Bought a prepay card from Walmart and apparently it did not activate properly jumping through hoops to rectify and recover funds practically impossible. Do not purchase a vanilla prepaid card to use completely ridiculous company

One star is actually too kind. My experience with this card has been absolutely terrible. Do not purchase. My purchases were immediately blocked and although I’m clearly the owner of the gift card I’m being told I have to wait 3 weeks for my funds. The customer service agents are awful, called 3 times and no one could even explain to me why I couldn’t use my card. Very disappointing
Update
This is still a very frustrating situation. Please if you’re planning on buy a gift card for someone else, please choose something different. Customer service continues to confuse me and tell me something different every time I talk to someone. I just pray this is resolved soon.

Card doesn’t work on any major websites such as Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy. Cannot even make a purchase on steam or epic games to the point I gave up and gave it to my daughter to try and use on Roblox and even that wouldn’t work. Contacted support they were useless and told me I can use it locally. So effectively it’s a scam, they advertise you can use it online but you can’t and you end up paying an activation fee for absolutely nothing. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT IF YOUR INTENTIONS ARE TO USE ONLINE!

If I could give them 0 stars, I would. I received a digital gift card as a gift from a company I was doing business with. I tried to place an order with the card then, and it was automatically blocked and put on hold. I’ve tried contacting Vanilla for well over a year with no luck.
I was able to speak with a rep today who made me know I need to get a purchase receipt from the sender to get a refund. Ridiculous since I no longer work with the company and have no communication with this business who had sent it to me. I have all the details on the card that I provided to them.
So to basically tell me nothing can me done and this is gone down the drain, screams SCAM to me. I don’t recommend.

It would be so helpful -- if the emailed receipt that I receive, for a giftcard purchase, would stipulate WHO it went to -- instead of just the amount of the card!
I send giftcards periodically to my family -- & when I go back & check the receipt -- I have to GUESS who it went to, esp. if they cant find it in their email! PLEASE, PLEASE start including the recipient's name on the sender's receipt! This would be so helpful!
