I had a very disappointing experience…
I had a very disappointing experience with Umrahme regarding Haramain train ticket bookings.
When booking train tickets through Umrahme for families travelling together, they separate family members into completely different carriages and seats. This is absolutely ridiculous, especially when families are travelling together for Umrah and naturally want to sit together.
When I raised this issue with their support team, they claimed this was the policy of the Haramain train service. However, this explanation is simply not true. If you book directly through the Haramain train app or website, you can clearly select your seats and ensure your family sits together.
It is extremely frustrating to be given misleading information instead of a proper solution. Separating families across different carriages without even giving the option to choose seats is poor service and creates unnecessary stress for travellers.
I strongly recommend booking Haramain train tickets directly through the official app instead of using Umrahme if you want control over your seating and to ensure your family can travel together.

We would like to clarify that seat allocation is controlled by the transport provider (Haramain Train Operator), and seats are assigned based on their system availability at the time of booking. As a result, adjacent or same-coach seating cannot always be guaranteed, especially on busy or sold-out trains.
That said, we always try our best to support seat preference requests, particularly for families, subject to availability from the provider.
We understand how important it is for families to sit together, and we sincerely apologize for the experience you had. We are currently working with Haramain High Speed Railway to enable seat selection on our platform, and this feature will be available very soon to improve customer experience.
We truly appreciate your feedback, as it helps us continue to improve our services.
