I wanted to apply for an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) to enter the UK, so I searched online for how to apply. Google led me to a website that didn't indicate it was an intermediary; it was misleading. I thought I was applying through the government website, as it only showed the ETA cost as £20 (USD 28.77). To my surprise, the charge came to USD 158.75, so I didn't apply for the ETA and immediately requested a refund. Almost a month has passed, and I've sent three emails to the contact listed on the website without receiving any response. I think I've lost my money, but at least I'll make sure to share this message so that other unsuspecting people don't fall for this scam.

This website is a scam. I was lucky my bank denied payment otherwise it was charging 200 euros instead of 20.

Nirgends steht, dass zu den üblichen Gebühren für die Regierung auch noch ca 130 Euro zusätzlich an Visafi bezahlt werden muss. Finger weg Abzocke!!!

Amazingly bad experience, website shows goverment fees to be 60 punds for 3 persons, when finished tried to withdrawl over 500 euros from my account wtf even is this ?

This needs to stop! I applied for a UK ETA throughwhat I believed was a UK government website page. I was charged $204 for the eta where the amount shown on the page was only 20 pounds (around 28 usd). Total scam. Called my creditcard company said i needed to email them. Seeing the comments below i don’t expect much for it. Be careful!

They SCAMMED me. Charge randomly prices for the service, they do not inform about the price. They do not get you any UK ETA.
And the day after i received mulptiple charges, TEMU, Apple store,..,. I have already report to police. But i don't think we could get the money back.

SCUM.......DO not go for it. They charged me €170, not to mention the process that I have to go through to get another card, hours before my flight.

Kreditkarte wird als nicht akzeptiert ausgewiesen. Trotzdem werden 158 Euro anstelle von 20 Euro belastet. Da man in solchen Fällen es ja nochmal probiert, auch mehrfach.
Wurde zum Glück von der Kreditkartengesellschaft erkannt und gesperrt.
Leider eben auch meine Kreditkarte, da Firma angeblich dafür bekannt weiter zu belasten und die Daten weiter zu verkaufen

Since then, they have continued sending me emails asking me to complete my visa order, despite already having taken payment. I've tried to call them and emailing them without success.

I am therefore filing a chargeback claim with my bank for an unauthorised transaction.

Total überzogene Gebühren, die so nicht ausgewiesen sind. Es werden ca. 136 EUR für eine ETA (normalerweise ca. 24 EUR) berappt.

This is a very dangerous web site. My bank caught the scam. I also will be reporting this to the US government Diplomatic Security Service in that the web page gathers information that can be used on the DARK WEB.

DANGEROUS SCAM – STAY AWAY

I visited visafi.com to apply for the UK ETA. The website advertised a cost of £80. Instead, they charged me €563 without me realizing it. Immediately after the payment, the page froze and the application was NEVER completed. I received no service, no confirmation, no result.

The official UK ETA application is only available through the "UK ETA" app (Home Office) or gov.uk, and costs just £10-£16 (approximately €12-€19). visafi.com is a private, deceptive business that preys on unsuspecting travellers.

The BBB (Better Business Bureau) has already flagged it as a scam. My bank confirmed this is a fraudulent charge and I have started a chargeback process.

NEVER give your card details here. The only official way is through GOV.UK.

Luckily I had literally a few euros too little in the specific card I used, it showed me instantly the egregious amount they tried to charge. Smart scammers that show up as first result when googling. Bullet dodged.
