Good platform has a wide range of…
Good platform has a wide range of courses in several subjects with different length. I am a student for more than 4 years and they secedes to reach my eager. To get the ultimate benefits of the course, you really need to use all course material not rely only on videos, download and read summary note, prepare yourself with them side by side the lesson sides, attend videos, answer all assignments, and then practice as possible as you can. The courses are very useful because they focus on practical side, provide the students with free and premium tools to apply the tasks, give promotions when they are available as I experienced in Graphic Design diploma.
I have attend more than 4 long courses and happy with all new features added continuously especially when annual offer came back again.
But to be honest, the price policy is not clear as it must, the membership unlock the video library and course materials, but get each module certificate and final hard copy certificate have extra fees. Course materials some times unlooked, sometime not and need extra fees to pay. Mobile app is missing, too.

10% teaching, 90% rubbish / 100% hard sells
I've got a 3 month free trial and I'm currently working through the Diploma in Share Trading Investment Programme. I also started the accounting one but only 2 videos in.
So, to start with, the website is really HEAVY on pushing sales for materials, annual subscriptions and god knows what else. They are using pressure selling tactics like "sales" that end in an hour, with a countdown in the corner of the screen the whole time you're on the website, and guess what, the sale never ends, because it's always there. No surprise. Was pretty sure this isn't legal to do anymore but whatever.
There are also a lot of constant pop ups trying to get you to upgrade etc, not so much in the videos/classes but I just went to the website, logged in, found the class I needed and had about 4 huge pop ups filling almost my whole screen in just the 5 minutes it took to do that.
The videos are also not that great to view, pressing on the middle of the screen doesn't pause it like almost any other video anywhere and going back and forth feels a bit clunky.
On to the courses themselves. As I say, I've only started 2 out of the 100s of courses on offer but so far I'm not all that impressed.
It feels a lot like the instructors/teachers planned out their lessons and then upskillist said, that's great, but we want them to be twice as long, you know, value for money and all that. So the instructors went away and added insane amounts of fluff and irrelevant repetitive content to bulk out each video.
The guy doing the stocks lessons sounds more like an inspirational speaker. He's given me more inspirational quotes to "please write this down" than actual information about the stock market or how to invest in it.
He repeats the same very vague, top level information, over and over and over again. Not in a "if you keep repeating something, you'll learn and remember it" sort of teaching technique, more of a conversational, drag it out sort of way.
It's honestly grating my last nerve so bad I genuinely don't know if I can stand to listen to it anymore in order to complete the course. And I've already been listening at 1.25 speed. For the love of god just get to the point and teach me something!
The accounting one doesn't seem much better, unfortunately. The entire lesson was going back 1000s of years and telling us obscure historical stuff about the origins of accounting. I felt like Penny in Big Bang Theory when she asks Sheldon what Leonard does and he takes her back 1000's of years, looking at a night sky. I get it that context and history is important but come on...
Maybe I was just really unlucky with the two courses I picked. If I can force myself to continue with either of them I'll come back and update this review, but so far the courses feel like 10% being actually taught anything, 10% inspirational quotes, 50% fluff, and 30% repeating all the useless conversational fluff over and over again.

Great place to start
I think this is a great place to start learning something new. There’s a wide variety of courses on different subjects, and I can see how they’d be really helpful for beginners.
The customer support is just excellent! Very kind, responsive and genuinely cares about your experience. It’s clear the team puts a lot of effort into their job and client satisfaction.
I personally didn’t become a regular student, since I was already quite familiar with the topics I picked and needed something much more advanced and specific.
Overall, I was left with a positive impression. I think it’s a solid choice.

A very excited mentally disabled person who was given a 2nd chance to make a difference
I was awarded a 8week free course the time expired, and I was sad that I was unable to complete the course, then yesterday I received a msg from Parker at paddle telling me his given me another 4 weeks to complete course, I was extremely grateful as a disabled person this is to prove to myself I can do this. Existing Shaw Academy lifetime customer migration and experience.
I'm an existing lifetime customer of Shaw Academy that now got taken over by Upskillest. My account has been transferred to the new platform according to the emails, but when I try to log in or search for the Upskillest app in play Store there's nothing to be found. I've tried logging in via the Shaw Academy app and successfully viewed two lessons after my login was transferred again at each attempt. This morning I tried the same login method, but nothing is working. I've written emails to the email address provided for migrations in the Upskillest member transfer email for help, but this email address does not exist. I've had nowhere to direct enquiries and no help from Upskillest.
The course materials sound like they were written by AI. The presenters are also just reading the script like AI bots while the slide show is playing. The 30 something minute lesson I was listening to: Content, is accurate but very repetitive and unnecessarily fleshed out by AI. That content would have taken me 5-7min to construe to a class if I were teaching it live.
Being a professional person with a life outside Upskillest to get to, I'd appreciate not wasting time listening to a robotic droning voice repeating concepts over and over that waste my time. Give me the facts and move on. I have already watched the videos on 1.5 speed just to fit them into my day and still the waste of time is irritating because of the repetition.
Please try harder Upskillest.
Shaw Academy had real presenters that gave excellent information in an easy to understand and passionate way for a reasonable price. That was value, and the reason I bought a lifetime membership.
I'd love to have some form of contact - with a real person - to sort out my login and membership issues.
Please help.
