Ugly Baby is a fantastic service that I use all the time as a serial small business entrepreneur to test marketing copy with consumers. I have new business ideas all the time, and my first step is usually to throw together a landing page and test conversion rate from ad-driven page views to some CTA (e.g., clicks on "buy now") on a modest budget of a few hundred dollars. Before Ugly Baby, I would run a draft of the landing page by my wife and perhaps a friend or two to refine it before spending money directing traffic to it. Often conversion would be poor and I would have no idea if it was because the product/service was difficult to understand from the marketing copy or because there the product/service truly didn't have any demand in the market. Doing this has saved me hundreds of dollars in wasted spend on new-idea evaluation!
