We use this company for their vehicle value API. Looks like there are many more related services they provide. The market values they provide seem accurate and the service was easy to add to our website. They have detailed usage reporting and reasonable pricing with helpful customer service. I recommend!
The most comprehensive public api. No wait list, great datasets. Perfect for the small company web dev. Saad was very helpful with a lot. Was able to swap out apis as development progressed as i started to figure out what i needed. Great people.
Vehicle Databases is a great company. They have exactly the APIs I needed for my upcoming website. Once I figured out how great the support team was and specifically Achim, I finalized this as my vendor for my upcoming projects too. Thanks again!
It's a scam. As soon as you try and sell a vehicle, someone will ring you and ask for you to do a hpi type check. They'll convince you that they've had problems with std hpi check in the past. You pay for the report, get an email back saying it's going to take 5 hours to generate the report. Then you hear nothing else from this company or the buyer. That's it. Money lost.
Update: Vehicle Database contacted me about this review. However, 6 days later I'm still awaiting my report. Their email bounces back. I still believe that they're a scam.
Updated 24 Nov 2025: they still haven't been in touch or delivered a report. An absolute scam.

Very thorough report with details for servicing, registration, mileage, and suggested repairs to make if purchasing the vehicle. I wanted a detailed report because I was purchasing the engine only from this totaled car. I recommend this service because I learned that the mileage was 20,000 miles less than the salvage yard stated. So, I am able to document to next owner of my car the actual miles. However, since everyone has to record mileage when junking/salvaging/crushing vehicles, I will be ordering the details from the state DMV where it was last documented to be sold from to the salvage yard.
Also, I had issues with using my usual spam email when looking around InstantVinReports.Com because when ordering the spam email auto-filled when entering my card information. I was able to contact Customer Service and Achin helped me through the process. He stayed on the phone while trying to figure out a work around without success, but he was able to help me personally. I don't think the email issue will be a problem in the future because he's going to get those in the know to work with their webmaster to rectify the email issue (one needs to use their bank's email address for their account). So...
I highly recommend InstantVinReports.Com and Achin for any VIN reports one may need now or in the future. Great for finding out about where parts came from if you can get the VIN numbers. Well worth the effort. I will be pulling VINs on my current vehicles and those I may be lucky enough to own in the future.
The pricing was competitive and the overall experience was positive...pleased with team support.
