This is the best free video editor I've used so far. It is simple and has many features. Great for people who are just starting out

I'm a student and I often need a program to edit some videos and clips for school presentations. I used to rely on windows movie maker, but recently I wasn't satisfied with it anymore!
That's why I decided to change and try VSDC... could't be happier!
The program's interface is simple, everything comes natural and for any doubt I could have... there was a training online explaining me everything!
So satisfied, I really recommend VSDC!!

Hello this is my favorite Video Editing, I have only used about 4 maybe 5 so far. I am not in no way a movie making expert, and I have only just started messing around with VSDC Video Editor. I really like this one and am probably going to purchase the full version, even though the Free version is pretty dam good in itself.

I am a teacher and have been using the free version of this software to make videos for my students since schools have been closed. I have zero experience editing videos. The walk-throughs on YouTube are easy to follow. Just watching one or 2 gives you an idea of how everything is laid out and makes the program more intuitive. Their customer service is awesome! They respond back in less than 24 hours - even to YouTube video comments!

Leider habe ich VSDC Video Editor Pro über die Website von videosoftdev.com "gekauft".
Dort wird leider so gut wie möglich verschleiert, dass man nicht die Software kauft, sondern nur ein einjähriges Nutzungsrecht.
Ich war sehr überrascht, dass ich die Software nicht mehr verwenden konnte und für ein weiteres Jahr 14,10€ bezahlen sollte. Es geht nicht um Updates, es geht um die Nutzung einer installierten Version!

Auf anderen Websites gibt es unbeschränkt gültige Lizenzen für ca 30€ - d.h. nach 2 Jahren fährt man damit günstiger!

Der Suport verwies auf meine Beschwerde hin auf die FAQs und dass man alle Fragen per E-Mail beantworten würde - und dass man auf bitsdujour.com eine Lifetime-Lizenz erwerben könne.

Kurz: Ich habe sehr schlechte Erfahrungen mit videosoftdev.com beim "Kauf" von VSDC Video Editor Pro gemacht:-(

I used the free version of VSDC Video Editor to pull together several small holiday clips and merged them into one. It was really easy to use, however, I needed the added functionality of the full paid for version, especially the hardware accelerator feature.

Why can't more software suppliers be liker these guys and have the confidence in their own product to allow you free use of their software!!

I use VSDC Free Video Editor in an amateur way, to compile the best moments of my vacation and walk with the family, but I like to do everything with great quality and care, and that was exactly what made me love this program, because it has all the necessary resources to improve my work, and at the same time it is simple and practical to use.
I always recommend VSDC Free Video Editor.

I am using VSDC videio editor software in PC just for pleasure and enjoyment. It is working well.I have searched and used many such video editor available free to download. But VSDC seteved my purpose most effectively
Now I like to go for a higher version of necessary by paying reasonable cost. Thanks VSDC. I love vsdc.

Lol I thought the license I buy is permanent lifetime but then I receive email to renew subscriptions well good job at hiding the term and condition for pro version

I have a Youtube account where I upload animations and this program has helped me to do that very easy. Also I can edit whatever I want.
Pros:
* It has several options for filter your videos, make transitions, cutting them and balancing colors.
* Audio edition, use of gifs and animation and other with many options and tools, like different transitions, transparency... many of them.
* This was my first attempt to learn video edition and all what I needed to use it I got it in Youtube!
* Totally free

Cons:
* A little buggy when using some features in the timeline but nothing serious.

The worst, their program didn't work AND they won't give you a refund. DO NOT TRUST.

vsdc is so powerful and have so many tutorial on YouTube. I can do so many things.there is so many effects to use and color grading tool!

SHORT STORY:
I really wasn't happy with the program because of crazy buffering, horrible exporting quality, inaccurate soundwaves and a stabilizer that doesn't work at all.
So i asked my money back within the 30 days as they say on the website.
Amy responded and told me what to do to solve the problems (while i already told her that i did exactly that) so i told her again that i did exactly what she told me and it did not work and I really wanted my money back.
After that I just got ignored by her. I emailed her 4 times and i did not get a response.

I hope i can save other people from losing their money with this review. I saw i am not the only one who this happened to...
There are much better free and paying programs out there.

After hours of work on a video i finally wanted to stabilize some of the shaky footage, but only then i found out that i would have to pay in order to use this feature. Also in the free version the replay kept buffering really bad... also the exported video became horrible quality while the original footage was good quality. I followed their videos to get the best quality but it did not work at all. I also needed the soundwaves to edit on the music but that's also only if you pay.

So i decided i would get the pro version and paid the money. I thought all my problems would be solved.
Not.
First with the paymet it gave an error, so i tried again. And again i got an error. After a while the money got taken off my account but i did not get a code in return. So I contacted them by email and they responden very quick. They gave the money back that was paid too much and also i got a code. Up till here very happy.

Then i tried using the pro version and guess what...
The buffering stayed the same. I used the sound waves but it was not accurate. The stabilizer doesn't work at all, it only reduced the quality of my video and nothing else. So wasted money. I still had a bit of hope with the exporting, maybe the quality was better now. It was not.
I'm so disapointed with the program but okay, no worries. I could still ask my money back withing 30 days, and I had it less than a week.

So I emailed again with the reason why i wanted my money back.
I did not get a response so i emailed again, they responded that their email 'probably did not reach my inbox'
I got a whole explanation how i could fix my problems, i just have to follow their videos, which i did.... they were all excuses to not give my money back

so i told them that i did exactly what they told me and i still had these problems so i just wanted my money back as stated ion the website within 30 days.

I did not get a response, i emailed again and again and they just ignored my emails.

So how i see it, it's just a big scam. They respond as long as they can get something from you and you pay. But the moment you want your money back because you're actually not happy because you don't get what you pay for, they just ignore you.

In all honesty?
I'm not sure what these low rated reviews are going on about but I've used VSDC both free and pro to create videos weekly for over a year. If you look at the options you can turn hardware acceleration on or off which will use the video card, or not for processing. Can't make a slideshow? Really? There's an entire template, you click once that lets you put all images in, select your transition and done.

Anyways, on to the software...
Green screen, masking, slow-mo, speed up, transitions, fades, special effects, pan and zoom, overlays, PIP (window within a window), cinemagraphs, audio control, screen recorder, LUT, HSV, Curves, and more.
There is no other software for the price that ticks every box and is regularly updated in a way that improves the experience.
Just looking for a basic editor to cut and split videos? Use the free version. Looking to make more advanced videos? Skip a couple of McDonald's meals and use that money for the pro version.
I've tried pretty much every editor and by far VSDC gives the best stable, reliable and capable experience. Even when merging videos shot from different cameras at different outputs, the export is smooth.
And since you can start off for free, why not give it a shot? Plus their YouTube channel has every possible how to if there's something you're trying to achieve.
You've got nothing to lose, and everything to gain. Just like I discovered when I tried it over a year ago.

Good software. Easy to get to grips with quickly to carry out basic editing but even the free version can do so much more. Plenty on line resources to help you learn more about the software and make better videos.

They advertise it as free but it's not, like all their other 'free' software progs. It's not until you've done all your work and try to export that you're told that it's a premium feature and you need to upgrade. Lies, fakery and manipulation. I rather buy from a snake oil salesman than Peter Upton and nhs software.

I like that there are many tools to use but sometimes is too much effort to remember where are some of them.
I would like to try the Pro version because with the free one I already have a good experience.

Takes a short time to get used to the program, but after you get the hang of it, it makes your day ..... or video ;)
