Great response to a problem
There was a problem with the blood draw handling at a patient service center that caused some test readings to be way off. The problem was NOT the fault of WalkInLab.com. WalkInLab telephoned me and, without me asking, gave me a free retest. WalkInLab is a good company. I have used them for many years and will continue to use them.

Walk-In-Lab is great, I pick the tests I want at a decent price and I get them much quicker than going through my regular doctor, who often times does not order the test I want. Also, way faster than going to the doctors office.

Walk-In-Lab is an effective and reasonably priced method of getting blood tests when you do not have a Primary Care Dr.
Particularly effective for Canadians and others spending part of the fall / winter out pf heir home country but wanting to monitor certain aspects.

LOVE THE PRICES THE MOST!!
Site is easy to navigate. It is a simple process to order your labs, choose the location you will go to, and easy to pay. More than anything I love the prices!! The lab testing was very quick. I was in and out of the facility in about 10-15 minutes, and my results were sent starting the very next day. Great service overall, I would recommend!

No longer good. Won't stand behind their referral advertising.
I originally gave Walk In Lab a 5-star review based on their excellent sign-up process and seamless testing experience back in December 2025. However, I am reducing my overall evaluation to 3-stars because, while the testing/results process is good, they do not stand behind their referral advertising on their website, and they do not allow you to easily close your account online.
Since I had a good prior experience, I wanted to recommend them to a friend in need of testing. I noticed a sidebar on their mobile website that said "Refer a Friend". When you click on it, it says 20% off for the friend and 100 points for me. When I clicked, it said I had to first log in to my account, but I was already logged in so it just took me back to where I was. There was no obvious way to make it work and my friend needed to order her tests and couldn't wait, so I told her to just create an account for now and add the tests to her cart and that I would email Walk in Lab for the referral code.
But, Walk in Lab does not respond to emails but rather sends an automated email to call them. When you call them, instead of simply acknowledging the website error and giving my friend a one-time 20% referral code, they told me that she needed to re-create a new account using a different email address and that I would first need to join their rewards program to get the referral link; and then she would have to open her account from that link. None of this was stated on the sidebar. If it were, I would have done that. Now, they want me/her to jump through all these extra loops because of their misleading website.
As they say in business, "If you don't take care of the customer, somebody else will." So, I googled their competitors and discovered Ulta Lab Tests, so I had my friend order her battery of tests there instead. If she has a good experience there then I, too, will follow her.
I therefore emailed Walk in Lab to close my account since I won't be using them again, but there is no way to close an account online. Again, you get the automated response to call them.
So, basically, they make it super easy to join and pay them, but very difficult should an error arise or you want to close your account.
I no longer recommend Walk in Lab.

Walk-in Lab website is user friendly…
Walk-in Lab website is user friendly and easy to navigate. The only glitch I ran into was scheduling my appointment at a nearby facility. I have purchased lab tests via Walk-in Labs before, so it would save time if my contact information and preferences were saved so that the Lab testing location will auto populate with my saved information. This is the only reason why the experience could not be rated "excellent"

Patient autonomy
You pick the tests you want, your doctor and health insurance are not involved (and it's usually way less expensive than going the other route). When the results come in, you're the only one getting them, and you can read up on the results and make informed decisions before you share them with your doctor.
