I would just like to say again what an amazing service this is. The staff are really friendly and helpful and go above and beyond to help you get where you need to go. The volunteer drivers are brilliant and are always polite,helpful and very easy to talk to and when you don’t see many people it’s wonderful to chat. So again thank you so much for this wonderful service

Making huge differences in people's lives.

Once again Keith and the Volunteer Driver Service was a life-saver to me. There is no way I could have managed to get to my appointment without this service and I will be forever grateful to all the wonderful drivers.

This service is a lifesaver for me. I’m disabled and my usual driver, Colin, is a real gent. Getting to appointments when you don’t drive and have no one else to help is really difficult. Taxis can be unreliable and very expensive and obviously won’t wait for you. Colin gets me to the doctor or dentist on time and waits until I’m done. As the drivers are volunteers, the fares are very reasonable indeed.

I have used the voluntary service many times, three different drivers, all caring lovely people, although they give their time, it is their patience which shines through. The gentleman who tops my list is Martin Richardson, he is exceptionally gifted in his ability to put one at ease. He knows his way around, gets you where you need to be, with no difficulty. Even if there is a problem, he soon has it sorted.

They have helped me out on quite a few occasions getting to Doctors, Hospitals and also shopping. Everyone from the office staff to the drivers are very helpful caring and polite.

I needed to get to hospital but dont travel well on public transport and VDS they make my visit possible driver arrived 15 minutes early which was good as traffik was bad very polite even came into the hospital with me would defintley be useing VDS again shortly highly recxomended

This service is fantastic. The drivers are very pleasant and friendly. It also takes the stress out of trying to find a car parking space as the drivers wait while you’re at your appointment. I thoroughly recommend this service to others.

It has been wonderful to be taken to appointments by means of this excellent service. The drivers are all very pleasant and keep good time. Overall it takes away the worry of difficult parking at hospitals when you already have worries about your appointment. I used it many times in 2024 and would have been lost without it. Please keep going !!
