely YES

Poor communication - delivery date scheduled it never arrived and not contacted with any problems I was promised an update the following day still waiting of that update ! Wardrobe redelivered a few days later . It’s a shame as the wardrobe is lovely it’s just a shame the company doesn’t communicate with customers

I don’t want or require an investigation the whole point of the review was to tell other people how badly you communicate the wardrobe was due to be delivered on 2nd February I emailed you after the delivery window you said you’d update me the following day and I’m still waiting you have everything you need I’m not wasting more time giving you reference numbers for this and addresses for that ! I’ve got my goods it’s perfect ! I won’t be using you again .

Having had 2 wardrobes off direct was happy with wardrobe but one of wardrobe’s there was a problem it did not slide properly and keeps sticking I did give a 1 star because they did not reply to my phone calls or texts and was not happy but it was over Xmas holiday breaks and didn’t allow for Xmas breaks but after Xmas breaks they did respond to my problem and resolved my problem so I would like to cancel my 1 star and award the company a 5 star recommendation it’s nice to think you got back up if you do get a problem regards Phil Compton

I have asked Wardrobe Direct twice to call me regarding my order which included installation. They have not responded and now have asked me for this review.
The company that arrived are not Wardrobe Direct but TJ’s furniture.
They were rude, rushing and did not clear up after themselves. Two of the doors are at different heights. The mirror doors were filthy. Rubbish was left in the wardrobe and lots of screws were left on the carpet which was dangerous. There also seemed to be a lot of fixtures and fittings left over so worried something hasn’t been fixed correctly. They also haven’t screwed the screws in on the hinges so these are sticking out. After spending nearly £1000 on this wardrobe I expected better.
Further to the reply below I would like to confirm that I advised that I would happily supply statements from the two people who were at my property on the day of the wardrobe delivery to back up what happened on the day. The works being carried out could not be classed as renovation works - it was simply replacing a length of skirting board. We also have a voice recording of the conversation between my daughter and the installation team which I feel would confirm who the hostility came from. The team did not carefully package any unused components or flatten boxes and put them in the wardrobe - again I can supply pictures if requested.
Obviously you are taking the side of the installation team which is what I would expect but my review was an honest one of what happened on the day.

My wardrobe hasn't even been delivered yet and my first installment of payment has already been taken. I'm also being asked for a review of my delivery when it's not taken place yet. The delivery waiting times are far too long and not enough delivery dates available or any weekend delivery to England. When being asked for a review it lead with this '
Did you know 100% of customers that have the slightest complaint, jump to leave a negative review but sadly only 1% of happy customers share their good experiences. This negatively affects our online reputation and we feel it's unfair'. Unfortunately, I disagree, people are just being honest and the reviews all look fair to me.

The wardrobe was great.
Ordered additional LED lights at the cost of £75 pounds. They turned up 2 weeks before the wardrobe, they are cheap and nasty and look terrible. Plus the power cable doesn’t reach the socket!
When I reached out to WD they informed me I would need to return the whole order. The wardrobe is built! Extremely disappointing service

Ordered and paid for the goods on 31st October 2025 and received Wardrobe on 9th January 2026. No proactive updates, I had the chase week after week. No apologies, nothing. Would not use this company again.

I note the response from the company accepting the delivery time was far beyond that promised. Its just a shame that they failed to keep me informed of the issues or offer anything in the way of mitigation. If only the communication between ordering and delivery was a good as their ability to respond to poor reviews. We can all be wise after the event..hence i would not recommend them.

Great wardrobe very elegant

Really pleased with the wardrobe. It took a while to assemble, but no major challenges, and it is solid. Delivery ended up being delayed on the day and came quite late in the evening, but otherwise all good.

Easy to order, love the modular design as able to better fill the space available.

Extremely helpful, communicated throughout the process. Fitter was amazing and very quick. Wardrobes look unreal. Better than any fitted I've seen at a fraction of the price. Very impressed
