This Company's Warranty is a Joke
UPDATE 4/26: After leaving reviews and emailing countless times, this company finally made things right. They sent a new, working refrigerator.
We purchased a refrigerator from Unique that cost nearly $3000. While the appliance looks gorgeous, it arrived completely dead out of the box. When plugged in, it doesn't light up or run at all. Despite the appliance being under warranty, dealing with Unique's customer service has been a nightmare. After submitting all of the requested order information and making at least five phone calls and multiple emails, Unique informed me that they cannot find a technician to look at the refrigerator. Unique's solution is to send me a "motherboard part" (to solve a completely undiagnosed problem) with instructions so that I can have my own technician service it.
This company is beyond ludicrous. They can't find a technician to service their appliances, but they assume I have a magic refrigeration tech on call who is willing to take on something like this?! Even if I did, Unique had no answer for what I should do with the inevitable invoice I would receive in the unlikely event I could find someone to replace a motherboard in a brand-new, specialty $3,000 refrigerator. Apparently, asking this question was highly offensive to their customer service representative, because she hung up on me when I requested that my warranty claim be escalated to management.
Avoid at all costs.
