My experience with Voyage Rent Company was extremely disappointing.

The problems started from the very beginning. Collecting the car took much longer than expected due to poor organisation and long waiting times.

When returning the vehicle, I specifically asked a member of staff to inspect the car with me before I left. I wanted to make sure everything was in order and avoid any misunderstandings. The employee looked at the vehicle and clearly told me that everything was fine and that there was no need for any further inspection.

24 hours later, I received an email claiming that the vehicle had been damaged and that I would be charged for repairs.

As a customer, I find this completely unacceptable. If there had been any damage, it should have been identified and discussed while I was still present at the return location, not reported the following day after I had already left.

The entire process lacked transparency and professionalism, leaving me with the feeling that customers are not properly protected. I would strongly recommend taking detailed photos and videos of the vehicle at both collection and return, and insisting on a signed inspection report before leaving the rental office.

Based on my experience, I would not use Voyage Rent Company again and cannot recommend their service.

I was pleasantly impressed with the service. They were prompt and helpful at every stage. The prices were reasonable and I definitely recommend them.

Please don't rent cars in this company. They stool for me 200€ on my deposit. They promised in the beginning refunds the money in 2 o 3 days. Still I m not received my money back and this is going now a month. Never ever rent a car in this company.

This company should be avoided at all cost . They will scam you for damage you never done to the vehicle. Please don't hire from these people and take my advice as you will regret it

Absolutely scammers avoid this company I booked and after I read all day reviews unfortunately I showed read them before I tried to cancel my booking but no success they won’t answer me at all when I booked. They were so active had response from them very quickly now they just ignore I make phone calls. Send a messages still no response and my deposit not received

Avoid this company, they will rip you off. Cheap to rent, yes. Very cheap. But they make their money by claiming damage. In my case 348 EUR.

It doesn't help documenting with pictures. I had more than one picture proving there was no damage in the exact spot where they said there was damage. Either it was the next customer or they did it themselves. Or another car.

On top of this, the damage they claimed was a small scratch in the plastic in the fender - for which they charged the 348 euros. Ridiculous.

And I'm not done - it was also a problem getting a receipt so I can get it reimbursed from my insurance at home. I'm covered, but if this happens a lot my insurance will of course increase.

I've got two companies on my no-go list now: Goldcar and Voyagerent.

In October 2025, I had an extremely negative experience with Voyage Rent in Alicante.

After returning the car in perfect condition, the company later produced inconsistent damage claims with changing amounts and unclear evidence. The entire process felt highly unreliable and deeply concerning.

Fortunately, I had timestamped videos and full documentation, and my Full Coverage provider eventually refunded the full amount after reviewing the case carefully.

Based on my experience, I would strongly advise travelers to avoid this company and choose a more transparent and trustworthy rental provider instead.

This situation created serious and unnecessary stress while traveling abroad with my children.

Do not book a car with this company, it is a total scam! We arrived at night and returned the car outside of office hours. We made videos of the car's condition, however, I did not zoom in fully on the videos. 2 days after returning the car, they withheld the entire deposit (990 euros) due to damage to the side door and 2 tiny dents on the tailgate, which were zoomed in heavily and were not visible in the photos taken before or after. The side door where we supposedly caused the damage was already completely dented; we knew this beforehand and even received a discount for it (20 euros). Then they said that we had made an extra scratch on that already damaged door. What a big scammers, I will never book through Voyage again.

Like others have said - They tried to keep my €1200 deposit by saying i damaged the car - I had photo's to prove the damage which was pretty much all over the car was present on collection - DO NOT RENT FROM VOYAGE.

All seemed fine to start with
Landed late, driver took us to the car and we collected the car. Out of hours charge was €100 which we paid then paid the £900 deposit. Late night departure so dropped the car back. Each time made videos of the cars condition. Arrive back in the uk for the company to say we had made marks on the vehicle and will not refund our deposit even thou we have clear footage of no damage. Steer clear of this company please! Only discovered reviews after hiring… big scam company would never use them again!

I can only repeat what many others have said.
After failing to claim for 'damage' to the vehicle, luckily i had videos of the vehicle at pickup and dropoff. they claimed 200 euro's from me, because there was dust in the car and said I'd been smoking in the vehicle. I don't smoke and never have. I had the vehicle for 31 days, in that time I had the windows open.....DO NOT USE, COMPLETE CON ARTISTS

I felt that i read my own story when I read 3-4 of the comments here as my experience is exactly the same.This was 2 weeks show I received a video showing so called new damages. Impossible to see. Asket for photos where the new ones Are marked. Sent photos that showed that the damages was old. GOT a new email saying that it was another. I sent several mails and messages to Get my deposit of 1200 euros back. They sent 200 ands an invoice on 1000 for ‘repairing’ 2 damages i have not caused and never will be fixed either. I have contacted the agent where i booked the car and also my own insurance company. This is both fraud against customers and insurance companies., SO STAY AWAY.

On Mar 19 I rented a car from Voyagerent. The person dropping off the car did not do a walk around with me. Then he charged my credit card 1200 euros. It was supposed to only be a hold, until the car was returned. A feww days later I learned they charged the full amount, telling me they would return it once I returned the car. When I returned the car, there was no damage. I took a video of the entire vehicle. They told me to leave it in the airport parking lot with key on the tire. Then I get a bill from them alleging that there was damage and charging me 950 euros. Total SCAMMMM!!!! DO NOT RENT A VEHICLE FROM THESE CROOKS!!!!!

Please, PLEASE do not rent a car from this company! This is how it works, nice prices put you on the hook, you find the car, (a search is required as their rep doesn't wear a uniform) and you then take a long video of the car as there are dents, scratches all over the place. You then have your credit card taken to ''block'' a deposit. You drive away and find the payment isn't blocked, it is deducted. You return the car with no additional damage to an unmanned corner of a yard and drop the keys in a box. The following day you receive an email saying you damaged the car and that the repair will cost.......yes you guessed it, the value of the deposit! A video taken showing the underside of the front of the car is Voyage's idea of proof. 63 emails later and you finally receive a before and after photo which doesn't show any additional damage. THIS IS AN EXPENSIVE CAR RENTAL COMPANY!! I complained to my bank, gave them the evidence and thank goodness got my money back.

Very disappointing experience with Voyage Rent a Car.

The car was delivered at the airport, but the process felt rushed and I wasn’t given enough time to properly check the vehicle’s condition. The car itself had over 70,000 km and did not feel well maintained.

I was required to pay a €1200 deposit because I didn’t take their insurance, and this amount was taken from my account rather than held.

When returning the car, I was asked to leave it at the airport without any staff present to inspect it with me. A few hours later, I was contacted and told there was damage underneath the car, which I was not aware of. As a result, the full €1200 deposit was kept.

Based on my experience, the process felt unfair and lacking transparency. I would recommend others take extra caution and ensure everything is clearly documented when renting

I rented a vehicle from AVTOVOYAGE RENT S.L. (Voyagerent / Avtovoyage) at Alicante Airport in February 2026. This is not a complaint about bad service. This is a description of organised, organised fraud.

Before I even signed the rental contract, they permanently charged EUR 1,200 to my card as a purchase transaction, not as a pre-authorization hold as their own contract explicitly requires. The contract I was forced to sign online stated "0 damages". Their own photos, sent to me to locate the vehicle, clearly show pre-existing scratches on the bumper and damaged rims. They knew the car was damaged. They signed it off as perfect. That is not an oversight. That is the business model.

When I submitted photographic evidence disputing the claim, they responded in writing: "Thank you for the photos you provided, we reviewed them." The very next day, the same company wrote: "You have not provided any objective evidence. Such materials have not been submitted." Caught lying in their own emails.

I was travelling with three young children and four adults. I drove that car with extreme care. I returned it in the same condition I received it, which was already damaged before I touched it.

I have filed a formal criminal complaint with the Fiscalía Provincial de Valencia. A chargeback dispute is active with my bank. All documentation has been submitted to the Spanish prosecution authorities.

There are dozens of victims describing the exact same pattern: same airport, same "0 damages" contract, same fake charges.
