Effective and Professional Interview Coaching
I worked with Mary during my Oxford MBA interview preparation and found her coaching to be highly effective, structured, and respectful of both time and outcomes.
In our first session, Mary clearly explained the structure of the Oxford interview and the broad strategy behind it. She shared specific resources to address major pain points and demonstrated a detailed understanding of how the system works. It was quickly evident that Mary had done extensive research in this space to develop this level of expertise.
Subsequently, our mock interviews closely followed the precise style and format of the actual Oxford interview, including an intentionally adversarial tone to identify weaknesses under pressure. Again showing a deep familiarity with the process and an understanding of what interviewers are truly testing.
Her post-interview feedback was highly detailed and practical. She laid out clear strategies for handling different question types, refined my delivery for impact and tone, and followed up with written feedback that documented weaknesses and concrete mitigation steps. Each subsequent session built on the previous one, improving comfort, body language, and presentation. Final refinements, including prepared notes for common questions, were particularly impactful in building confidence before the interview.
When the actual interview took place, it followed the same structure as the mock interviews. Because of this preparation, I was able to understand the purpose behind each question, adapt my prepared talking points quickly, and stay grounded and on topic with minimal time spent thinking on my feet. Improved strategies for career goals and story-based questions significantly improved flow and impact.
The outcome speaks for itself. The interview resulted in an offer of admission. Even with a highly compressed timeline, Mary fully accomplished the goals we set out to achieve. This experience reflects a high level of competence and efficiency, and I felt that my time and resources had been utilised effectively and respectfully.
I would recommend Mary to anyone looking for focused, honest, and outcome-driven interview preparation, especially for highly structured and competitive processes like Oxford.
