Think twice before paying this company and make sure you read their other negative reviews.

I ordered an engine from them for a customer’s vehicle, but it was never delivered. They claimed there was an issue during transport and kept me waiting for 5-6 weeks before finally saying the order would be cancelled.

It has now been over three months, and I still have not received my refund, despite speaking to them almost every week and repeatedly chasing it up. All I heard is lies, thy kept telling me the refund been done just give it few days.

If you end up in the same situation, don’t waste time trying to get a refund directly from them - go straight to your bank and request a chargeback before it’s too late.

Unfortunately, I’ve realised I had a similar issue with this company a few years ago with another part. I eventually got my money back, but only after a long struggle. I had forgotten about that until I reviewed my past correspondence.

I strongly recommend staying away.

Do not use this company they are absolute con artists! I needed an engine for my car and this company informed me they had one. I initially paid £1000 towards it, then I discovered I could have my engine reconditioned instead. I contacted them to explain the situation and they agreed to refund the £1000. This has been months now of trying to contact them multiple times and each time, I’m told something different. Even spoke to the accounts guy who seems to have the easiest job in the world as he only works on Saturdays, starts at 11, and by 12.30 he’s taking a 2 hour lunch break! I’ve now had to resort to the small claims court to try to get the money back. Do not give your money to these scammers!

After purchasing an engine on the 5th September, for a Vauxhall Vivaro, we were told it would take 5 - 7 days to be delivered. After this time had lapsed, we were chasing them for the best part of 2 weeks with excuse after excuse. Eventually purchased another engine from another supplier, then we had to keep chasing them again for a refund. Once again, excuse after excuse. I do not rate this company, and advise people to stay clear.

Recently purchased a Disco 4 TD6 engine from Vaux Spares and I cannot rate then more highly. Communication was excellent, description was totally accurate and honest and delivery timing was well communicated.
Engine now fitted with timing belts and service parts replaced and is running perfectly. Event started first time.
Can’t understand why some customers have reviewed then poorly. Definitely not what I have experienced
Great service and would recommend them highly and use them again.

AVOID AVOID AVOID at any cost !! You have been warned !! I purchased an engine if them - took 2 weeks to arrive as they continually lie about everything ...when it arrived it was damaged and defective ..more lies followed - i eventually got them to collect the engine after getting the spares company involved that I ordered it through ...now been waiting 2 weeks for a refund ...more lies !! They should be shut down

Bought an engine with 90days warranty they said
Came with no receipt and no warranty
After I received the engine I installed to the car and was rubbish , knocking Smokey ...
they knew is faulty hence no warranty
Returned and received by seller and didn't want to refund mi got them in court so we will sort it out

Lied about delivery,constantly changing the dates, insanely rude customer service, gave them innumerable chances to alleviate the situation but it just got worse. Asked for a refund and was made to feel like I was the one in the wrong !!Do not use them unless you need a frontal lobotomy as it ruined my whole trust in distance selling .

Complete scam. Ordered 3k engine “it’s on its way it’s in it way” staff insanely rude. Avoid avoid. Gave them the benefit of the doubt. Provided details for the “delivery” company which is also a scam when you go into their website. Complained to first choice who they use to scam people through. Avoid like the plague. Have now had to raise a dispute with the bank to get funds backs

i purchased a gear box of them as i was in need of one as i was let down by other companies, they said they will be able to get sent out next day which should be with my garage my the following tuesday never happened within a couple of weeks it arrived after one gear box went missing and then they sent out another one, gear box was checked by my machanic and it was faulty tried countless of times to get hold of the company with emials and phone calls only to be told manager is away, hung up on my partner as she was calling on my behalf while i was at work, (really not nice people) once i finally got back through i was told i had to pay for shipping pays and the would take the shelf life off my refund and i would get whats left i refused this as im entilited to a full refund which they have refused we have court next month as i am not letting this go!!

please be warey and dont panic buy honestly the worst thing i have ever done and i have learnt my lesson to check google and trust pilot!! they put their own reviews on google thats why its so high!!!

Ordered an engine over £3,000, never arrived - every week they say their accounts will process a refund.. Never do. Now having to go through court procedure.
Save yourself a headache and avoid these scam artists.

They do not reply to emails. I bought a spare wheel via Ebay but found I needed to get a space saver so rang them but after being passed from person to person was told that they didn't have one.
I asked if I brought it back direct to them I could get a refund which they said I would less the delivery charge. On getting there they then said there would be a restocking charge. Although we had a receipt and photo of the wheel with their employee was told to contact Ebay for the money.
Ebay asked that we ask the firm to send an email to confirm they had the wheel. Sent email to Vaux Spares but no email sent. Sent another to them asking why they didn't send email. No reply so rang them and after being kept on hold for a while was told it had been sorted. On finding nothing had been sorted phoned them again and was cut off when I said my name.
The result is not only do they have my money but also the wheel.

Bought a part which subsequently did not work, so couple of days later took it back to their yard, was verbally abused by some guy because I had the audacity to ask for my money back, he said they have to test it before they refund me, i advised him of the English laws that let me return non working goods without question and he said he did not care and I cant have a refund without it being tested (the only way to test this goods is put it into a stripped out car and rebuild it first). Despite two subsequent phone calls and no call backs chasing my refund I have now taken the measure of giving them a fixed date for a refund (via signed for communication) or I will without further communications start legal proceedings which will quadruple their debt to me and if they fail to pay with give the company a CCJ ... its time these companies realised the law makes the rules not them

I hit a problem as my order was not delivered, contrary to what the courier claimed. Our CCTV showed no effort to deliver at the time claimed. This is when you find out how good a company is. Today I received a phone call from them, very friendly and polite and they immediately issued a full refund with no quibble whatsoever. I would recommend them to anyone and, despite my problem, would very happily use them to purchase from again in the future. A very positive experience indeed from a highly recommended company. Thank you!

The worst people I have ever dealt. Brought an engine from them that did not work when installed. They tried to blame my mechanic and said he had removed parts from the engine when he had not. We had taken pictures of the repair process so it was not my mechanic at fault. I spent £900 with the mechanic for a failed engine! Despite calls everyday they would not collect the engine or issue a refund. Had to arrange a return out of my own money. The engine was returned and has been sat with Vaux Spares for over three weeks and they are still refusing to issue a refund stating “it’s on it’s way” which is the same spiel they have given for three weeks. I will be issuing legal proceedings and reporting them to trading standards if a refund is not issued by Friday.

Bought an engine through Breaker link and these jokers offer the cheapest option.
What they fail to tell you is that you should replace the timing chain on any engine they supply.
The engine I purchased was knackered, when I told them they said it was all ok when it left them (that’s the 1st joke).
My mechanic said it’s not running right and to contact Vaux spares.
They said my mechanic must have caught a wire when fitting the engine which was the Second joke.
I was then told by my mechanic that he would need to remove the timing cover to investigate the issue, he found the timing belt had jumped three teeth and the tensioner had broken.
Here’s the third Joke - Vaux spares said this happened in transit 😂😂😂😂
Avoid this side show as they are a waste of time and your hard earned money.

Have been calling and calling this so called business for days now and keep getting pushed from one person to the other , saying they will call me back with in the hour and guess what no calls , just callled again and got this person if you even I would call him a person ? I was not allowed to speak, he didn’t like it when I said your company doesn’t seem to want my business, shouting down the phone , I will not be doing business here and am disgusted with the company , as from other reviews there is never smoke with out fire and I will be avoiding at all costs

Purchased an engine from this company, the turbo was seized so we requested to return it and get a refund, we sent the engine back months ago which they accepted and they are refusing to send us the refund. Over £5000 out of pocket. Avoid at all costs, we have written this to warn others- do NOT give this company your money!

Order a set of wiper arms for my mokka. 30 mins after ordering i mange to fix my wipers so didn’t need the new ones. Called up and told them I didn’t need the order cancel it. Order wasn’t cancelled and item was sent out. Had to return back to them paying for the posting. Item was returned back in 19th January and after a number of calls and always being told the same it’s passed on to the accounts and the refund will be back in two days this has been going on for 6 weeks now and still now refund.
