When you are a paid subscriber, they show you NOT SO DESIREABLE PROFILES, repeatedly! When you stop paying/membership ends, they send you all kinds of profiles of these AMAZINGLY GOOD LOOKING/EXTREMELY DESIREABLE GODLY CHRISTIANS.

Sooooo disappointing.

I was excited to find a large Christian dating app, so I created an upward account. The next day, I saw that I was banned and locked out of my upward account. I emailed customer support thinking it was a technical issue, but I was sent a response saying that their decision is final and I'll no longer be allowed to use the app - without an explanation. I'm not one to break rules, so I'm very confused about how I could be banned from this app.

I'm posting this review to warn people to approach with caution. The communication felt very cold and corporate. My expectations for this app were probably way too high. Very disappointed.

This app is a scam! Every time you try to interact the site wants you to upgrade! It’s a ponzi scheme

This site is awful, I paid for a subscription and a day later I couldn't access my account, and when I request help from support, they never answered my question as to why I no longer had access and never fix the problem I requested a full refund and they referred me to google. I followed all thier suggestions and 2 weeks later I still can't access my account! These site is a rip off.

What a joke this dating app is. For being a Christian app, they are money hungry like no other. They claim to be free, nothing is free. I paid 36.00 dollars for the premium, but I still can't see likes. They want another 72.00 dollars just to see likes. I emailed them and did not receive any response. PLEASE DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY. THEY ARE PATHETIC. THATS NOT THE CHRISTIAN WAY OF DOING THINGS. SHAME ON THEM

Pretty bad datong app. No likes on swipes you can swipe on and on and on and on and on and no one likes back. I'm a guy so I don't get women but I would recommend going somewhere else like tawkify if your over 50 or some matchmaking company because these modern dating apps are useless and are just a lonesome pile and piece of shit that the ceos scam you and your loved ones for money or it feels that way at least lot of ghosting and lot of messages don't get sent back. Terrible.

Upward dating is the biggest scam company out here, they won’t even accept my verification, which I’m legit as can be. They won’t verify those who are real but verify the Bots. That’s insane. They’ll take your money & scam you in the end. You’re better off going on “Hinge” never had a problem with that app. Upward is full of filthy deceived Christians. Who aren’t really for God at all. Don’t waste your time. I wouldn’t be writing this wasting my own time if I knew it was a good app. Definitely trash and scamming in the end. Save yourself or be another deceived victim.

Scam. Be aware the profile you are liking may be completely fake. I never signed up for an account, but in the last 3 weeks I have received emails about "my account" confirming the account being created and then changes being made to certain criteria in a profile they set up with my name and email address.

I tried to contact customer service to have the account removed but the customer service address in their emails is undeliverable (Host unknown / Host not found). No wonder they prominently advertise "Upward does not conduct criminal background checks on it's members. Please take proper safety precautions." They are the ones who may be conducting criminal activity by creating profiles based on information publicly available and then adding whatever information they think will interest their members.
